After doing a lot of searching for a hotel, I settled for Adelaide Inn because of the low rates. At $109 per night after local taxes and fees,  this place came up as the best value and it did not disappoint

The room appeared immaculately maintained. The staff treated us courteously. The location served us well, very visible and right next to the freeway.

I love how they offer free muffins, scones and oranges in the lobby. Chilling in the lobby is Junior the cat. Junior won't mind if you give him a hug. Thanks to Junior, all the lizards on the property have no tails.

This inn is comfy, spacious, and very accommodating. The night clerk was especially friendly and helpful--- most especially on the first night of our stay, when we ended up next to some very noisy neighbors. Our main man at the desk gave us an upstairs secluded room, no muss or fuss. High points in my book for that one!

Also points for: free cookies! a cute lobby that you can hang out in! menus and referrals for local restaurants and wineries!

The scenery isn't great, but that's why you pay several hundred dollars more to stay at a B&B. This place is right off the freeway in the middle of a shopping mall, and across from a rodeo site (when the "western arts" are in town). That being said, the manure smell didn't permeate our room, and the noise of the road didn't make it inside either.

I'd recommend this place, for a budget-friendly and authentic experience.

A great place to stay in Paso. We were pleasantly surprised we saw how big, clean and luxe our room was. Perfect little home away from home. The staff were friendly, the location was fine and we got a free bottle of wine when we checked in! Centrally located.
My only complaint was that the pool wasn't heated. In fact, it was freezing. I do realize it was February, but it would have been nice to have a swim:) I won't hold that against them though;)

Oh, and weird sidebar... they had an ethernet cord to plug into your computer instead of wifi, but it was free!

A great gem in Paso Robles.  Looks like a regular motel on the outside, but offers tons of tasteful touches in the rooms (nice tile floors, elegant furniture, sanitized TV remote control !) and outside in the pool/garden/palm tree/miniature golf area.

Excellent staff, courteous and professional.  Located next to a cool bunch of ethic/comfort food restaurants (not fast food).  Right off the freeway but we never heard the noise at night.

At that price, this was a 5 star rating.

We were on our way to somewhere interesting and we stopped here.  And of COURSE they left me in the car :(   Here's what my owners had to say:

The hotel is small and very quaint.  The rooms are nicely furnished and the staff is pleasant.  Because it is a smaller hotel, there are not a lot of other guests to interfere with your stay - whether it be at the pool, the cute little mini-golf, or elsewhere on the grounds.   There's a really nice BBQ restaurant / bar within walking distance !  - Johnny

Hoorah for the barbecue restaurant next door !!!!  - Dirkie

This is a perfect place to stay in Paso Robles. Very reasonable rates (AAA) and really clean and nice rooms.  The staff are super friendly and helpful.  We arrived to find that we had been upgraded which was so nice.  It's a perfect location for wine tasting and minutes from the downtown area.  We will most definitely stay here again.

If you're  coming to Paso, stay here.  The room was ultra clean and quite modern.  The bedding was fabulous, along w/ great linens.  Complimentary scones and fruit in the office in they morning (and across the street from a Starbucks if you're hooked).  Complimentary internet in the rooms.  It is clear that this older property has been maintained with pride by the ownership.  Compared to other chain properties in Paso Robles, it's also a great bargain.  We would stay here again.

Adelaide Inn was exactly what we were looking for for our last-minute weekend girls' trip to Paso Robles. Our room was clean, affordable (AAA discount) and close to both downtown Paso and to the wineries.

When we first pulled up, I was a bit nervous because it looks like a motel. A very-well kept motel, but still a motel. However, as soon as we opened the door to our room, I was immediately at ease. Our double-queen, non-smoking room was really non-smoking. The linens were fresh, soft and abundant. The bathroom area was well designed - not large, but efficient, so three girls could primp without stepping on one another. There was even a microwave and mini-fridge where we could store our snacks. Lastly, the front-desk staff was friendly and prompt at checking us in and out.

Adelaide Inn was by no means a world-class resort, however it has just the right amount of charm, cleanliness and affordability to make it a perfect resting spot while visiting Paso Robles.

We ended up staying here on a recommendation from Trip Advisor when our regular spot (Best Western Black Oak Motor Lodge) was full. What a find! Which is to say, it's completely comparable to the Best Western next door, but cheaper, especially with the AAA discount. Pool & everything! We'll definitely be including these guys in the price comparison from now on.

If you don't mind sleeping close to a gas station and the freeway, this inn has nice rooms and comfy beds at a fair price. Once you shut the door, you won't even notice.

The innkeeper is very informative and 'downtown' paso Robles is only a 5 minute drive down the road and it's at the crossroad of the wine tasting highways.

Right next to a drive through Starbucks (only in America!).

The Adelaide Inn is an adorable little motel in a fabulous location. We enjoy staying here when we do our wine tasting getaways. I initially booked this motel based solely on the positive reviews and was very leery about staying in a motel but the Adelaide Inn is so charming you don't feel like you're in a budget motel.

The mini fridge and microwave sure come in handy and as a female that loves primping and pampering, the extra-large vanity area was fabulous! We also took advantage of the Jacuzzi at night after dinner - but be warned: it is very hot.

The office staff is very friendly and gave us a couple of free tasting coupons as well as made our dinner reservations for us each evening. We will definitely stay here again.

I really can't imagine staying anywhere else in Paso Robles.  If I am at another hotel, it is because the Adelaide Inn was sold out that night.

The rooms are large and REALLY clean with cozy furniture and absurdly comfy beds.  The bathroom is nice and has two sinks and even a separate little make-up area with an upholstered stool and magnifying mirror.  There are charming posters from prior wine festivals and a few plants around the room.  They even leave a couple of novels (our room had the Secret Garden and something else) on a shelf for you to read while you're there.

The folks up front are so friendly.  You check-in, they have fresh baked cookies and fruit from a local farm.  You check-out, they send you off with  a blueberry-lemon scone.  They encourage you to relax in the pool area which is all plant-filled and tropical-like.  They ask you if you need directions anywhere and make a recommendation if you're looking for some eggs.

There is absolutely no reason their rates should be as low as they are--except perhaps because they prefer to sell out virtually every single weekend.

We came here for a wine tasting trip through Paso Robles. We came on a recommendation from an aunt. It definitely was a great tip. Driving up my husband was not feelin it. After checking in and parking he thought it was going to be like a motel. Once we opened the door to our room we were SHOCKED. First off it was a really big room. Second and most important it was extremely clean. Everything was updated and honestly I thought much nicer than the pictures on the website did justice. We loved that our room had a mini freezer, fridge, and microwave!

The bed was very comfortable and I got the feeling they recently re did everything as everything all seemed very new. The only downfall was no wifi...you still have to plug in the dsl which doesn't work on our iPad so that was a little disappointing.

Lastly, the ladies at the front desk were very helpful. You are really close to all wineries which makes it easy to get going. Also you are close to downtown where all the good restaurants and shops are. On our next trip to Paso, I don't see a point in trying anything else out as it was so well priced for what you got!

My husband and I stayed Friday through Sunday for a wedding near by. I had checked out the website before hand and it looked very nice. When we pulled up we were a little disappointed that it was more of a motel than hotel but once we got into our room the fear dissipated. It looks as though it was a funky motel once upon a time and it has been completely redone. The rooms are spacious and clean. My favorite part was that there was a huge sit down vanity in the bathroom area! Perfect for doing hair and make-up. And I loved the scent of the soaps!

The lobby had complimentary fresh fruit, pastries and cookies, though I only took advantage of a pear while I was there, they all looked yummy. I had a hard time finding the fitness room so I went into the lobby to ask, and you have to go to them to get a key-card to room 100 that is attached to the lobby. Its small but just what I needed: a treadmill, some weight machines and a TV with cable (luckily playing a Lee Pace movie so I had something to run towards). There's also a full bathroom and towels to wipe off sweat or, in my case, make-up from the day before.

All in all, it was very nice and I would stay at the Adelaide Inn if we were ever in the area again, though not sure why I would be.

You really can't beat this place for the price. We arrived early and they upgraded us to a larger room, which was nice. I asked the lady at the front desk about wine tasting tickets when we checked in, and she asked if we had any specific wineries we wanted to try. Since it was our first time in Paso Robles, we weren't sure, so she gave us coupons for wineries that were fairly close. We saved a bunch of $$ since we didn't have to pay tasting fees and some of the coupons even had discounts for purchases. The room itself was spacious and clean, and included a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. We were definitely pleased with the accommodations. The next day, I asked for tasting tickets to specific wineries, and they were happy to provide them. No, this place isn't the Ritz Carlton, but it provided a great base for us to do our wine tasting and for the price we paid, it was a steal.

I love this place! Have stayed here twice now, and will probably stay here every time I come back to Paso Robles. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and thoughtful, and haven't made a bad recommendation for food or wineries yet! Although the lobby is a bit "down-home country," the rooms are overall quite contemporary.

The room I had this time was really noisy, unfortunately, with construction vehicles plugging away at 8am on a Sunday morning (they work on Sundays?), and the next-door neighbors blasting their television at 7am. However, the room was really spacious, and I love the extra sink and vanity area, not to mention the in-room fridge/freezer.

They have in-room ethernet cables, which are okay, but I would love to see wireless internet, as well as in-room DVD players.

I say 4 stars, not because its Sheik, or amazing, but because when you are going wine tasting, its a great place to pass out drunk, and for the price you just cant beat this place.  Yes the exterior looks like a folky motel 6, but inside the rooms is a different story.  Clean, Comfy beds, close to downtown Paso Robles, right off the freeway yet still quiet, and most importantly an easy jaunt to wine tasting.  Staff is friendly enough without being a pain, and they have a bunch of wineries they are in cahoots with that offer free tastings when you stay with them.  Flat out, cant beat it

Four stars for what it is and what it does but just know that Adelaide is a motel and not a hotel or really even an "inn". Though with that being said, the rooms are clean, spacious and have decent amenities. A comfortable bed and the black out shade that keep the room dark in the morning made for a pleasant two night stay.

The location is definitely a key selling point... it's only a few minutes from downtown Paso and right off the freeway. Wineries are only a few exits down the freeway.

Even on a seemingly sold out night we had zero issues with noise. At around a hundred dollars a night it was definitely cheaper than most of the other places in town. I'd probably stay here again - not because it's an opulent destination but because it delivers on exactly what you need for a couple of nights - clean, quiet and affordable.

Super clean, recent remodel, good location and an excellent value for money spent. Spacious rooms, comfy bed and quiet even on New Year's Eve. Over the top Xmas decor, and a bit heavy on the gnomes in the front office, and the 'fitness' room is a bit weak, but those are just quibbles and don't detract from the stay. 5 stars, no doubt.

Such a cute little hotel in Paso Robles. I stayed here with some friends when we attended our friends' wedding, also in Paso. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk seemed annoyed at everything. She was bad at customer service, but wasn't rude. I can't quite put my finger on it, but she wasn't the friendliest person on the block.

The room was spacious. The best part was the bathroom area. Haha. But it was because there were two sinks, one in the bathroom, one outside of it, and plenty of mirrors. This was really helpful when 5 of us are trying to get ready for the wedding. The room also had a fridge, which was useful for the leftover food from lunch.

My other friends were also staying here, but checked-in 2 days before I did. The hoteel staff was still able to have our rooms right next to each other, which was great!

Another plus: during check-out, there were granny smith apples in the lobby, so I took one for the road!

I hit Paso Robles with friends late this summer.  They arranged the hotel scene for us.  Upon driving up to the Adelaide Inn I was wondering what kind of hokey motel is this.  Upon entering the room we were all completely impressed.  The room was large, clean and modern.  Total comfort.  The office staff were pleasant and gave us great suggestions of tasting rooms and wineries to visit.  The free tasting or 2 for 1 tasting coupons that they gave us were very helpful that day.
I plan on staying at the Adelaide Inn the next time we spend some time in the area.  I've already recommended it to some friends and they agree me with.  Their stay was most enjoyable.

This place is like a really clean, roomy holiday inn with a little better decor.  Your door goes directly outside so I think that automatically makes any hotel/inn less fancy.

I actually liked this place a lot.  Mostly because it was around 100 bucks a night.  Can't complain about that.  We got a fridge/microwave, roomy vanity area for women, king bed with desk, recliner, AND loveseat.  The room was actually pretty spacious compared with other hotels in this price range.

The front desk staff was very very friendly and helpful.  They gave us lots of info on wine tasting in the area and restaurants and coupons for everything.  So talk to them before you decide to wander around cause we could have saved 5 dollars at margies diner if we had asked first.

I'm a pretty light sleeper so I wake up for everything.  The noise from the freeway wasn't an issue, but the guy/girl next to us snoring sucked.  The walls seem pretty thin and you can hear your neighbors easily, mostly when you're sleeping and they are not.  If they were making sex noises I would have dropped this rating to a 3 star.

Great place to stay in Paso Robles. I had the vibe it was going to be a mom and pop motel that was redecorated but it was anything but. It is a large complex and although it has the motel style exterior doors, the inside is very nice! Huge rooms, comfortable beds with great linens, great bathroom setup with vanity area seperate from shower/toilet. Very clean and very quiet. We normally stay at the Courtyard but this is just as good and less than half the cost.

We picked this hotel for the great price, and the decent reviews.  It certainly exceeded our expectations.  Ask for a room in the single story portion to avoid upstairs neighbors.  Our only real complaint, was the gap under the door; we could hear people walking by at night.  We blocked that gap with some towels and it was fine.

Our room was right by the pool, very clean and comfortable.  Nice toiletries in the bathroom (although no hair conditioner; only shampoo), refrigerator and microwave...as well as a coffee maker in the room.

The pool is nice; fairly clean and the hot tub was also fun.  Towels are provided out by the pool.

Charlie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful...gave us some good tips and info on local wineries.  They also offer cookies in the afternoon, and pastries in the morning, as well as fresh apples all the time.  We would definitely stay here again.

I was uncertain about this place, but it's another lesson learned not to judge a book by its cover! The hotel room was quite exquisite with the decor and the quality of the bed sheets, pillows, and cover.

Although the walls are super thin and every laugh or crying child was heard, it was worth our stay.

We came during the peak time of the wedding and wine tasting season, so the price of a room per night was pricey. The fast food restaurants (McDonalds, Taco Bell, KFC, Jack in the Box) down the block complemented our expenditure. Alongside with inexpensive fast food places, there are connecting, moderately priced restaurants to Best Western directly across the street.

Adelaide Inn is minutes from convenient stores and downtown Paso Robles. It's the perfect location and place to stay at when visiting PR.

Rooms were above average for a motel.  My biggest complaint was our friends were located pretty far away, and we asked for close.  Don't worry about the railroad or freeway - we never heard a thing to bother.  Very good prices for Paso.  And they've got a deal with the neighboring Motel so you have access to a computer.

This has become my go-to hotel for Paso. It's neat, clean, not too far off the 101 and 46, but quieter than some hotels closer to the street or train tracks. The rooms in the back, 2 story area seem to be a bit larger and nicer than the front more "motel style" rooms. The hotel has a pool, a hot tub, sauna, fun little mini golf area, washers and dryers, and are walking distance to a Starbucks, mini mart, and a strip of restaurants that includes burgers, BBQ, and mexican. Hotel rooms have fridges, and some have microwaves as well, which is nice if you are staying a while.

The decor is sort of Asian meets CA, with prints from local wineries on the wall.

The only thing I wish they had is a frequent stayer program!

In order to show that I'm not an entitlement freak, here is a review of the Adelaide Inn (We stayed here the night after the awful Holiday Inn Express in Mill Valley).

Cute grounds off the 101 FWY. Cross between Tiki and cabins?
I liked it. The rooms were NICE. Clean, with no weird smells. The A/C was quiet and worked like a charm. There is DSL hook up for the laptops (the cord isn't very long, so you're at the desk), and there was a wireless somewhere we jacked into later on.

The place was a good deal that I would recommend to anyone passing through, or enjoying the wine tasting in town. The staff was pleasant and helpful as well. No hassles whatsoever. Easy check in, easy check out. 82 bucks with AAA discount.

Wish we had brought swimwear for the jacuzzi, that would have been NIIIICE.

The pumpkin muffins were lackluster in the morning, alas, there's got to be something for me to grumble over...j/k. Not bad.

There are half a dozen places to eat in the immediate surrounding area;  Pizza, Starbucks, Big Bubba's BBQ, Denny's, Marcie's, etc,. Heck of a spot to stop at driving through from San Fran!!

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel and that is ok for me. The room was clean, bed was fresh, air conditioner worked, and amenities plentiful. Not to mention when you checked in there was a cat curled up on the sofa and snacks available if you wanted. I felt very at home and the owners made me feel welcomed. You get a lot of room (space) at this motel for the money. But the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors loud and clear. The proximity is great but we'll opt for a  different choice next time around.

My husband and I stayed here on a overnight trip. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Lots of little things that added up to make it comfortable such as a good sized vanity area outside of the bathroom and bedding that was scratchy and institutional-like. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurant options nearby and close to the highway.

    We definitely recommend
