Accent on Dance is a nice, little shop on Las Tunas in Temple City that sells many things from character shoes to invisible bras.
I have come here on occasion for dancewear, costumes, and assorted accessories. They're a great alternative shop for Halloween costumes if you can't find anything anywhere else. They also have costumes up for rent. Note you have to be 18 or older.
On the five or so times that I have been there, some nice ladies helped me pick out what I was looking for. You definitely will NOT be blown away by their HUGE selection there--the place is quite tiny--but they do have a decent amount of variety seeing that they crammed the place with their merchandise.
Mostly everything is on the pricey side, but still reasonable nonetheless.

-Great selection of tap, ballet, and other dance shoes

-Warm-ups
A great local shop, overall. :)
By the way, if you have a "Ram's Card" (The discount card you can buy from the Temple City school district), you can also recieve 15% off on anything. ;)
Terrible place; Do not go here!
I went to purchase ballet attire for a dance class. The people were completely rude and dismissive when I walked in. There was a SMALL selection (practically none...mostly costume wear stuff) of dance wear, and most is catered toward children. The shoes, leotard, and tights ended up being $100+!!! Ridiculous. The shoes I purchased here ended up being too tight on me (despite being fitted by the salesperson..), and when I checked online the pricing for the clothing I bought was much, much cheaper! This place charges at least for 40% profit.
I found http://discountdance.net after the experience. It's a lot better. You can shop around other places online, but def. do not go here...do not trade in your shoes here either! They rip you off; you can get a better price for your old shoes on ebay!
