Review from Nicole M.
Stealing a line from Melanie D: Part retail boutique, part curiosity shop, part antique store.
Acquire is such a great shop to go in and browse, get hostess gifts or something new for your own home. I also dig the random selection of jewels and cufflinks up by the cash register.
Super friendly staff, and products that range in price from affordable to holy crap I wish I could afford that someday.
Kind of reminds me of Hudson in the South End.
Dig it. -

I usually only yelp about food, but I loved this place so much, I had to share.
The staff/owners are always so sincerely friendly and aren't in your face asking you a million questions. They have an good variety of odds and ends....great for gift giving and home accents. Whenever I stop at Neptune's to stuff my face w/ lobster rolls, I always have to pop in to check out what cool new stuff they have....highly recommend. -

North End is never in short supply of great shopping opportunities, but this little gem on Salem St. is not to be missed!
First off the store is absolutely gorgeous, tons of very unique surprising beautiful things. New handmade things, antiques, so many charming things that you end up just absolutely having to have!
The shopkeeper/owner is an absolute doll, super sweet and helpful. I purchased an Ecosphere for my friend there (one of those blown glass balls filed with water, tiny shrimp and plant life that is completely self-sustainable) after shopping all over and not being able to find one anywhere! She helped me pick out the perfect one and gave me some advice on how my friend could properly keep it so it stays healthy.
If you need an unusual and awe inspiring gift for a very very special someone then please visit this store! -

Walking into the North End I came across ACQUIRE... Where, oh where to start... Yummy perfumes, soaps and candles; gorgeous vintage/modern furniture; cozy textiles; stunning table top accessories... How's a girl to choose? I wish I hadn't just bought those stemless glasses from Crate & Barrel - the hand-blown ones at ACQUIRE are way cooler, and I'm sure they'll soon be added to my cupboard. The owner really knows her stuff and can tell you about everything in her store, and she has such a great eye. If you are looking for unique and fun gifts (for someone else or yourself), this is the place to go. I'm hooked!

Brookline Village, MA
Part retail boutique, part curiosity shop, part antique store, artfully and gorgeously arranged (read: lots of open unused space) full of things you've never needed, but decide after spying them that you do. Lots of fun to browse and imagine how some pieces would look in your home after you remodeled it.

Really nice salesperson (or owner, sorry not sure!) and great unique gifts for the home for both women and men. Some unusual antiques as well as new items that you won't see anywhere else in boston.

The owner has exquisite taste. Beautiful, unique things at very reasonable prices. Must check it out (if you can find parking).

As I went strolling down into the North End in search of a tasty cannoli, I came across this new home goods store. The contrast of black and white with a touch of color drew me right in. The store is clean, but not sterile. I was like a kid in a candy shop with the neat knickknacks, plush pillows and aromatic candles. There really is something for everyone. The sophisticated feel of ACQUIRE is not stuffy, yet inviting. I lust to engulf myself in the sweater blankets while sipping a nice malbec out of the stem-less glasses I found there. Definitely worth the visit...
