Jennifer is great coach and teacher. She is very successful at identifying areas where a specific actor/student is struggling and she has very useful advice, techniques, and approaches to bring stronger and more truthful work out of the peformance.
She allows equal and fair time to all students in the class, she is able to adjust her approach to the particular level, skills, and areas for improvement for each student. She also is very helpful in assisting students in obtaining strong audition monologues. She was able to add a lot of value for me and get me ready to begin auditioning and securing work. -

I have been acting professionally for 11 years. I believe that you can never stop training. Jen is an amazing teacher. She is able to train varied levels of actors together because she knows how to clearly communicate. She also will call people on their bad habits and will not just let a scene play out when it is going south. She stops the actors, gives constructive notes, and then let's the actors have at it again.
She is clear, supportive, and most importantly, she understands that there needs to be trust in the classroom for performances to rock! -

My daughter has been taking acting with Jennifer for a few years now. Jennifer has taken a personal interest in my daughter and it shows with her new poise and confidence. My daughter loves her classes. She looks forward to her time with Jennifer. I highly recommend Jennifer Welch to anyone who is interested in acting, young and ....! Her personal commitment to her students is great.
Meet the Business Owner: Jennifer W.
Jennifer Welch has been a theater artist since the age of twelve. During that time, she has acted, directed, lighted and costumed more than a hundred plays. She is a company member at the Actors Theatre of San Francisco, a founding member of the Howells Transmitter Arts Collaborative and a contributor to Dramalist.com. Trained at the University of Kansas, the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) and the Jean Shelton Actors Lab, Jennifer conveys a thorough understanding of method acting to her students. 2011 workshops will focus on the use of active choices, role imagination and developing a personal emotional connection to the script.
