It just happened to be that I was looking for a Vera Bradley store around me because I wanted to find a cute carry on for my vacation. I also wanted to find a retired Vera Bradley bag because I noticed online that they were actually cheaper than the newer ones. One place I called would only offer me a retired bag at 25% off the original price, which made no sense to me. Not to mention that store wasn't very helpful.
Nonetheless, I called Across the Street and the person who answered the phone was lovely. She was kind, respectful, and really understanding of what I was looking for. She put me on hold for a minute and went in the back to see if they had any retired bags in the style I was looking for. When she got back on the phone she was actually able to find the bag I wanted and placed it on hold for me. IT WAS SO NICE of her! The effort she made was truly appreciated!
While on the phone the lady was able to direct me to the exact corner of which it was located. She also told me what I would see around it which gave me a mental image as to where it would be. The directions were actually really helpful and made it really easy to find!
When I got there I was amazed at how amazing the place looked! It's in a vintage style building the interior is SO WELCOMING! It's really a comfortable setting and the prices on the items were so reasonable. I saw rings that would easily cost you a bundle in a large store for less. Not to mention the rings were really fashionable. I absolutely loved the way the items were placed around the store. The place was very organized and the Vera Bradley's were so easy to find.
The ladies brought the bag that they had found and it was REALLY NICE! I wanted to see what other retired bags they had and the ladies actually let me go in the back and check. As it turns out I found a really SUPER cute messenger bag that was exactly my style and what I was looking for. The best part was it was half off the original price! We're talking about a bag that's original price was $82 and I got it for $41. That was even less than what I could find it for online.
So I say if your looking for unique things at a GREAT PRICE, this is the place for you! -

Across the Street was a wonderful florist to work with! The were very creative and had many ideas for flowers and knew what was in and out of season. They were also very flexible when I would make changes. My Wedding Day was beautiful because of the gorgeous flowers! They went to the church and set up flowers and made sure every person in the wedding party had their flowers and then went to the reception hall and did a beautiful job setting up! I was thrilled with how my flowers turned out I could not have been happier!
I have also bought many gifts there and they are always pleasant and have cute bags they wrap gifts in! -

I have been lucky enough to work with Suzanne and Marilyn for many years on all sorts of projects. I was part of a group that hosted a Candlelight Dinner last evening, and the room was aglow with the beautiful centerpieced that they created! THey transformed a ballroom in Park RIdge, into a beautiful Paris themed Holiday wonderland!
Everything they touch is magical!
