There are many good doctors of optometry out there. However, there is a noticeable difference between those who are good and the rare exception who set the standard in optometric care. In my experience, Dr. Hamilton and Active Eyes offers that difference. Dr. Hamilton provides professional, knowledgeable excellence in optometry combined with outstanding personable, friendly, caring service. I have found Dr. Hamilton to be thorough. She uses her expertise to provide options for the patient to decide what will best meet their needs. The staff is helpful, friendly and great to work with. Behind the scenes, I believe Dr. Hamilton's personal passion to regularly provide the same excellence of care to the poor around the world as she does her patients here says volumes about the character of the practice and who she is as a person. Dr. Hamilton, Dr. Elmont & Dr. Merryman are the optometrists at Pearle Vision in Southwest Mall. They provide very thorough eye exams, much more so than what you would expect in a retail setting. I had been told by a national chain store eye doctor that I needed to wear glasses. They took me into a dark room. They put dilation drops in my eyes and told me I had visions problems. Since my eyes were dilated I felt they were right because my vision was fuzzy and I couldn't focus. After feeling like I was being pressured to purchased glasses I decided to get a second opinion. When I saw Dr. Hamilton at Active Eyes, she confirmed my suspicions that I did not really need glasses at all. I appreciated her honesty. I was grateful that she was not just trying to sell me glasses that I did not need. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an optometrist.

Meet the Business Owner: Lisa H.
Lisa Hamilton, OD graded Magne Cum Lade from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Hamilton performed two cornea specialty externships while in her 4th year of optometry school. In June 1997, she moved to Denver and went to work for a prominent LASIK surgeon (Jon Dishler, MD) in the Denver Tech Center where she performed pre-LASIK consultations and post-LASIK evaluations.
After working for 5 years at The Dishler Laser Institute, Dr. Hamilton decided to go into private practice and decided to partner up with Pearle Vision to make that happen.
In August 2002, Dr. Hamilton began her private practice as the "Independent Doctor of Optometry" located at Pearle Vision SW Plaza Mall in Littleton Colorado. One year later Dr. Hamilton had the opportunity to expand her practice to include Pearle Vision in Boulder & Centennial, Colorado
