Review from Em C.

Upfront (and I've written this in another review of a massage place): I'm not one for new-agey healing or seeing a slew of specialists for the long haul.
That said, I will now consider Rich @ Action Sports Medicine an ongoing resource for as long as I'm physically active.
I'm 30 and an active cyclist, now that XC running and soccer are no longer possible (two ACL reconstructions in the last ten years have caught up with me).
I began biking a few years ago and last year I increased my road mileage by a ton after joining a cycling club (Mission Cycling), but, frustratingly, started to encounter some serious knee pain along the way. I first got a bike fit check, because obviously that's a big first step in pain investigation. (BTW, I highly recommend the folks at Bespoke). After I was confident it wasn't the bike, I became deflated. How could this new sport I was starting to love and get good at start to hurt?
Ari at Bespoke recommended Rich and I've never looked back.
From investigating the problem to identifying the problem accurately and taking immediate action, Rich has literally changed my fate as a serious cyclist and, as I look ahead 10-20 years, someone who just 'wants to stay active' regardless of what activity I take up in the future.
Will spare you on the details, but it came down to my alignment, and identifying severe tightness in my IT band (stemming from overuse due to very minute flexibility/strength imbalances between my leg) that had caused all sorts of hip and back-alignment problems...problems that my body had grown accustomed to over the past 10 years and which now needed to be "undone"...problems I'd never have figured out on my own, or even with a surgeon (who likely would've pinpointed the pain spot and dug in with a knife. That's how it used to be in my life.)
So, I highly recommend Rich -- whether you're rehabilitating from a specific surgery to experiencing ongoing pain that's affecting your day-to-day. Believe me, I lived with aches and pains throughout decades of athletics, including D1 XC. I was stubborn to see someone until it finally became a show-stopper. I shouldn't have waited that long.
You shouldn't either.
PROS:
-Amazing, amazing, amazing.
-Expert physical therapist who blends scientific/medical/anatomical expertise with your personal situation, taking your activity of choice into consideration, and is motivated to see you heal.
-For me, the fact that he's also a cyclist
CONS:
-None.

Rich is the man!
I just had surgery two weeks ago and everything is going great. My doctor did not send me to PT but I wanted to go on my own to ensure 110% recovery. My trainer, Ashley Selman set me up with Rich.
Rich knows his stuff and wants to see you get better. You feel it and know it from your interaction. Hi drive to see you feel better is motivating and while going through the discomfort of rehab, that's what you need!!! -

Richard pretty much saved my sanity.
I spent 22 months with a debilitating knee injury, seeing multiple specialists, physical therapists, and massage therapists. Each gave me a different reason for my pain, and each gave me a painful and dull series of exercises to complete. Regardless of how much I did them I never saw an improvement.
22 months into being miserable, unable to play soccer or hike or bike, I found Richard. Two minutes into the appointment he worked out what was truly wrong with me. Five minutes in he'd fixed the issue. Pain gone. Problem practically solved. Joy joy joy happiness, life back on track, the man's a magician, hoorah hoorah for Richard Soriano.
Richard is friendly, enthusiastic, calm, and willing to answer every question you have. He followed up with me between appointments to check if I was okay and if I had any worries. He never rushed me, seemed to genuinely care about my well-being, and generally made me feel as though my troubles were over and that I'd soon be back to normal (which I was).
Consider this a 6-star A++ two-thumbs-up Would Buy Again review. -

Richard Soriano is truly one of the best in his field! Rich is not only invested in seeing you relieved of pain but in functioning better than you did prior to working with him.
Rich's background in varied sports gives him a great understanding of athletes and their injuries as well as the common over-use injuries the general public.
He is a therapist that wants to get you moving again and he'll do so in the shortest amount of time possible. Rich will truly educate you about your body so you won't re-injur yourself.
Action Sports Medicine is the first place to go if you need fixin! -

Rich is brilliant! After sustaining a serious injury requiring months of physical therapy which was largely completed at one of the Physiotherapy Associates physical therapy mills, I finally came across Rich through my training at DIAKADI Body. Rich was able to help me far more than the previous therapist and with far fewer sessions. He showed me exercises to do at home and worked with my trainer on exercises to do at the gym. He informed me about all aspects of the process rather than just going through the motions of massage, ultrasound, exercise, and out the door. He was extremely knowledgeable and competent and is motivated to get you back to doing the activities you love to do - rather than spending time in physical therapy.

Richard is great! I started see Richard after a car accident where i hurt my neck! he has been amazing in treating my neck and guiding me with the best exercises for recovery. What I like about Richard is that he always takes his time with you and there is no rushing involved. He does really deep tissue work and adjusting. He is wicked smart and knows his stuff and will explain exacting what is going on with you, and is excellent in identifying what is going on. I have recommended him to many people and will continue too!

My surgeon recommended seeing Rich for a second PT opinion and I am very glad that I did. I'd been through 3 months of post-surgery PT at another place and was very frustrated with the lack of improvement. After switching to Rich, I'm back training and much improved. Very happy that I got that second opinion!

I found this place through a friend. Richard (the PT) really knows his stuff. I would recommend it to anyone who's been hurt and wants to get back to doing their favorite sport.
