We had a very positive experience with Toshi Nakamura at AccessBanc in January this year.  We were having communication difficulties with a local broker and a neighbor recommended we contact her.  What a delightful, competent, professional.  Toshi got us a much better rate, communicated frequently and was always available to answer our questions, whether by email or phone.
Since we had such a positive experience with our refi, we again contacted her as we were preparing to purchase a four-plex.  She worked very hard again for us and put in many hours searching for lenders.  Even tho the bank would not finance the loan at the last minute, she continued to try to find something for us.  Unfortunately the issue was the property type and she had no luck.  She gets an A+ again for all of her efforts.

Greg was my loan officer (co-owner of Accessbanc) for a purchase loan. He promised excellent rates to start, but throughout the process the rates kept on creeping up and fees were inflated (I have the GFE to prove it).

Accessbanc is good if you have a very simple loan and lots of patience and time to followup.
Do NOT go to Accessbanc, if you:
    1) Are pursuing finance for a purchase which is time critical
    2) Have a more than simple loan application
    3) Expect transparent, clear communication on loan status
    4) Call backs to phone queries to pursue more clarification

Given the competition in this market for loans, I would look elsewhere for a loan.

Just closed on my 3rd or 4th refinance with Greg in as many years, and the experience was excellent.  Greg shaved a 1/4 percent off our already low 30 year fixed rate mortgage with no points or fees.  He and his team communicated well and handled the paperwork flawlessly.  He even arranged for a notary to come to my office to sign the docs, so the transaction required very little of my time.  I would definitely recommend Greg and look forward to working with him again in the future.

I contacted AccessBanc about a refinance on Friday evening but didn't expect to get a call till Monday.  To my surprise, I got a call from Greg over the weekend. Over the next week Greg was able to put together a true "no cost" (really nothing out of pocket) loan.  My old loan was at a already low interest loan  and he was still able to cut 1/2 percent..  The total time was less than 45 days.  It was painless and we able to sign the final paperwork at our house. ( How convenient is that!)   If you are ready to reliance and want a truly no-cost loan with a speedy process I would recommend  AccessBanc.
