I like Ace because it is far less overwhelming to shop in than the big box hardware stores, plus there is always someone there to help you out.
I went to Ace needing some keys made and came out with my new keys and some vintage-themed sodas. Who knew they sold these? Ace always surprises you with that kind of nick-knack stuff and it is great addition to hardware shopping.Listed in: 100 for 2012, the Littleton List

Pros: Great service and knowledgeable staff- bring in the "thing-a-ma-jig" that you need to replace and they will help you find a new "thing-a-ma-jig" and tell you how to install it.
Cons: If it's not on sale, it's probably a little pricey. Or the price will be okay- after a mail in and/or electronic rebate. If it is on sale, it will probably be in limited stock.
