Adamstown Inn
1 review for Adamstown Inn
I gotta say, I really have no idea if I stayed in the actual Adamstown Inn or just one of their offshoots. Regardless, they're all owned by the same person and located really close together on Main Street in Adamstown. My family and I rented the big house, which I believe is the Adamstown Inn (5 bedrooms, 3 floors) and the smaller green house (Dragonfly cottage).Color me impressed! I loved that they were each house was decorated with cute and funky antiques that seemed to feel right given the setting (large house vs. small cottage). And the landscaping of each yard was nothing short of phenomenal! The owners seemed nice (though my cousin dealt with them a lot more than I did) and there is a good little local bar just around the corner from the houses, what more could you ask for? If you're visiting in the summer, be sure to ask about passes to the Adamstown pool. We were given 10 free passes as part of our stay, but we had to ask for them. If you're visiting for a family reunion, like I was, get the big house--it's perfect for large parties. For a quite, romantic getaway (in Amish country, which, let's face it, seems a little odd) or an antiquing adventure (Adamstown is known for it's antiques and hats) choose one of the smaller cottages (dragonfly, firefly). My only complaint is that the kitchen wasn't outfitted very well. But in my experience, that's sorta par for the course when renting cabins/houses/cottages. There are lots of bats in the backyard at dusk and though they seemed to want to dive bomb us as we sat on the patio, they were harmless.
