So you're thinking about buying a gun? You're not all that familar with guns but you'd like to be.
If this is the case you should head over to Addisons. They have a large selection of guns, new and used at great prices. The staff is always ready and willing to answer your questions, but that isn't the best thing addisons has to offer.
You can sign up for their classes. There is a fee and you must have a drivers license or state issued id. The class I took was the Basic Pistol Handling and Gun Safety Course. It's the class you must take before applying for your concealled permit. You can take the class for gun saftey alone, it's a stand alone class, you don't have to apply for the permit if you don't want to.
The Instructor, John Lassiter, is phenominal. He's a great teacher, but he's also very entertaining to listen too. I had fun learning about guns and gun safety.
I would encourage anyone with a gun in their home to take his class. The class will take about 4 hours, with a break inbetween. You get to handle different types of pistols and semi automatics and after the class you will shoot a pistol at a target to pass the class using all the knowledge you have gained during the 4 hours.
It was a fun experience and I no longer feel uncomfortable around a gun because I know how to handle one and be safe with it.Listed in: Firsties
