I give Achatz Pie a 4.5 because I have to make room for the occasional superior home-made pie right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream as a 5. But for a store bought pie you are going to have look far and wide to find better. Watch the store hours on the weekends as other folks alluded to. Banana cream very good. The product is worth the price.

Impossible to get one of their pies on a Saturday.
Also, went to this location Friday around 6pm and found it closed. The sign on the door says open Friday from 8am till sunset, October thru April -

Delicious pies, but pretty expensive. Expect to pay $15 for a fruit pie, unless you can find them on sale. Because they are so good, I will go again. It will have to be for a special occasion or treat, though.

History
Established in 1993
Wendy and David Achatz began baking pies out of their victorian home located in Armada, Mi and selling at the local flea market. Demand soon grew and now we offer the same fresh baked handmade pies at all 7 of our locations.
