I have been taking my daughter to Ace for a couple of years now. She loves going to dance classes here. Initially, I signed her up for 2 classes. This year, she begged to take more - so I signed her up for 4 per week. The teachers are very caring and enthusiastic about teaching.

My friend invited us to come for a drop in class for ballet last week. I was skeptical because my daughter was already enrolled at another dance studio in WC. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, not pompous at all. I felt very comfortable and am definitely going to switch my daughter to this academy. It's fun and the children really enjoy it! (I'm not trying to create a "ballerina", I just want her to enjoy dancing!) And I love the free parking lot in the back. This is a plus for downtown Walnut Creek.

We have been at Ace for over 3 years now, since my daughter was 4 and we absolutely love it! Jenny and Meghan (the Directors) are wonderful role models for the children and do a great job instilling confidence in their dancers along with providing appropriate dance technique. In response to one of the poor reviews, I'd have to wholeheartedly disagree. Your fault for not understanding the policies with the monthly credit card charges, as they're clearly stated on their website. We have tried several studios in the area and will be sticking with Ace!

We love Ace!!! My son (5) is on his second year of Hip Hop there and I can't believe how much he has blossomed - they really brought out his love of dance. My daughter (3) started Pre-Ballet last year and she absolutely loves it. She already knows about 5 ballet terms and movements, which I think is great and age-appropriate. I love that this studio is not high pressure - the kids have FUN and they love to dance, which (to me) is more important than having the perfect form and perfect moves at these young ages. They are getting a great foundation to continue on, if they decide that is what they want to do. But for right now, they are just enjoying the classes!! This means a lot to me because when I was little, I hated going to my ballet classes. The teacher was strict and mean. You will not find that at Ace. When given the choice of any classes they want to take, my kids have selected dance. That says a lot!

I don't think this is a good school for dance if you actually want your child to learn how to dance. My daughter is seven years old and in her ballet class there's too many girls and they play games like duck duck goose in class. Sorry but I can play games at home with my daughter I pay so she can learn how to dance. Also they automatically charge your credit card each month, which I was unaware of when I signed her up and did not give them permission to do so. Its also ridiculous that you have to pay for a whole month of dance in November, but then they take a whole week off! I mean I can understand taking one day off for Thanksgiving but the whole week of paying for dance with no lessons is just bad business. If you really want you child to go to a good dance school I'd recommend the Contra Costa Ballet School in Walnut Creek or funkmode hip hop in pleasant hill where the teaching and dance moves are more serious and more original. This is probably an alright school for 3-5 year olds. Hope this post helps!!!

We love Ace Dance Academy! My girls got started there by taking a "Princess Dance Camp" for a week in the summer. They had so much fun, we signed up for another week. We are now enrolled in the pre-ballet class for 3 to 5 year olds. Jenny Hudson is their teacher and she is fantastic! The girls learned more from Miss Jenny in a week than they did in another local dance class. She is patient and kind and very sweet, but is in control of the class. She seems to genuinely love teaching children how to dance. I encourage everyone with a child who loves to dance to check out Ace Dance Academy!
