As far as hardware stores go, this place is old school. Walk in, but be prepared to be smothered in the silence of a library, only this time a library of tools and keydust and mansweat. It is so quiet in here...refreshing from coming off of the auditory hell of Baseline and McClintock.
Ace Hardwares are owner co-ops, in other words, as close to a mom and pop shop as you will get in this day and age. This one in particular is owned by a man named Jim. Jim is a stand up guy. He owns one other store and runs them the old fashioned way: with honesty and loyalty, and without computers.
I have bought a weed whacker, grass seed, a rake, and an air filter from this hardware store, each on separate occasions, and have walked out of there standing a little straighter, a bit taller, each time. Go there for your next light bulb or beer bong. You won't regret it.

Best and most helpful hardware store I have visited. Thank God I live almost across the street!
After many, many home projects and recently rebuilding my kitchen, I have frequented this Ace almost more times than I should. But I am always pleased at how quickly and smoothly my searches at this Ace are.
