Andreas has quickly become one of my favorite yoga teachers in Seattle. I've attended his classes at 8 Limbs and at the Island Yoga Center on Bainbridge Island.

Andreas has a strong understanding of the human body, and he has a great way of bringing yoga philosophy down to earth.  I find his instruction to be precise and helpful in making sure I find safe alignment in my yoga poses. That, and his adjustments. A prime example is a recent adjustment he did for me in half moon that helped me find a new experience of the pose, taking it from a significant effort to an easy radiance.

He has a gentle joyfulness about him that I feel in the room and that I appreciate bringing into my practice.  I think his "special sauce" is summed up best in his own words:

"I can help you get back to a place where exercise and movement are a joy -- not a chore. When we find a simultaneous sense of play and challenge, it changes our practice from something we have to do into something that we love to do."

I haven't yet hired Andreas for private lessons, but I frequently attend his group yoga classes at 8 Limbs, and I enjoy him very much as a teacher.

Andreas has a calm, grounded presence that immediately puts me at ease.  He seems to operate from a place of open-heartedness that makes him immediately likable.

Andreas is good about getting around the class to offer adjustments and individual attention, and does so without making me feel self-conscious.  He is also great at describing the details of what a pose should feel like and how to get there, and has the patience to help even the newest of beginners to find their best version of the poses.

Just looking at Andreas gives plenty of motivation to do yoga:  this man is fit and fine!  And although it's not why I'm there, a little eye candy never hurts.  ;-)

I recently hired Andreas at AcroCore to be my personal trainer, and the experience has been excellent - he understands my goals and is as determined as I am to see them come to fruition through core strength and aerobic exercise, as well as yoga techniques and mental discipline. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone who's seeking to "level up", whether they're a beginner or an advanced participant.  Andreas himself is in amazing shape, and seeing what he's accomplished for himself is half the pleasure - he's also super nice and professional and will push you just enough to be both healthy and productive.

Specialties

AcroCore is the personal training and yoga business of Andreas Fetz, an NSCA certified trainer and yoga teacher. I work to create a healthy balance in the body -- incorporating strength, flexibility, sound nutrition, and a focus on developing a solid center from which to build your exercise and health program.

I teach privates (both personal training and yoga), as well as group yoga classes at 8 Limbs, YogaLife, Yoga on Beacon, and a few others.

By combining the playfulness of acrobatics and the intention of yoga with the science and strength of personal training, I can help you get back to a place where exercise and movement are a joy -- not a chore. When we find a simultaneous sense of play and challenge, it changes our practice from something we have to do ... into something that we love to do.

Meet the Business Owner: Andreas F.

I love movement, and I want to share the joy and physical benefits that I find through exercise and yoga with you.

Having been in some form of athletic training for most of my life, I've always loved the joy and sense of play that can be found through physicality. After seeing a Cirque du Soleil show, I absolutely fell in love with the circus arts and am now completely hooked. For the last several years, I have trained at SANCA in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood, focusing on both aerials (aerial silk and trapeze) and acrobatics (hand balancing and tumbling).

I took my first yoga class in 2001 and over the years it has become a vital part of my life. In 2007 I decided that I wanted to start teaching, and enrolled in the teacher training program at Seattle's 8 Limbs Yoga Studio, which was fantastic.

I also studied for and received my personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2008.
