Accurso's Main Street Deli & Catering
6 reviews for Accurso's Main Street Deli & Catering
It's been a year since my previous review of this place...was there tonight for the first time since their move from their previous location. My boyfriend always chooses it for his birthday dinner.
The food is still amazingly, amazingly fantastic. The atmosphere of the new locale is not what it was, though, sadly, which was also a big part of our love for the place. It's nicely done and lovely, but it looks like any other restaurant, now. No real personality of its own anymore...too bad. Can't complain about the food, though...it's still wondrous.

I can't believe this place only has 5 reviews! This is the BEST Italian restaurant in Kansas City. Hands down.
Nice place, yet not too pretentious. Extensive menu, but not overwhelming. I absolutely love this place. I've been supporting Accurso's since they were at their old location, and I have never in my life been let down. I do hate that they've moved locations, as their old place held decades of charm, family memories, and photos lining the walls. However, their food hasn't lost it's touch. Gosh I can't get enough of their Alfredo sauce! I'm a huge cheese head...I LOVE the cheese. They have the best Alfredo sauce ever! It's so cheesy, I'm at a loss for words...eat there!
This place recently moved and lost some of the charm. The food is still good and healthy sized portions. The wine selection is nice and the service is friendly and attentive.
Really? No review for Accurso's? According to the Accurso's website this place is an institution!
Well, they also had a pretty good review from the Pitch, too.
I've never been here for dinner, where apparently classic Rat Pack tunes waft through the air as the owner makes the rounds and the place is packed. I have, however, taken many a coworker here for lunch where their chicken fingers rock everyone's face off and there's no shortage of people coming by wondering what the smell is.
The only downside to this place is the service can be a little lackluster. I mean, I came in once with a $50 order... act excited, get to know me, something...damn! The waitress with the tats seems nice enough, but I'm a sucker for waitresses with tats. It's a recognized disorder.
Support your local business, and eat up. Tell them some guy on the internet sent you!
I went to check them out today, but were closed. Turns out they're moving. So have heard great things, and can't wait till they open again.

Accurso's is my favorite place for spaghetti in Kansas City, they have the classic red and white table clothes, and their salads are a big as your face, but some how manage to fit in your stomach. The garlic bread is dangerously good, especially if you don't tell them to stop refilling your basket. One thing I recommend other that the spaghetti and meatballs is the antipasto platter; an assortment of olives, meats and cheeses, make sure to bring your appetite or by the time you get to your entrée you won't have any room left!
