I've been here many a time. The first time I went it was simply because of its proximity to Music Row. Although, I'm always shocked by how nice this place is on the inside for being in an office building that looks a little shady from the outside. I always call ahead too, since when I go after business hours the doors are locked.

As for the massages, I've never really been impressed by the masseuse. I've used to go here four times a year, and no matter who did my massage I got the same thing from each. By same-thing I mean they gave me the exact same massages, same order, same intensity, every time. I switched up and tried a hot stone massage, which I hated.

What really pushed this place up to that fourth star was the service. You walk, are lead to a changing room with lockers for your stuff, you adorn a robe and then head to a waiting room, that seems very hidden. Then you get your choice of beverage (I opt for a mimosa) and they finish with a yummy cookie.

I went here yesterday and had an hour long deep tissue massage.  The massage itself was great and the masseuse was very nice and professional.  The glass of wine and dessert at the end were nice touches.  I was however, turned off by the location of the spa inside an office building.  There were no signs from the outside from what I could tell and I wasn't sure if I was at the right place until I went in the building and found the listing for the tenants.  It just didn't have that spa feel that adds to the experience for me and I felt rushed towards the end to get out of there. I also found the robes to be too warming; I was sweating the entire time I was there.  All in all, 3 stars because of the atmosphere although the massage was great which is the most important part.

Sometimes treating yourself to a massage can be a great remedy for a stressful week, at least it is for me.  Voted best massage in Nashville, Adagio definitely lives up to its reputation (I know it was voted best massage because the lobby has so many awards and accolades everywhere and they sure do show it off).

The Music Row Location is pretty nice.  They do a great job of setting a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere with the combination of low lighting and mellow colored walls.  I had a really great Swedish massage for an hour.  The rate was seventy dollars per hour, which is not too bad compared to most places like the Loews hotel.  I did not have an appointment, but I reccomend that you make one because Adagio is pretty popular
