I've only been here during their studio sales, and they are FANTASTIC. The prices are reasonable, and the selection of fascinating vintage and antique goods is amazing. Sign up for their mailing list to be notified of studio sales - the drive is worth it!
NOTE NEW ADDRESS: As of 2012, the addy is 3054 Telegraph (a block from Ashby), Oakland, 94705.
PS: They also like to sell at the San Francisco Vintage Expo! :D -

I have never been so PLEASED. I was looking for a one of a kind invitation for the 10 year anniversary of my business. I went to Julie so that I could get something totally unique...
I ended up with the most unbelievably great invite. It is fantastic. It even has a tiny grommet in it to hold the 2 pieces together so that it articulates. Not to mention the layers of ink, the metallic quality, the pasteboard kind of paper (wow!) and the die cut that had to be made.
If you want something REALLY special, this is the place to go. But remember, beautiful handmade things take time to make. Go in early so that they can give your project the attention it needs. This Oakland address is their studio space.
The tiny retail shop is 866 COLUSA, just off of Solano Ave. Full of precious antique glassware & jewelry, hand painted, letterpress, and hand screen printed paper items. (I saw some tiny die-cut paper doll furniture the last time I went in.) Totally worth a trip over to see what treasure is there! -

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this shop! They make unbelievably gorgeous hand made invitations and paper goods as well as a variety of beautiful vintage knickknacks, beads and home decor.
The ladies who run/work there are wonderful too. They are always friendly and their love of what they do is evident. I love going there and talking to them about everything in the store.
They also have a yearly studio sale plum full of all kinds of vintage/antique goodies! The next one is Aug 28-30, and I will be there with my rolling suitcase in hand to load up on fantastic stuff!Listed in: Born to Shop
