I love to throw parties and decorate nicely for dinners and at first I thought this was only for small kids. Turns out that was not at all the case. The more I looked the more I found and they ended up helping me plan and decorate my 40th birthday party - huge success. They turned a plain old carriage house into a beautiful, festive dance floor and dessert room.
Now I go there for big and small celebrations - Chinese New year, Xmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine's day, Easter etc. You get far with a new runner or fresh cloth napkins and even my 11 year-olds love and appreciate anything new I get from ACME - which encourages me to come back over and over again. -

I first discovered ACME Party Box Company at Sunset Weekend where they made their debut.
I for one, am a HUGE fan of fabric pennants, and colorful textiles, and so it didn't take much for their booth to catch my eye while walking by. They had the works to delight the indie-eco-loving arts and crafting party planner in me. I signed up right away on their mailing list and followed how their little business would grow. When I read that they were opening up a retail front in Town and Country, I drove over as soon as I could to check it out.
Their store is in the process of moving over to the Mayfield's side, but to the goods! They carry all of their custom party kits for birthdays, showers, parties, etcetera, and once you step in the store, it makes you want to just come up with an occasion to celebrate. You name the occasion, they have a way to decorate it in the most eco-fashionably way possible. Think: Mason jars, colorful paper striped straws, those large balloons that are popular in engagement shoots, baker's twine, cards, wooden cutlery, etcetera.
Lining the "back" wall of the store is a large curtain that serves as space available to rent for parties, and for their hands-on workshops.
Now to come up with a occasion to celebrate so I can decorate ... -

Fabulous, eco-lovely stuff! One of the owners was there the day I stopped in, and she was very helpful and kind, willing to explain any of the unusual products and their origin.
If you're having a party and don't like all the waste a typical party can create, this is the place you should start. Items are not cheap, but they are quality and ecology-minded. -

Beautiful selection of unique gifts and eco friendly party supplies. I bought cloth banners and runners that I love and we we re-use for any events at our house. I also always find unique gifts for friends. The staff is always very helpful and friendly.

The store has very cool and unique items but it was disturbing to see two live birds cooped up in a small cage in the middle of the store. The owners talk about being ethical and responsible - I don't see anything ethical about having two caged birds in the middle of the store. These are live animals, not store decorations.

Though they tried to help and were friendly, this small company was unorganized and as a result could not deliver what I ordered in time for a birthday. A refund was provided but it cost me time and effort. Frustrating.
