I've been going to this local hardware store for years since living in the neighborhood. They always provide excellent service. They are definitely like a mom and pop shop. Better service and quality then Home Depot!

This is a small hardware store, but they had what I needed for a simple picture hanging project. I appreciated being spared a Meadowview Road Home Depot experience. Ace was very quiet on a weeknight. I didn't ask for any help, but staff was available to ask if I had needed it. I will come back.

Ace is the place with the helpful old guy who knows everything there is to know about rakes. I've gone through two rakes in the past couple of years. Cheaply made Home Depot crap. I was in the Greenhaven area and decided to check out a small Ace Hardware store in the cool Greenhaven shopping center.
Yep. There was an old guy with a red Ace Hardware shirt ready to help me. "May I help you?" He knew a lot about rakes! I bought the metal rake that the old guy recommended. I'm sure he knows nuts and bolts and everything else that has to do with sprucing up the home.

Tough to rate this business any higher than a 'one' when they can't even cut the correct type of key for a standard front door lock, but luckily, they apologized for messing up and cut a new key free of charge. If you allow me to choose the key and I tell you what it's for, it's not my job to determine whether or not it's the appropriate key for the lock.
So yeah, there's your other star. Cheers. -

Amazing neighborhood hardware store! I have never cringed at their prices and they have good sales and coupons. The staff, in addition to being incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, is filled with silver foxes and cute younger guys.
I've purchased a Weber grill, light bulbs, assorted nuts and screws, and random other household stuff there. Ace Hardware Greenhaven is so much nicer to shop at than the nasty orange warehouse. -

I believe in supporting your local neighborhood hardware store over the big chain stores, but I often ask myself why bother. The service is no better, the employees aren't friendly nor are they very helpful unless you seek out an employee and ask. I was standing at the counter hoping to be greeted and acknowledged by any of the three employees including the owner,but no one said anything until I asked for some help and rather than show me where the item was located, the person told me it was over there! The employees need to be more customer service oriented and a thank you after the purchase is complete would be appreciated.

This store feels like a mom and pop shop from back in the day. Honestly, I don't even know why they waste their time with the "Ace" part of the name because it certainly doesn't feel like any sort of chain store.
I've always gotten great, helpful service. No one hovers while you're looking around, but you always feel like if you had a question, they'd immediately help you. My family swears by this place and they come here first before heading over to Home Depot. Good selection of products without being over- or underwhelming and the service rocks. -

One of best thing I love about ACE is it's location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Oh, did I mention they do screen door repairs. A great selection of products and hopefully I never have to deal with Home Depot again.

Knowledgeable and very helpful staff. Don't get me wrong...I shop at Lowe's when I need a lot of stuff, but I like a neighborhood hardware store, with real guys who know about real stuff. Prices are very reasonable. They do a great job of fixing broken window screens.

This is the place to go if you need someone to take the time to explain something like sprinklers and gardening, paint and wallpaper, simple plumbing or electrical tasks, or just about any other household fix-it job. The guys are very patient and knowledgable.

I love my local hardware store. The service is always top notch and helpful. On more than 1 occasion store employees have given me tips on home repairs that saved me a ton of money. There's always someone to help you unlike another corporate giant store.

I love ACE hardware but this is my neighborhood store and the best one I've ever been to. They value their customers and act accordingly. I never go anywhere else unless I can't find it here or order it here. All of the staff are great. And they carry cool stuff. I now have Tiki happiness. Thanks for the Tiki hut and delivery!

I just LOVE Ace!!! They are so helpful!!! After I bought some gardening supplies they noticed that I was with my toddler and offered to help me put the things I bought in my car!!
I've been to the big named stores and never was offered that service. -

This is the store to go for all of your hardware, lawnware and patio equipment. They deliver free of charge so don't be afraid to order patio furniture, umbrellas, barbecue grills or just about anything. They can order just about anything you need and have it to you within days with free delivery and set up. You will not find a more helpful and friendly place to shop or ask questions. I usually buy ACE made products as well as they are durable, well put together and cost less than the brand names. Large private parking lot so never a problem in getting in and out. Sign up for your ACE Hardware card as you do get discount cards in the mail. They also sell ice cream bars from the cooler.

Ace is the best small hardware store around. Sure you don't have 5 of the same widget that might almost work for your application (like at Home Depot), but instead you have 1 widget that is exactly what you need. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are comparable to big box stores. Its also great to see a locally owned franchise flourishing these days.
