Oh Acupuncture Northwest, what would I do without you? I first started seeing Sarah for sciatic pain and was immediately impressed by her compassion towards my unease for taking oodles of drugs. Within three sessions I was walking with no pain and completely free of pain relievers. Being a bit of a skeptic, my doubts were relieved by the physical reaction I could actually feel when Sarah released the muscles in my hip and back. This is real medicine and it is powerful.
A little over a year ago after many, many doctor visits and countless labs, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I went from someone who rarely ever saw the doctor to a Kaiser regular overnight. After being prescribed a ridiculous amount of drugs, some with horrifying side effects, and seeing only a small improvement in my health, I knew I had to seek alternative treatment. Calling Sarah again was the absolute best thing I could have done!
Over the last year I have gone from not being able to make a fist or walk without a wobble, to kickboxing workouts and hiking. With Sarah's help I have taken back my life and knocked down my long list of medications to only one. Sarah is a bit of a witch doctor, meaning her intuition is off the charts. She has helped me manage my RA in a way that I never knew was possible and I absolutely recommend her for anyone struggling with RA or other chronic pain.
The office is very clean and comforting and I appreciate the recent US Weekly always to be found. I may be into silencing my mind but I still want my gossip as well. Ha.
Bottom line: Give it a try. You're only cheating yourself if you don't. -

I love Acupuncture Northwest! I have seen Sarah for about 6 months and couldn't recommend anyone more. I had never been to an acupuncturist before, had no idea what to expect, but was intrigued and willing to try it out after I'd heard rave reviews about Sarah.
Initially, I had expected it to be much like a doctor appointment - straight forward, sterile, in & out. But, what I received was not only highly competent medical attention but an extremely supportive, understanding, and compassionate environment as well. I have complete confidence in Sarah's abilities as a practitioner and an extreme sense of calm in her presence.
She has helped me immensely and I truly look forward to every appointment. -

I do not review very often, but felt that Acupuncture Northwest deserved my time. They provide the highest quality care and I felt the need to share. I originally called to make a appointment after being asking a number of different people about who they went to for acupuncture.
Sarah's name was brought up on different occasions by several different people (none of which knew each other). I sought out her services because I had been diagnosed with a bone spur in one of my vertebrae and it was causing me a tremendous amount of pain. The doctors had been recommending surgery, but everyone I spoke to who had the surgery talked me out of it. She took compassion on me and squeezed me in even though she really did not have any openings at the time. She helped (and continues) to help me not only with that but a host of other issues.
She is technically proficient and well as being extremely intuitive and caring. I literally cannot imagine my life without her. I know this sounds like a greeting card......
You will be very well taken care of and she can handle a number of different issues from both physical to mental (see stress). Do yourself a favor and go see her or Stephanie. Both are fantastic!!!! -

I have been receiving acupuncture treatments for years for various issues including seasonal allergies, back pain, knee pain, and cold/flu treatments. While I've had great success treating my pain and allergies this way, it wasn't until I switched to Acupuncture Northwest that I realized how affective acupuncture can be at helping me achieve the healthy lifestyle I've always wanted and needed.
First off, Acupuncture NW's office is bright, cheery, and very welcoming. Having seen other practices, I can honestly tell you that the staff here goes the extra mile to make sure their patients are comfortable from the moment they walk in. The receptionist is very nice and extremely helpful. The treatment rooms are clean, quiet, and relaxing. Both Sarah and Stephanie are there to greet you with a smile.
Stephanie has done wonders for me over the course of my treatments. Her technical skill is excellent, and is only surpassed by her intuition and ability for figuring out the true root of the problem. Her philosophy seems to be to listen to what her patients have to say about their health in order to develop a treatment plan for that session, but also to use feedback from previous sessions to adjust the treatment in order to ensure her patients are achieving their health goals. Her ability to treat acute problems while still keeping in mind my long term health goals is a big reason I keep coming back to her.
I feel extremely lucky that I've found Acupuncture Northwest and I will be a patient there from now on. If you have been searching for an acupuncturist or are curious about trying acupuncture, I strongly urge you to try Acupuncture Northwest. You'll be glad you did. -

I can't say enough good things about Acupuncture Northwest. Sarah is truly amazing at what she does and has helped me tremendously. She has taught me so much about my body and is so full of knowledge that I appreciate. I struggled with trying to conceive and am finally pregnant and am able to credit Sarah for helping me get here. She continues to help me during my pregnancy as well as all of my other ailments. I'm not sure where I would be without her weekly treatments. On top of it all, she's kind, gentle and nonjudgmental. The treatment rooms are beautiful and relaxing and will make you forget that you are in a medical setting. I've also seen Stephanie and she is also so wonderful. You can't go wrong with either one.

I decided to try acupuncture as a last resort for my skin condition. I had been to several dermatologists and was told that my only option was to take antibiotics the rest of my life (and I wasn't even getting results). After my first appointment with Sarah I left feeling like there was hope for me. All the specialists I had gone to no one ever told me I had a dairy sensitivity. Sarah helped me recognize that my diet was the issue and I didn't have to continue taking unnecessary medicine. Sarah really listens to you and she treats the whole person. I leave my appointments feeling completely relaxed and I feel better than I have felt in my whole life. I truly do not know what I would do without her, I am so thankful to have found her. Also, Kristine is great at helping with your insurance, she is very knowledgable and friendly. You will not be disappointed if you go for a visit.
