I read about this place on my second favorite website, engadget, and they've offer a really cool service.  For a decent price, you can get virtually any gadget (laptops, cellphones, iPods, ect.) laser etched with any design in either Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator.  Phillip Torrone, an editor at MAKE magazine, etched my girlfriend's iPod (if you check out their site, it's the iPod etched with Pearl from Finding Nemo on the back).  It took about 20 minutes to get the whole thing done from positioning the image correctly to actually getting it done on the laser etcher.  Just being there in the studio and watching how it's done was an experience in itself.  Definitely recommended if you want to do something a little unique for somebody special.  Check out the website and email them if you want to make an appointment.
