    I stage managed for four years here, and watched the Adams Memorial Opera House go through so many renovations in the process. This place haunts me; it has that authentic feel where one is afraid to utter the "M" word if only to respect the generations of actors who've tread there before you. The dressing/green rooms are spacious and re-done with hardwood floors, plenty of mirror space for a cast of 20-ish, and a whole back hallway with bathrooms that's shared with an art gallery. The backstage is small (as it always is), but they've re-done the stage manager's space, installed a beautiful new green velvet curtain and made the balcony usable again. A new soundboard, good headphones, a supportive theatre staff that loves this place and a passionate community makes putting on a production here a dream. A beautiful historic house that's been beautifully restored, and an honor to perform here.
