Wake up Santa Cruz Mid-County residents! If you want to keep the mix of small businesses that exist in Rancho del Mar shopping center -- where Safeway is in Aptos -- then wake up!! Organize. Go to the Planning Commission meetings. Write Safeway. Don't just take it on the chin from Safeway ...
Go to Yahoo Groups and join Santa_Cruz_Mid-County Neighbors
Safeway's expansion at Rancho del Mar in Aptos, CA will wipe out ACE -- a small, handy, excellent, well managed, A+ service hardware store.
And the Safeway expansion will wipe out the movie theater, Le Chef (cooking tools) and the old Vessey then Rite Aid pharmacy. Think destruction of numerous great small independent businesses so that Safeway can bring you what it wants you to have.
Do we as a community that is not a city want more of Safeway or more business like Delux and Shoppers Corner -- family run businesses versus giant entities that impose from outside?

Always well staffed and helpful in all departments. They even offer to load heavy items into your vehicle for you.

Is there any way that I could give this place a 10 star rating? Please?
This business is filled with outstanding humans who go beyond the call of duty!
Right when you walk in the door you are asked if you need help.
These people are problem solvers!
I don't know how anyone could give this place less than a five star.
Period..

This place is a marvel. They have SOOO much stuff crammed in there! They almost always have whet I am looking for--it's just delightful. Plus the employees are plentiful and VERY helpful!
More expensive than Home Depot or Lows, but much faster and worth it as far as I am concerened--from lawn hoses to tubed silicone to paint; I'll go to Ace, first, every time -

Keep your money local.
Great staff, great product selection.. but go to Probuild if you need lumber.
