This place ROCKS!!! I had a blast here and the show was super funny. The actors stayed in character the entire show and did a great job.
The food was also OK- I would give it 5 stars if the way the food was served would be different. Right now, they have each table go and serve yourself. Its similar to a school lunch rotation. I would recommend the catering company making individual plates already made and picking them up as you walk-in. -

UPDATE: Just finished the Race for the Cure, which runs right past the Adams Mystery Playhouse, and guess who was outside cheering us on? Every character from the place, in costume. This place definitely deserves a visit.

This place is SO odd.
As soon as we parked, the owner was outside, making jokes about how our cars… Read more »

Service was fantastic. Although the tickets I purchased were no longer good because a private party was booked on the day I was intending to go, the owner himself called me and helped me reschedule. He then upgraded me to front row seats. Even though parking there was limited, he stood outside in the cold/wind and directed us towards an opening parking spot. He also checked on everyone's cars a few times during the show.
The show itself was hilarious. The actors were very good with improving and the script was well laid out.
Food was great, though nothing particularly outstanding.
A fun experience. I recommend it for anyone 18 and older. -

This isn't just a restaurant. This is a fantastic evening! I would not recommend you go here for a first date with someone you don't know well, but for having fun with friends, it's a blast! It's inexpensive in comparison, the food is catered by the Bella Basil and is wonderful, if simple.
Tip: go with a group if possible. The tables seat 10. Going with a group smaller just means you get to meet some new people! -

Okay so I'm slightly biased as I was retained by these folks to read tarot for them for 4 evenings 2 months ago, however, I did purchase tickets for 2 friends (was there that evening in the room too) and the owners did not ask me to do this review.
This is a family owned business, and they really do go out of their way to make it a fun and entertaining evening and the food is absolutely delicious. They have a variety of plays, and they do a very good job of involving just about every guest in the room during the performance, and have giveaway prizes.
If you like the idea of a fun, different, entertaining night out, this is definitely worth the money and my friends confirmed they very much enjoyed themselves (and they can be hard to please!)
Marne and Carlos are the owners. I think it is wonderful that they have taken their passion fo entertainment and fun and made it a viable income for their family and friends for over a decade. And their whole family is involved in the business ops. It is so refreshing to see kindred spirits doing okay and offering great value to people instead of slaving away for yet another clueless corporation.
Please tell them Scott (Mister E the Tarot Reader) said hello when you visit :)
Finally -Please disregard Cass's review. She doesn't understand that the entertainment and interaction logistics in the room preclude personal wait service (the room is darkened for effect and waiters can't compete with the actors as far as sound - would ruin the whole show.) The production would be 4 hours long instead of 2 1/2 hours if they did that, and the prices would triple. Another one of these that can complain out of context without adding value. -

hmmm. scathing review... scathing review... how do i start?
should i start with the terrible food? the SHAMELESS self-promotion? the arctic frigid blasting air 1 foot from my legs? the fact that the owner came over to tell us that the vent was cold and we should have brought a jacket? (he completely volunteered this lovely sentiment. we hadn't even complained.)
ooh, no maybe i should start with the conga line? but several of us at the table agreed that we weren't drunk enough for that nonsense. and that was a challenge because the $6 drinks seemed to have no alcohol.
well, i don't really know where to start, but i know where to end. not at the adams mystery playhouse. not ever.
omg wait! and then they left a freaking MASSIVE tip envelope at our table! i get tips, i get it. we always tip well. but this was different. it was really inappropriate. in addition, we had no table service and i may have mentioned that we were in no way taken care of. we'd already dropped a woeful $100 on the evening for complete crap and they had the audacity to ask for tips? LOL.
it's $43 each for bottom-of-the-line food and entertainment in a venue that is just insulting for the price. the end. -

We had a blast!! The actors stayed in character throughout the night, and were hilarious! They really get the audience involved without putting anyone on the spot (participation is optional, and you will definitely find yourself chiming in!) The only thing I would not give 5 stars is the food... it's a buffet style, but limited choice (chicken, rice, salad, fruit.. and that's what ya get.) You don't go for the food, and it was good, so not enough to bring the review down. I would definitely recommend and visit again!!

Their coffin bar is pretty nifty. The food wasn't spectacular. We had to get our own... WTF? We served ourselves okay food buffet style. I don't know if this was because they wanted to give us a chance to further mingle with the actors or what but I was pretty unhappy. The show was alright. Definitely go with a group, it's more fun to make fun of the cheesiness of it all. We stayed for the 'séance' afterwards... while entertaining, don't get your hopes up it's just another act. Next time I go, I'll have a flask... perhaps then I won't care about the killing they are making.

Two Thumbs UP! A-ok is my vote, definitely worth checking this place out at least once if you live in the downtown area. I wouldn't however drive any substantial distance to get here and see this show. Some tips on what to be prepared for. You will come in check in your coat, be given some clues around the place to fill out a "mini test" then be herded like cattle into the dinning room to begin taking your seats. Of course on the way to the dinning room is a mini bar, solid drinks, cool bartender. After you take your seats your host and the owner introduce themselves and crack a few funnies. Next you're herded again to the buffet bar, food is crap. Then you're forced to stand up and dance around in a conga line type situation around the dinning hall and be prepared to be in the show if you are sitting in the front. I blew outta this place early and didn't stay for the rest of the show. They lost me with my ADD after dinner when they were dragging out the Melodrama on who killed "Buckhorn Bob" or whatever I was more interested in getting my drink on at Lola's at this point.
ps don't take a first date here; it's not a very intimate setting. -

This is a fun restaurant! I would recommend to take anyone from out of town relatives to hosting a office party here.
