Panic. I was heading into a panic. You see, I own a condo in River North that I rent. My current tenants were about to move out, and the living room floor carpet needed to be removed and hardwood flooring installed. It needed to be done during a specific week, it needed to be done fast, and right so that I could quickly turn the condo around and re-rent it without loosing too much rental income. There I was, days away, and no contractor to do the installation.
I had previously lined up an installer, and I thought all was set. However, the installer backed out just days before the work was to be done. The condo is high-end, and has very strict rules on how the flooring was to be installed, times of day, and insurance requirements. I had gone through 5-6 installers with no luck when I came across Daniel at ADC. To make matters worse, I live in Austin - having moved there a couple years ago from Chicago
Daniel recited the required specs on our first call, said he had all the insurance and could meet my timeframe. He delivered a quote, and agreed to use the material supplier that I had previously found. He had his team pick up the flooring for me, and deliver it.
But with flooring, service is only part of the story. The installation is critical. The two men who installed the flooring did a fantastic job. They took great care in all the trimming, leveling and floor itself. They vacumed and cleaned behind themselves, and even vacuumed the adjacent rooms and condo hallway.
When the job was done, there was a box of flooring remaining. His team returned the flooring for me, so that I could receive a credit.
I was very happy with the work, the service, the friendly workers, clean up and their flexibility to work with me from 1,000 miles away.

Every bit of our experience with ADC Floors was spectacular! We had quotes from 4 companies to refinish our floors, and Daniel was very open and upfront from the first time we spoke. He was able to meet at the house and give a detailed (and accurate) quote. He pulled out a few impressive tools (all digital) that gave him the dimensions of the rooms. Within minutes, he was able to put together the contract and provided us with a digital copy. After looking at the price, he was correct...wasn't necessarily the cheapest (VERY competitive though), but seemed by far the most ethical, responsive and trustworthy! He was hired on the spot!
On the first day, we gave him a 50% deposit but forgot to ask for any sort of receipt or acknowledgment of the transaction. Without asking, (and about an hour later) he had sent an email to me mentioning that he received the deposit for $X amount. -Ethical
Everyday throughout the job, he was in frequent communication with us and really showed that he takes his job very seriously. -Responsive
When everything was finished, we went to the house and were truly amazed at the quality of the work that his team provided. One the first day, we simply gave him the key to the house and let him do his thing. Every day, he locked up the house and left it in a secure manner. - Trustworthy
I hope that I don't need to have my floors done in the near future, but if I do, ADC Floors will be the only company that I will call.

Let me/us start off by saying that we would recommend ADC Floors to any friends and family without hesitation.
Daniel was a consummate professional from the beginning. He talked us through the entire process educating us along the way. His bid was very competitive. Our job was a partial one - we were keeping the tiles in the kitchen floor and replacing carpeting in the living, bedroom and den. The floor was uneven and Daniel explained thoroughly why it should be leveled and he was very clear with his use of a long 2x4 showing peaks/valleys in the floor.
The leveling led to a difference in heights between the kitchen and living rooms. At first, we were not happy with the threshold and told Daniel so. He came back and we couldn't be happier with the new threshold he put in place. It was gradual and very clean and on par with the rest of the excellent job Daniel's staff had done.
The only thing we would have done differently would have been to get a better estimate/worst case scenario for the leveling job. Regardless, the final price still came well under the competition and we couldn't be more pleased with the new hardwood floors.

We had our floors done in the summer of 2010. Our house is on the small side (1,00 sq ft) I've been meaning to give them a good review. Daniel was great and they did the job pretty fast. The price was very good. I was pleased all around. We still get compliments on our floors.

Our floors were atrocious! We had a very deep mahogany stain and our floors were warped in some areas and had scuff marks all throughout the entry hall. We were sick of the dark floor and wanted to get our red oak floors back to their natural state with a low VOC water based sealer.
So glad we decided to go with ADC. First off, the estimate process was very organized, efficient, and not to mention the job was more than fairly priced. The owner, Daniel, walked me through the work plan and explained the entire process to me quite thoroughly. His crew showed up on time the first day and went right to work.
During the sanding process and removal of the old stain Daniel called me and asked that I visit the work site because some of the original stain had seeped into the soft wood in some areas and he wanted me to take a look at it. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of his crew in letting me know before moving forward. They are perfectionists and it shows in their work. The effect was very minimal so we decided to proceed with the natural finish. They also replaced some squeaky floor boards for us and installed a new threshold.
All-in-all the job took 1 1/2 days to complete for roughly 600SF and they look fantastic... better than brand new! We will definitely use ADC for all future flooring projects and highly recommend them to friends/family. -

First off I don't have a good idea if the price was competitive but a couple of friends with properties said it sounded reasonable.
I moved out of town and got this estimate over 6 months in advance knowing I would return when I was ready to start getting my condo ready for sale.
Everything was perfect. Zero complaints.
The estimate process was easy, Daniel the owner explained everything and all the options and I got everything in writing.
They showed up right on time, including accommodating my request to start a day earlier than we originally agreed upon. They took the request and notified me when they learned they could start a day early.
Three workers were on time, took great care with my property, were friendly and efficient and answered all my questions.
The results were great! It is a 700 Sq. foot condo with hard wood floors, the result was flawless.
The cost was $1500 for dustless sanding and 3 coats of finish.
Again, not sure if that is high, low or average, but since I was coordinating everything from the other side of the country, I was happy to pay for reliable service and the outcome I got!
Can't recommend this company highly enough! -

OK, the things that you need to know summed up into cohesive sentences:
1.) Daniel gave me a great quote and explained the process.
2.) Angel and his team were not only on time, but came early most days.
3.) On the day off when we were moving furniture between rooms, he called and asked if we needed help moving. On his DAY OFF!
We went with a darker finish. It's walnut and we could not be happier. I am very happy with it and the attention to detail. -

I needed to get my floors repaired/refinished because of a leak I had. I had this done at my old place and I remember what and ordeal and what a mess it is. I had called two people for estimates and liked them both and they were both around the same price. I decided to go with ADC. So glad I mad that choice. They are extremely professional and have great follow up.
Like I said I knew from before that this was an ordeal. I had to hire movers to move all the furniture to another floor and then let the ADC guys in the next morning. I then moved out for the rest of the week while they worked on the floors.
When I came back to my house later that week I was VERY surprised. Not only did the floors look great but there was no mess. Last time I had this done even though the used the "dustless" sanders there was still dust everywhere. With ADC the place was spotless. Beyond the smell and the great looking floors you would of never known there were there.
Highly recommend ADC if you need to get your floors done. -

ADC did an excellent job for me and more importantly provided me with multiple options that fit with my schedule and budget. Daniel has created a very efficient process and is totally transparent about the estimating, purchasing and installation process.
Daniel spent time looking at the work that was required and then was flexible enough to provide me 4 different proposals that provided me with the options and timing to fit my needs. Dan the project manager was extremely professional and very careful with my furniture.
At different times they provided me an opportunity to check their work which was impeccable. In addition, they were on-time, within budget and actually helped with more than they were contracted for, because they want their work to be as perfect as possible and believe in superior customer service.
I have the rest of my house to finish with more floor installation and I would not trust anyone else but Daniel and Dan. Can't recommend highly enough since the cost is competitive and because they are completely trustworthy. -

Daniel and his team were great! Daniel took the time to explain the process to me and helped me to make decisions about what products to use. His team was on time, respectful, professional, efficient and CLEAN. I expected everything to be covered in dust. But, they did a great job sealing off areas and there was no mess at all.
I had my floors refinished and I also had them repair a few boards that had been broken. The floors look amazing! The price was great, and the staff couldn't have been better. If you have flooring repairs or just routine refinishing, I highly recommend ADC.
Additionally, after the crew left on the first day, an alarm started going off in my place. (NOTE: take down your alarms) I was not around to take them down and Daniel's crew had the spare set of keys my neighbor normally keeps. I called Daniel and explained the situation to him. His crew member was nice enough to come back to my house at night and take care of it for me so that my neighbors didn't kill me when I got back. -

I can't believe that I had the experience I've had with Daniel after all the amazing reviews. His demeanor is exactly as described and the similarities end there!!
I called for an estimate a few weeks ago and we agreed to an early morning appointment the next day. 5 minutes prior to our scheduled time, I got a text message that we'd have to reschedule the time for later. After a quick chat, we agreed to a loose time in the afternoon on the condition that Daniel would call ahead to let me know he was on his way from his other appointment. I had other contractors working in my home at the time, so having a little warning was important to me, but it was the contractors that let me know someone was at the door. We proceeded to look at the floors I was hoping to have his team work on. In the 15 minutes he was in my home, Daniel answered his phone no less than 3 times, interupting the consultation so severely that he left without really answering my important questions.
We all have crazy days where things just don't go the way you hope, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He measured the rooms and promised to email his proposal within the next days. I waited almost a week and hadn't heard a peep, so I called to check in. He apologetically explained that he was distracted by something else and assured me that I would definitely receive the proposal by the next morning at the latest. It's now over 2 weeks and never a single email or return call (...ya, I scoured my spam mail folder to be absolutely sure I didn't miss anything)
Real nice guy, but couldn't follow through---Had to go with a different offer because I never got one from Daniel -

They were very prompt and courteous at first. Very communicative and came out to my home to do an estimate. I think after realizing it was a small job they then blew me off in favor of other jobs. Tried to contact them and they replied initially but eventually still didn't even get an estimate from them.

Highly recommended.
I called on 4 flooring contractors that were highly regarded on Yelp to give us quotes on refinishing 2 stories of hardwood floors.
We chose Daniel and ADC because he explained everything patiently and thoroughly. He was also almost $1000 cheaper than the others three. He explained that some of the stringers and risers didn't really need to be refinished but just buffed which saved me money. Job also was finished ahead of schedule.
Most importantly, the final product looks great. -

Excellent experience. This is the first time I've taken the time to write a review on Yelp (yes, I'm ashamed). I'm here because I real.y cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Daniel and ADC Flooring. The floors in my new condo were pretty ratty. Not only did Daniel provide an attention to detail heads and shoulders above the other three estimates I got, his price was in line with the far weaker competitors. The small extra percentage for a thorough detailing of floors that I don't expect I will have to touch for years is well worth it. Top quality at competitive prices.

This is a fine, responsible company, whose owner, Daniel, is knowlegible, pleasant, and efficient, and whose crew, Danny, Paulo, and Paulo's brother, work quickly, clean, and are pleasant and helpful to live around while flooring is being installed. I had flooring for my whole house installed by ADC and am satisfied with the company's work. I recommend this company highly. I wish they accepted credit cards.

This review is so long overdue, especially because Daniel and the whole crew at ADC did such a wonderful job! They went above and beyond refinishing our old floors, replacing only a few necessary boards. The result looks terrific.
From the start, it was great working with Daniel, a genuinely nice and funny guy (and I usually hate it when a contractor cracks jokes). Daniel is just level with you and he gets all my respect for that. The pricing was totally reasonable to begin with. But when we were not completely satisfied with one small part of the floor, Daniel offered to add another coat to the whole apartment free of charge (!) so we won't have any unevenness in the final coat. This was already a few weeks after they had finished the job and we had moved in and had our furniture set already, so we ended up deciding to add the extra coat on the whole place minus the bedrooms. They did such a great job -- you cannot tell ANY difference in coats which Daniel had warned us about.

I could not be more pleased with my experience with ADC Floors. These guys are unbelievable.
1. They fit us in exactly when I wanted to quote the job and complete the project.
2. The price was very competitive and actually a little lower than other bids.
3. They gave me a written invoice and the price never varied.
4. They showed up on time for every appointment.
5. Our apartment was shockingly clean when the job was done. I'm amazed at how little dust there was and we went with the traditional method of sanding.
6. Our floors look AMAZING. They seriously look brand new and they were in terrible shape.
7. They had a professional demeanor through it all.
8. The treatment they used did not leave a gross smell. They finished on a Tuesday afternoon and we moved everything back in on Thursday and I honestly didn't notice a smell.
9. The level of communication was far above anything I ever expected. They called prior to every appointment, responded to every email, returned every phone call.
10. They took photos of the job as it was progressing and emailed them to me!! How amazing is that?!
If you are having your floors redone, don't go anywhere else. I promise you won't regret it. -

Was highly impressive with the professionalism of Daniel and his crew. Daniel on-time with our initial meeting, provided me with a very accurate estimate and didn't try to hard sell me anything.
He was able to work with my schedule and get my floors completed in the timeframe that I had requested.
My husband, who originally against re-doing the floors in our rental unit, was also thoroughly impressive with Daniel and the amazing transformation of our hardwood floors. The developer has done a poor job, and Daniel and his men were amazing.
I love the floors in my condo now, and I hope my renters do, too. -

We used ADC floors to sand and stain three levels of our townhouse, including 26 stairs of a spiral staircase, and are very happy with the entire experience!

I can't say enough good things about these guys. On time, polite and most importantly they did a phenomenal job repairing a damaged floor from the moving guys. My situation was a bit unique because the floor is an engineered hardwood, which is much more difficult to repair than normal hardwood ( I am told). Daniel used a process of melting a mold into the damaged area and then painting over the repair. I would not believe this had I not been there to watch but it looks great! I cannot even see the original damage. On top of that Daniel is a really nice guy as is his partner Danny.

This was the BEST consultation I have EVER experienced with any contractor or sub-contractor. EVER.
Daniel was responsive, on-time, explained my options in a very patient and comprehensible way (he could be a professor) and has a passion for the science behind flooring/finishing/process (it's not just a job). He pointed out facts about my floor and options that two other specialists did not.
I was astonished to see that he generated an estimate on-site (with details), walked me through the quote and did not try to upsell me.
His price was very competitive and we was willing to adjust certain costs to address our needs.
Can't wait to see the floors! -

I was looking for a company to install cork flooring on my second floor and I came upon Daniel's company on yelp. He runs a kind, honest and timely company and most of all the work is good. The price is good and the care that Daniel puts in to make sure you will get will you asked for is above par---he has a nice eye for design as well. I liked my floors so much, I hired ADC to rip out the carpet on my stairs (that I was dying to get rid of ) and now have a beautiful set of painted wood stairs. Highly recommended.

I would definitely recommend ADC floors. They were efficient, very reasonably priced, and our floors look fantastic. After they were gone my husband noticed a spot where the laminate had pooled and they were very responsive and prompt about coming back to fix it. I would definitely use them again.

I have used ADC Floors now for my second bamboo flooring install in my condo. I have to say that Daniel and his crew use the utmost of care for my furniture and belongings during the install. Daniel is very professional and I can always rely on him to respond to my frequent emails. He touches base with updates and/or issues very timely. I could not recommend a better flooring service.

Daniel and his staff were prompt, professional, and did a great job overall. They managed to squeeze us in to accommodate our tight schedule, and the floors turned out beautiful. it should also be noted that his crew on the day were polite, efficient and ridiculously clean. All in all, highly recommended.

I had ADC sand and stain my wooded floors and they did an amazing job! I thought I was going to have to replace my old floors because they were so badly damaged but now they look like new. Daniel is very professional and easy to work with. Thank you ADC!

I just bought a place and wanted to get my floors refinished. I checked for a couple of business online and called every number to get an estimate. When I called Daniel at ADC I immediately felt good about Danny. He was very professional and could answer every question I had. I felt that he understands my needs and my senses of style and quality. I felt good about the price and the timing and went with his team. The materials and equipment the team works with is high end. People told me about the dust and dirt when floors get sanded. But when all floors where done the entire place was dust free. Today I saw the finished floors for the fist time. The look and the finish goes beyond what I expected. I highly recommend working with Danny and his team and I will tell all my friends that he's the man to work with.

We had used another company to install wood floors in our condo based on a well known List. They did a good job installing but there clean up was inadequate. We wanted to put down more wood but decided not to use the company we originally used. A friend recommended adc and Danny. They did a better than great job. They were very careful in covering everything. The installation was fabulous and the clean up excellent. Oh, and the price was very fair. Danny really new his products and helped point out what he thought would look right and he was correct.

LIke other Yelpers, I highly recommend Daniel and ADC floors. We had his team in this spring to sand and stain our floors in a new condo in Lincoln Square. Daniel showed us several samples and custom mixed a color to our satisfaction (above and beyond the usual 3 sample colors most others do). He answered our questions patiently, and also provided us step by step directions as to what would be done when, how much it would cost and why, and demonstrated utmost professionalism and knowledge. His crew was there on time every day, usually before 8, and complete the job on time (and cleaned!). His price was also very competitive. Daniel is just such a really nice guy, and would highly recommend him for any job - big or small.

I want to start by saying that this was the best overall experience I have ever had with a construction type company. I had never had hardwood floors installed before ,so I did my homework. The first place I checked was my helpful YELP account. Friends had suggestions of companies they had used, but it was only for refinishing not complete installation. ADC had great reviews so they were one of three companies I called. I met with Daniel, who impressed me with his knowledge two minutes into my door. He arrived on time and upon entering I showed him the floors which I wanted to match and he was able to tell the type of wood , stain and finish immediately. The price beat my other estimates by a narrow margin so that was a plus. The main reason I would highly recommend this company is the work was performed on the day promised, finish on the day promised and everything plus more was completed to my wildest expectations. The floors are gorgeous and as seamless as a bowling alley . The stairs appear like the were cut from one large chunk of Oak, they are that beautiful. After finishing the carpenter Pablo vac um and dusted the work area very well. I would use this company for any of my flooring needs without hesitation.
