Good service and location. Expensive but with very healthy portions. Romantic atmosphere. Girlfriend and I have been visiting on Valentine's Day the last 4 years, never disappointed.

    YUCK.

I agree - the first clue should be that NO ONE is here.  The restaurant will be EMPTY, pretty much all the time.  The bread will come out stale and hard as a rock, and out of the several chances that I've given this place, I was never served any fresh food.

    Totally disappointing.

The first clue that something wasn't quite right was the fact that there were no other customers in the restaurant. Literally none - we were the only ones there on a Friday night, at 6pm, on heavily trafficked Grand Avenue. When the waiter arrived, I noticed that his shirt was filthy - spotted and stained on the front and, as he walked away, I noticed yellowing of the shirt at the armpits.

He brought us bread, which was stale. Our soup arrived - the egg & lemon soup which I've had at other establishments and was quite looking forward to. It was awful. Then came the salad, which was simple - a bit of iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato, a bit of shallots (I think), two or three flecks of feta cheese, and a delicious dill dressing.

Then the main course. I ordered the spanakopita. How did they do that to phyllo dough?? It was greasy and rubbery, not light and flaky like I anticipated. My partner ordered the Greek sampler plate, and it was disgusting.

Pro: The salad gets 3/5 stars, the ambiance and staff get a solid 5.
    Cons: Everything else.

My favorites that I get every time are their signature soup lemon chicken and rice. Distinct lemon, love it. A side or greek salad, the homemade dressing stands out as well. Good standard Greek dishes as well. Beautiful white linen tablecloths are an old standard. Very romantic lighting, which is something I normally couldn't care less about. But is noticeable and cozy. They have reopened. They were closed awhile due to illness in the family. They have beautiful family photos as you enter. I'm glad it's up and running again.

This place is as good as it gets! Real Greek food cooked by a real Greek chef. Service was perfect and the food is out of this world good!
