I'm pretty much in love with this place. We're only in SLC maybe once or twice a year visiting family, but this is definitely on the agenda from now on...
Food:
Appetizer: We got the black and blue chips. Homemade chips, with bacon and blue cheese crumbles on every last chip. Super rich and tasty!
Main Course: Husband ordered the trio of sliders. Elk, Lamb and Bison i believe. They were all fantastic. I ordered the bison burger and sweet potato fries. Both were epic. I mean, absolutely fantastic.
Drinks: Two words. Polygamy Porter. YUM! get a pitcher, it's more economical since you can't drink just have one pint!
We ordered a ton of food, and it was all delicious.
Service:
We ended up going at an offbeat time, like 3pm or so, and there was no one in this joint. So we had full attention from our servce. Super cool guy.
Overall, it's a gem. Wish we had one here at home. -
Review from Mindy P.
Since arriving in Utah a week ago we realized the ridiculous amount of burger joints in the SL Valley, therefore we are on the search for the best Utah burgers (already tried Smashburger, Five Guys, Cotton Bottom, In N Out, and now Acme).
I liked the atmosphere, open and very clean. There is a great big hammerhead shark hanging from the ceiling....random, but whatevs.
I did notice the high prices, but decided I would be in for a treat with local flavors, so I pushed that aside. I ordered the Kobe burger dressed. I liked it, but it did have way too many fried onion ring thingys on it. It was juicy and moist, but didn't blow me away. My boyfriend ordered the Acme burger. It was good, but not an award winner by any means. Overall, the burgers were good....but didn't match the price. Bye, bye star.
We also order a Wasatch sweet tea. Don't do it! It was like I was sucking the caramel syrup bottle from Starbucks. Bleh! We also tried the bread pudding which was good. The caramel sauce was perfect, but I couldn't eat too much of it, very sweet.
On a positive note, we were told to scream "HAMMERHEAD!" at the server to receive 15% off. It worked. Too bad our bill was messed up in other ways and the 15% off canceled out what we were overcharged. We could have made a stink about it, but it was only a few bucks and our waitress wasn't the most attentive and I just wanted to head home.
Overall...kind of low on my rank of burger joints in the SLC area.Listed in: SLC, SLC Burger Joints

In the quest for the perfect burger, I was led to Acme.
Wanting to go basic for comparison's sake, I settled on the Acme Classic Special... regular burger with choice of cheese, side of fries, and a soft drink for $10. I asked if I could pay a little extra to upgrade the soft drink to the house Sweet Tea, which was 75c more than a soft drink. I also chose to add on mushrooms for an additional 50c. I really liked that I could choose how well the patty was cooked, and wasn't disappointed when it really did come out medium rare. Most places make sure it's fully cooked, but it was still red inside at Acme!
Anyhow, the burger was great! Nice portion of meat and fresh veggies, and the amount of mushroom was fantastic! Very juicy but not greasy or salty. I didn't need to add sauce of any kind, which is the top indicator. The fries were comparable to the burger. Fresh, crispy, and perfectly salted! I'd probably go again just to get an order of fries.
Unfortunately, there were a number of downsides to Acme. My eating companion's Kobe burger was very bland and had no veggies, as well as costing $14 by itself. I also disliked the Sweet Tea. Flavored with caramel and vanilla, I was hoping for a delicious experience. Sadly, I don't think there was any tea in there... it was all sugary flavoring. I'm not a fan of over-sweetened tea, and this takes the cake... or at least had as much sugar as one. Even worse, my companion ordered the bread pudding dessert. It was actually very moist and not mushy, but I had reached sugar overload by this point. The ice cream that came with it was great, but the dish something that should be shared among four. Also, it was $7.
This leads me into the worst part... the pricing. My meal should have been around $11, $14 for my girlfriend, and $7 for dessert. They charged me $3.25 for the tea instead of just adding the difference and added another 50c for the cheese, which should have been included. So much for the special deal. After tax and tip, it came out to over $40 for a couple burgers, a side order of fries, sweet tea, and a dessert. I really liked the burger and fries, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the rest, especially the bill. -

If you're up for an overpriced burger, then make your way to Acme burger. Expect to pay $50-$60 for two people at least.
My husband and I tried this place out a while ago upon the recommendation of a coworker. The atmosphere is very cute. Like a modernized '50's diner.
One thing I noticed was that the burgers, which average around $10 each, are a la carte. So we decided that a burger alone was not enough and that we'd shell out some more cash for the sides.
The husband had the Far East Kobe burger (cooked medium-well) and a side of Mac N' Cheese. The burger came back medium-rare (did you hear us wrong?) and pretty bloody. That's perfect for a steak, but not for ground meat. The Mac N' Cheese came out like most restaurants - bland.
I had the Chipotle Bison Burger and a side of Thick-Cut Fries. The Chipotle sauce was pretty good and my burger was cooked, but I wasn't blown away.
I have to laugh at their menu - they suggest wine pairings for each burger. If high-class burgers are your thing, then this is the place for you. If you're like me and reserve burgers for casual eating with beer, then look elsewhere. This place is certainly not in my "to return soon" list. -

Acme Burger Company serves up some interesting eats that can't be found at every burger joint.
We arrived in the afternoon to an empty restaurant, maybe one customer at the counter. I asked the staff (who were doing a jigsaw puzzle) if they were open and was brought to a table in the back.
There are quite a few things on the menu, and they do need some explaining. No problem though since our waiter (Thomas) came around to answer any questions we had. He was thoroughly descriptive with the food choices.
* House Cut Bac'n & Bleu Chips - They weren't kidding about the crumbled blue cheese on this appetizer. Sometimes you worry that there's only a little sprinkling of cheese, but not in this case. There's definite blue cheese and bacon all over these homemade potato chips. Definitely good and meant for sharing!
* Game-On! Mini Burger Platter "1 Bison, 1 Duck, 1 Elk" - They were out of the duck burger, so we got two of the elk and one of the bison. The elk is a very subtle taste, but the bison burger is what you really want. Lots of flavor and with the roasted poblano mayonnaise, it's that much better. (Be sure to ask for a little more of it on the side!)
* Spicy Bison Chili ($7) - First impression and it looks like ground beef, the kind you put in your homemade tacos. And there's a sprinkling of beans in it, so you know you get more meat than beans in this chili dish. With a dollop of sour cream on top, this is a heavy and hearty dish. Savory and a bit much, maybe a salad would help cut it down.
Our waiter was great with refilling our beverages, but he did forget about an extra spoon and extra sauce until I waved him down. (He got held up by a larger party getting their order in.)
We would have loved to try some of their other dishes - Sweet Potato Fries, Mac' and Cheese, Shoestring Potatoes, and their other burgers (duck, lamb, turkey, Kobe, etc.). But the two of us were stuffed with those three dishes! Again, they were all pretty heavy dishes we chose.
Their drink menu - especially the Winter Coolers (Caramel Apple Martini, Thin Mint Martini, and Candy Cane Martini) and Winter Warmers (Wile-E Wassail and Pierpont Peppermint Patty) definitely piqued our interest!
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience at Acme. The food was good and the service was good. We'd go back!
* Notice the chalkboard wall in the women's restroom. I found the chalk in a dish by the sink, so it begged me to write on the wall!Listed in: Park City & Salt Lake City, UT

I was looking for a good place to have a milk shake when a friend recommended the Acme Burger Company. I was thrilled to find this place as I like to avoid chains at all costs!
I was thrilled when I found out that a lot of the food is organic, or locally grown, and that they make almost everything there from scratch!
I had the Kobe burger and was thrilled by the tastes and flavors that came with it!
The fries were excellent and fresh, and the milk shake brought all the boys to the yard!
Seriously the milk shake was terrific! The person dinning with me had the basic burger and was very surprised by the quality and flavor!
When looking for a quick good quality healthy meal in downtown Salt Lake for a reasonable price, look no further than the Acme Burger Company!Listed in: Top Restaurants

People that know me understand my love of a good burger. I love a burger in just about any way possible. Broiled, fried, grilled, it's all the same to me as long as they deliver in the flavor department.
When I considered eating at Acme Burger Company in downtown Salt Lake City, It seemed as though I had found burger heaven. The menu was interesting, offering a wide variety of original burgers, ranging from the Acme Classic,(also available in Grande and Colossal varieties) to the Far-east Kobe burger(local Kobe beef, raised naturally in Heber, UT), with many different and unusual choices in-between. For those after something different than a burger, Acme also has a variety of soups and salads, all unique and different.
After great consideration, I went with the Chipotle Bison Burger, a half-pound Bison patty with Poblano mayonnaise, pickled peppers, served on a red onion roll. I added Pepperjack cheese to the burger as well(Cheese is extra) and requested a compliment of their Battered Onion Rings and a Coke to to wash it down.
The onion rings were delivered hot in a kind of unsual cone, but they were delicious, even if not freshly made in the restaurant. The burger came shortly afterwards, and while arranged attractively on my plate, was lukewarm on the bun. I was also disappointed that the pickled peppers were different than shown, I got chopped up canned jalapenos instead of the beautiful strips of pickled red peppers shown in their restaurant advertisements out front. I requested a replacement of the burger, and the server was very willing to correct the problem. The burger was brought back promptly and hot, but without the poblano mayonnaise(brought later on the side). I also suspect the replacement of my bison patty with a beef one, but having never experienced the great joy of bison before, I could have been wrong and didn't want to make a scene.
The burger, once replaced, was decent, the accoutrements were good, I enjoyed the flavor of the bun and poblano mayonnaise, but the shredded cabbage I could have done without. The meat was a little on the bland side, cooked nicely but underseasoned to my taste. The side items, mostly fried and served with classic Utah fry sauce, were decent, the Sweet Potato fries were very nice, but the fried Zucchini while reasonably tasty, was not freshly made, and the breading easily fell off.
All in all I was disappointed. The menu seemed delicious at a glance, simple but varied, and the choices exciting. But for the price, (the Bison burger running a steep 16 dollars) it just didn't add up to a great burger experience. At least my Coke was as delicious as expected. -

I love cheeseburgers, and this place is pretty good. I go here almost every time I'm in Salt Lake for lunch. I like the shoe string fries, and the bison burger with jalapenos! I've also had the lamb, and elk--not my favorite. Stick to the classics.
Service is pretty good, staff is friendly and attentive-- but food seems to come out of the kitchen slowly. -

After hearing about Acme's awesomeness for years we finally made it downtown to try it. What we found were decent burgers but not much value.
I ordered the Far East Kobe Burger, dressed. It was good, not unlike something you might get at a Chili's or Applebee's, but definitely not great. It was overcooked to the point where I couldn't distinguish Kobe beef from the markdown meat at the grocery store. Basically just a burger with some fried onions and a peanut sauce.
My wife got a mini burger, which was overcooked and basically the size of a White Castle burger.
We got takeout, so we didn't notice until we got home that they gave us the huge family portion of sweet potato fries. Which were actually very good, despite the majority of them being overcooked.
The end damage was nearly $40, for a meal that we probably could've had at a lot of other places for half that. -

local micro brews also on tap, decent wine list and sangria with flavor! -

I give Acme Burger plenty of credit for their inventiveness with their burgers. Sure, you could stick with the boring old classic burger, but there are just so many other exotic options you could try out here, which I think you owe to yourself to try out. I do think the prices are a bit high for a lunch, but they have some great lunch combos which will lessen the hit on your wallet.
I've had their Kobe burger and their lamb burger and was impressed each time. And while I advise experimenting outside of the classic, I'll admit I had one too and it was excellent as well (nothing wrong with tradition sometimes). I usually splurge too and get an order of the shoestring fries, my favorite kind, and they're well done here.
Service at this place has always been friendly and welcoming, I've got no complaints about it. However, be warned, the burgers are a bit on the large side, so don't get too crazy on sides, come here ready to eat a good burger and you're set. -

This place seemed to emanate the following atmosphere:
-A jazz-listening collegiate art house vibe
-A Leather-clad whips 'n chains gothic vibe
-The feel of a chrome-plated 50's diner
All combined into one. It was intriguing, but a bit bizarre. :) The staff was overly friendly (Was asked by multiple staff whether I was enjoying everything). The burger (although quite big) was very tasty. I did also enjoy the mac 'n cheese. I probably gained about 20lbs. I wish I wasn't in such a hurry to eat, as this could really be a great place to kick back and relax for a while.
Also, good for solo eaters, as there is a bar up front. (Yelp needs to add that as an attribute, as many of us are business travelers who regularly eat alone) -

This place has 5-star hamburgers. I've been there twice, and had their ostrich burger (which must be seasonal) and their "Acme Classic." Absolutely fantastic hamburgers, for amazingly low prices.
This is the anti-Islands, for those of you who have been to the horrendously bad overpriced Southern California chain. In contrast to Islands, Acme's burgers are almost heavenly good - they appear to mix many different spices into their ground beef, giving it a unique, almost chef-like flavor. Their selection is simply thrilling - buffalo, kobe beef, ostrich. Another guy at the table had a "salmon burger" and said it was one of the best fish meals he'd had in ages. Also, I want to point out that places that serve their burgers unassembled (allowing you to put it together how you see fit) are always superior.
Its an interesting vibe in there - hard to describe.
Anyway, Acme burger will always be a destination for me in Salt Lake -

We wondered upon this burger joint while in town for this years SLC marathon.
A pretty unique and "upscale" burger place. Cool modern decor... Wouldn't think of it from the outside. But the menu looked interesting so we decided to check it out. Delicious food and great service. There are a variety of hamburgers with difference cheeses and meats. We tried the lamb burger which was delicious and the shoe string fries were very good also. Milk shakes... mmmmmmm. will def stop by again if ever in town. -
Review from Kiesha R.
The top of the menu read, "Good manners dictate that plates remain on the table until the last diner has finished. However, plates will be removed upon request."
THANK YOU. Finally, a non-Michelin-star restaurant that gets this simple piece of etiquette! There's your bump from 3 to 4 stars, Acme.
So we stayed in Salt Lake City at the Hotel Monaco for one night, and the valets recommended this spot for dinner. It was very satisfying. Whereas I'd expect most joints like this to have nothing but overly giant menu items made for 300-pound dudes, Acme actually offers a variety of portions. I enjoyed my "1/2 cup," which was a cup of clam and leek chowder with bacon, a mini burger, and skinny fries. Yum! Plus, they were able to do a Cherry Coke, which I totally nerd out on and love. Add to that the flat-screen TVs (seemingly in HD) showing the Olympics while we dined, and I'm sold.
Burger aficionados will appreciate the lamb, bison and ahi options. And all will appreciate the reasonable prices. -

This place reminds me of Crazee Burger in San Diego.
Real cool burger ideas (ostrich, lamb, kobe beef, elk, ahi), except way overpriced.
I just cant really justify a burger for $14-$16. I shared the ostrich burger w blue cheese and carmelized pears and the kobe beef burger w korean bbq sauce and onion straws.
ostrich was good, but the blue cheese was stronger than any i have ever had and overpowered almost everything. kobe beef w onion straws was a winner. -

Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Juicy, tasty, not too meaty (if that makes sense?) The original and the breath enhancer are great. Decent beer selection, rotating weekly drink and menu specials. Good service, cute wait staff, and slick interior.
Haven't tried much besides the burger but I can't imagine it being too bad. Worth the few extra bucks over BK or McDonalds -

So I had high hopes, I mean out of the options we had I figured a burger joint really couldn't mess up. Plus the thought of going to P.F. Changs was too much to bear.
I just wanted to go somewhere with outside seating, so we went there. I decided to order the Caeser salad and Elk chopped burger. Both dishes were so so.
I was really excited to try elk for the first time, unfortunately I found the elk to be VERY salty, and I like my food salty- but it was to the point where I had to alternate taking a bite of salad (which wasn't that great either and was smothered in bad parmesan) with each bite of the burger. It would of been fine if the Elk chopped burger wasn't $20 bucks., because I could get a way better burger for $20 (it was 19.90 something) practically anywhere.
The server was great, even though I had to go inside to get our check.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, but I'm sure there are better dishes. -

I find it hard to complain about the prices. There's a special now for a classic with cheese, some fries, and a drink for $10. That's cheaper than most places I've ever been to.
They have Epic beer, too. Yeah, that stuff scares away a lot of tight-wads, but it's worth it. Local, yummy, full strength ...and 22oz.
So, it seems that there's something for everyone. If you're trying to budget, stick to the specials. If you wanna impress that date, get a Bison burger and an Epic beer. -

I had the Bison Burger today and it was pretty good, even better at lunch you can get a special which includes a salad or soup and a drink for $15.00. Not a great deal but considering the Bison burger itself is usually $15.00.
I also got the Sweet Potato fries and those were very good, definitely try those. Fun restaurant, give it a try. -

I really love this place for crunchy shoe string fries and delicious burgers. They would have gotten 5 stars but I have had a rare occasion where someone in our dinner party did not get the most fabulous and juicy burger.
It's a great place if you don't get red meat often and are craving the best version of meat on a bun - that goes for exotic treats like lamb, ostrich, and elk as well as bringing the beef back to burger -
Review from Charles S.
Salt Lake, UT
I really don't like to gripe about prices. I'm somewhat frugal, but I definitely don't consider myself to be a cheapskate. As long as the prices are commensurate with the quality, portion size, ambiance, etc. of the establishment, then I'm okay with paying the going rate.
ACME Burger, in my opinion, is way overpriced and I'm releived to see that I'm not the only Yelper who thinks so. I ordered the "beer special" or maybe she said "special beer" and I just heard special and auto-translated it into "good deal." I'm glad I declined the second beer, because when we got the bill it as $10! For 1- 22 oz. beer! $10?? Ridiculous! If you want anything other than a basic burger, no cheese, then you're going to pay between $11 and $16 with no fries. With tax and tip, our dinner was $60 for mini-burgers, fries, chowder and 1 drink each. Just a little steep, even though the food was, generally, good.
Speaking of the food: First of all, they haveGreat burgers! Although, from reading the other reviews, it appears that they have drastically reduced the number and scope of offerings. I had the 3-mini burger combo, but there was no duck. It consisted of Bison, Lamb and Elk and all 3 were very good (except the elk was definitely over-seasoned and too salty).
My wife got the mini-burger and clam chowder. Mini burger was good, but the chowder was pretty horrendous. If they're going to call it "clam" chowder, shouldn't it have clams in it? Well it didn't. It had a tiny amount of minced clam remains, but even they were nearly undetectable. And the chowder part was way too sweet. It tasted a little bit like whipped cream. Not good. Avoid it at all costs.
Parking is also a joke. There is a private lot, but it costs $4 for two hours and they don't validate. I don't mind paying for valet parking, but adding $4 to the already out-of-bounds prices to park my own car is just adding insult to injury.
The service was very good. Our waitress, who was also doubling as the hostess, was very attentive, polite, friendly and professional. ACME would get 3-4 stars based on the quality of the burgers, fries and service, but their exorbitant prices knock them down to 2 stars for me. This was our second visit and will almost certainly be our last. -
Review from Lena B.
flying 1,000,000,000,000 miles above ground makes me very nervous. i grab anything i can read to calm by nerves down and divert my attention. this being a short trip from l.a., and having a companion to fly together, i didn't bring a book, so i just started to flip through an in-flight magazine and came upon a picture of a burger and fries in a cone shaped paper (very european street vendor like). although it said something about burgers made with bison and lamb (not my cup of tea), i couldn't take my eyes off of the picture, and coincidentally, this restaurant acme was located in salt lake city. the moment we landed and met up with a friend, i suggested that we pay a visit and grab a bite before we head to park city.
the building and decor are very modern and lofty, spruced up with metals and vinyl (not cheesy 70's though) booth and open kitchen concept. their menu wasn't extensive but certainly was exotic. along with the aforementioned meats, they also served burgers made with kobe, truffles, salmon, and of course, the classic good'ol beef. since my visit was induced by that fries, i ordered shoe string fries and sweet potato fries and decided to share a truffle burger with the friend.
our burger was good in a sense that it was true to its name, full of truffle flavors. we ordered mushrooms as an additional topping (all the toppings are extra) which came as sauteed in a cup...weird how they didn't just put them between the buns. i would have enjoyed it more if the meat was cooked more. rare, bloody meat just didn't suit me as much as i'd have liked (the waiter never asked us how we wanted our meat to be).
the fiance's classic burger with guacamole was delicious. this being done on medium side, i liked it so much more than my twice more expensive truffle burger and ended up switching my half with his. i am sure the guacamole has something to do with this. avocados never disappoint me!!!
now the real reason i am writing this review...the fan-friggin'-tastic fries!!! the sweet potato fries were especially awesome, even my friend who eats like a bird couldn't stop getting her hands on them. i've had my share of sweet potato fries, and hands down, this one was the BEST!!!
service was either super friendly (waiter) or just nonchalant (pink haired waitress). when we had our chocolate shake to-go, the waiter was nice enough to bring the left over in another cup. to make this experience fat to fatter (i don't count calories, but i am sure i had a month's worth of grease, sugar and fat), he brought chewy, fresh home-made cookies to accompany the shake. well, these cookies alone were worth a visit to acme and overlook the price tags of exotic burgers. -

went herefor the first time with some friends back in february
during a massive snowstorm! it was great.
the server was supercool
was all over us whenever we needed anything
the only thing that sucked was my friend
told me that during his last visit there, the regular acme burger
i think its called classic was not big enouhg and he was still hungry
afterwards. so i got the jumbo or whatever it is version of it.
boy did i F up.
that burger was a monster and i messed up seeing that they had
some special chili and requested it to be added to it.
i was done. it was soo massive that i couldnt even enjoy it.
but whatever i did eat, it tasted dam good.
the location is great near the middle of downtown salt lake. theres HD Tvs with all the games on.
theres a pretty good beer selection as well. im pretty sure they have their own beers they make. try em
the total meal with a side salad and a few beers was about $35 bucks or so. its great on a nice cold night. -

As I recall from the Road Runner cartoons, I expect things from Acme to happen quickly. That was certainly not the case at the Acme Burger Company.
1st - we were told there was a 45 minute wait for a table. OK, it was Saturday night, and all the other places had the same wait. But, then we watched them clear and set tables and leave them empty for a while before seating anyone. When we asked about it, the host said that the kitchen was backed up, so they weren't seating people until they could do so without making them wait for food. What?!? I'd much rather wait at my table, preferably with a drink, than stand in the crowded doorway looking at empty tables. Strike one.
2nd - when we were finally seated, we waited to place our drink order, waited longer to get our drinks, and waited even longer for our food. In fact, the table next to us, who had been seated and ordered *after* us, got their food before us. When we asked the waiter about it, he said it was because we ordered our burgers more well done than they had. Uh, right... how about those onion rings that we ordered as an *appetizer*?? Strike two.
3rd - while they got one special order exactly right, the other two meals were wrong - one with sides that weren't ordered and missing ones that were, and one burger that was quite undercooked. By that time, we didn't say anything - we no longer had time to listen to their excuses or wait for them to fix the problem. Strike Three, and we're out!
The food was good, but it was nowhere near good enough to put up with the service. -

I loved this place. Great ambience - "trendier" but still quiet and comfortable. Great service. It should be noted that while some items are more expensive, you can still get a basic burger for under $7. I had the Kobe burger, and really enjoyed it. Sweet korean bbq sauce and onion strings on a toasted bun. $13, but quality ingredients - it wasn't "just" a burger. Others had the chicken enchilada soup, which was also excellent. Above average beer selection. Accommodated 7 people comfortably, and didn't add a gratuity to do so.

I went here for lunch one day and was quite impressed. Loved the decor, our server was very friendly and prompt with everything (except the check), my lamb burger and fries totally hit the spot. I dock a star because I feel dirty paying that much for a hamburger, but it was kind of worth it.

I was feeling adventurous, so I tried the ostrich burger. It was a little pricey but good. If I were to go back, I'd probably try the regular burger, which comes in several sizes--mini (think kid's meal or slider), regular and extra large. The fries were delicious, and the wine list was pretty good (especially for SLC). The interior space was pretty slick and hip, and the service was nice.

Really good burgers! The elk burger was awesome & I tried these appetizers that were an eggroll wrapper with burger, cheese & onions that came with dipping sauces. Really tasty, great service fun place. The only thing I didn't like was the duck burger but the quality was good, just not for me. I am excited to go back to salt lake, these are some tasty & creative burgers.

This is kind of a combo of a (modern) 50s style diner but with a wanna be hipster twist. That said, I was pretty happy with it. The mac & cheese was awesome and the bites of H's burger that I had were also quite good. The fries were truly awesome. They have skinny fries that were just great. Granted, if someone has fries, I'll eat them regardless but I really, really enjoyed these. The last few bites were a bit too salty for my taste but all in all, I'd return. Suprisingly decent wine list for Utah as well. All in all, a pleasant suprise.

I wanted to like Acme more than I did. It was above average but still the overly salted salad I had really turned me off. My DW and DS had the little "slider" burger (1 oz patty I think) which was very good, and an order of their very adult 3 (or five?) cheese mac-n-cheese (excellent). I decide to go the healthier route and ordered the duck confit salad the initial flavor was excellent but by about the 5th bite the saltiness of the dressing became very distracting... almost like sea water salty. I was able to finish and still was a good salad... it's just it could have been so much better.

The ambiance is fun.
The food is unique and flavorful.
The service is poor. My last four experiences there included a bad service experience. Twice the meat temperature was wrong--very wrong.
I kept going back because of the ambiance and unique menu but the poor service has probably deterred me for good. -

Saw the reviews on Yelp so decided to come in for a salmon burger...one of the reviews had nothing but good things to say. I was less than impressed.
I had high hopes when I walked up because I could hear some good blues music and the decor was cool enough. Glass of Pinot Noir I had was pretty meh....Sweet potato fries were bland.
I ended up not finishing my meal.....just didn't feel like eating it anymore...the enthusiasm for this place just vanished. Bummer.
I guess its worth a try if you want a burger, but I would honestly avoid the salmon burger...I don't think the salmon was fresh either. I'll give them 3 stars in the off chance that I had an "off experience," and its probably my own fault I didn't get a burger, but I wouldn't come back personally. That's me...
It was a pretty slow night and the staff were just kind of walking around aimlessly which to me always seems sad. There has to be something useful that needs to be done.....maybe I'm just getting old and bitter... -

Totallly love this place. I have to admit, must be the best burger I ever have. I did not think I can really like a burger this much. Their burgers are huge and cooked the way you like it. They actually cook burgers medium rare!!! The juices flow when you bite into them, so becareful with those white shirts.
