My husband and I loved this play. I'm not sure what the other yelper had an issue with. From what I could see it was a review based on the venue not the play. Don't be fooled. The play was AMAZING. The temple is basic, the stage set up is simple but the acting is AMAZING. When the play ended all the actors lined up to thank us for coming to their show. I was still so motivated from the performance I was teary eyed. From what I could tell everyone else enjoyed it too because it was a standing ovation. The chairs were not pews as previously stated they were cushion seats with ample leg room. The location is right off of Broadway so its convenient to all trains and pre/post dinner/drinks spots. GO!

I came to Actor's Temple to see the play "Black Angels Over Tuskegee".  Actor's Temple is a very small, basic theater that was formerly a temple.   Some of the rows are still pews.  The other rows have folding chairs.  I found the seating uncomfortable during the almost 2.5 hour show.  As the theater is really just a room (small temple space) with rows of pews or chairs lined up behind one another with a stage in front, you can still get a pretty good view even from the last row which is a pew.

    Other information:
The restroom is upstairs and has a couple stalls.
We were able to linger inside the theater afterwards and get autographs/photos of the cast.
