Selection is pretty good, though nothing really beats Home Depot in that regard. The staff does greet you when you come in, which is nice, and points you in the right direction. But I found they weren't always as knowledgeable or as friendly as the Ace marketing folks might like you to think.

For example, I asked about a specific size of lightbulbs for a new lamp and was told it really didn't matter, as long as the wattage was right. Took the bulbs home, and sure enough, Ace clerk guy: Size *does* matter, at least when it comes to lightbulbs.
