There is something really, really special about this shop. It could be all of the unique, interesting, and stunning flowers, berries and branches that make it so special. It could be the AMAZING service that the owner provides. She clearly loves what she does, and takes pride in her arrangements. It could be both.
I've always been the kind of person that loves to give and receive flowers- but when this shop opened, I began buying a bouquet for myself quite frequently. I love picking out a few pieces, and then having Amy arrange them for me...adding to it her keen eye.
There is something special about this place. You should stop in.....you'll see just what I mean. -

Amy is simply magnificence!!! She is talented, creative, ingenious, lovely, professional and funny. I will never buy flowers from any other shop in Santa Cruz and I am super picky about the level of quality I expect from a good floral piece.

One of the most creative florist that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Amy is fast creative and affordable. Watching her pluck flowers and assembling them into the most beautiful arrangements ever is like magic. Thank goodness Aptos now has a local florist of high quality and affordability.

Although some of our floral services are parallel Aces floral shop is now a big hero in recommended retailers we're going to send clients to. We had a last minute request from a bride who wanted full bloom white hydrangeas one hour before her ceremony began. We had four staff members on the phone feverishly calling all agencies "ON A SATURDAY" trying to fill this request. Aces had them in stock and we fulfilled the almost impossible task. All of our leads now have her phone number on auto dial for future calls. In addition her shop is absolutely charming and beautiful decorated.

Our favorite little shopping center in Aptos now has a great flower store, with a new owner who's a delight to talk with. Parisian style, as one reviewer put it, is a good description. No pretense, no fascination with fussy arrangements in every container known to man. Just great flowers, the unusual as well as the standards, and friendly service. The prices are low enough to make flower-buying a weekly habit, rather than a splurge.

I ordered flowers from Amy at Ace's Flowers for my Mom's birthday. Amy was absolutely wonderful on the phone - she took her time to tell me what she had freshest in the shop, asked many questions about what my Mom likes in her flowers and was a pleasure to speak to. She asked about everything from favorite flower types, fragrance, colors and even the vase to really make sure that the arrangement would be perfect for my Mom. When the flowers arrived (exactly on time as promised) they were amazing, everything I asked for and so much more. Creatively arranged and full of color and big and beautiful. And, a week later, the flowers still look wonderful!
The price was reasonable for regular delivered flowers, but for what we received it was really an amazing value.
So glad to have stumbled upon this place! Thank you Amy for helping make my Mom's birthday special. -

By far the BEST florist I have ever been to. I try to go and see Amy every week to get flowers for my home if I can. She comes up with the most amazing arrangements. She even make tiny vases for my kids room. Love her!

A whole-hearted 5 star recommendation for Ace's Flowers. I called for a condolence arrangement worried about dying flowers lying around in the wake of sadness and the proprietor suggested a living plant and articulated EXACTLY what I was trying to convey to my friend from far away -- love, love, love. Two "breathtaking" (words of my friend) orchids with other plants and gorgeousness were delivered in the early morning. Price was reasonable, owner so kind and helpful, flowers were perfect. Will definitely use again and recommend to all.

Aces Flowers provided bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and ceremony and reception decorations for my October 2010 wedding. If I could give 6 out of 5 stars for the service we received from Amy, I absolutely would!
In our first meeting with Amy, she was friendly, patient and easy to work with. I had a picture of the bouquet I wanted for myself, and from there she helped me to plan all the other floral pieces for the day. She was extremely knowledgeable on the seasonal availability and varieties of flowers that would fit well within "the look" I wanted, and answered all my questions frankly. Her prices were below the estimates I received from two other local floral boutiques and I never once felt like she was trying to pressure me or sell me anything beyond what I was looking for.
Amy delivered above and beyond on everything. My bouquet was identical to the picture I provided, and all the other bridal party flowers were even more beautiful than I had hoped for. It rained on the day of the wedding and our outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside at the last minute. Since most of my floral choices were based upon having the outdoor ceremony location, I was panicked that the ceremony decorations I ordered wouldn't be sufficient for decorating the backup ceremony location. With a few extra materials purchased by my bridesmaids only hours before the wedding, Amy brought extra flowers and decorated the new ceremony location on the fly, coming up with creative ways to accommodate the change of location. It was absolutely beautiful! My wedding day was one of the most stressful days of my life, but the wedding flowers were stress free - Amy took care of it all.
I HIGHLY recommend Aces Flowers. -

Visited this Parisian style shop over the weekend and was amazed at the variety and beauty of the flower options and arrangements. Purchased perfect peonies, exquisite long stemmed parrot tulips, gorgeous sweet peas and the most uniquely colored "kangaroo paws" I've ever seen. Fantastic service, creative arrangements, all in a little jewel-box of a shop. Highest recommendation and I will definitely shop there often. Welcome to Aptos - a much needed addition to the greater Santa Cruz area.

I heard about this amazing florist- Amy , who owns Aces Flowers, so I ordered two bouquets from her for a retirement party I was having for a friend- the conversation at the party was all about the flower arrangements- they were AMAZING- Amy makes the most creative and unique arrangements- beautiful and thoughtful- but then she adds something so pretty- like a few leaves of kale in one... all we spoke about at the party were the amazing flower arrangements. I will only use Ace's flowers from now on- she is affordable and the arrangements are incredible.

Ace's Flowers put together some amazing flowers for our wedding last year. The ceremony was on the beach and everyone had a beautiful handcrafted boutonniere to wear. It was that extra touch that made each guest feel a part of the moment and it also tied it all together in the photos. I highly recommend considering Ace's Flowers for your event. I'm glad we did!
