I can hardly see through my beautifully long, lush eyelashes to write this review update! That's because I had Nora install (what is the word for this service?!) eyelash extensions on me and the result is an eyelash line so full and long that I could throw away all my mascara and wake up everyday looking like a soap star. Seriously these things are the best beauty invention ever.
I'm a baby about beauty regimes. I mean, they are called regimes so you know it's not gonna be pleasant and I also have eyes that tear up quite easily which means that I was a trifle afraid about getting my eyelashes done. And while the process of getting eyelash extensions is quite long (about an hour for a half set and almost two hours for a full set) I think it was worth it thanks to Nora's gentle touch. She is also more than happy to give you breaks as needed for using the bathroom, standing up and stretching, or getting a drink. All you have to do is ask.
This was my first time for getting eyelash extensions and they are definitely a "splurge" item, but now that they are in I can get fills every 3 weeks or so for a reasonable price and I think they are a guilty pleasure that I will continue indulging in.Listed in: The Golden Triangle, Denver,…, Feeling Beautiful in Denver, Business Owners At Their Best, Doctors, Dentists and Other…, I feel pretty, oh so pretty

Cozy. That would be the word I would use to describe the space where Accent Beauty is located.
Warm. That would be the word I would use describe Nora and her staff.
Skilled. That would be the word I would use to describe my esthetician, Amy. I didn't have to explain much to her about how I wanted my brows after I told her I like them fuller and naturally shaped. She knew what to do and they came out perfect. I didn't need a tint this time, but I feel confident she will do an excellent job when I return. -

Nora is SOO nice and really easy to talk to. She seems really knowledgeable about all things skin care..if she doesn't she'll look it up!
the salon itself is cute, cozy and in a nice locaiton..parking might be kinda tough but I was able to find parking right outside!
I came in for a basic facial and my face felt so much better. my roommate even said my face looked brighter! she also waxed my eyebrows..but with hard wax which was a first for me! the only thing was I didn't realize til after I left that she didn't wax the middle of my eyebrows! I guess I could have called and went back but it was cold and snowy out.
Gave me some samples of salinitas which I guess is made for the altitude? def a great place to get a facial :) -

Nora really is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Ambiance is calm and she has a very Zen personality. Service oriented and really gives you the most bang for your buck. So many clinics are offering facial services. I'd rather go to one that specializes like Accent Beauty. Parking is easy and it's in a nice pedestrian friendly neighborhood.

Accent Beauty is a true 5 star spa! Jen has been doing treatments on my skin for the past 6 months and my skin has never looked so good! She is very skilled, knowledgeable and has a great touch! I highly recommend checking out Accent Beauty! Not only is Jen amazing, but the entire staff is just so welcoming and helpful. Thanks so much for bringing out my natural beauty!

I had a facial here yesterday. It was a little tough to actually book the appointment- I called twice and no answer after I booked online to see if they accepted my appointment, as I didn't get a confirmation email. I then physically stopped by; the door was open but no one was at the front desk and I kind of yelled to the back, but no one was there. I called again and no mention was made of my previous appointment I had booked online, so I didn't really worry about it.
I have had a ton of facials at both small places (like here), esthetician schools, and the fancy, where you are served lunch and it is tres fancy. Jennifer was relaxing and had a nice touch; I had the facial extraordinaire. They use the Sanitas skin care line which has some nice products. The pumpkin mask tingled and did turn my face red, but once removed, I didn't seem to have any adverse effects- sometimes Sanitas really irritates my sensitive skin, so I was happy a product was chosen that took my sensitive skin into account.
She did a great job of waxing my brows. It was a little warm in the room and there was also some problems with the music clicking on and off. It is a good deal for a facial and an eyebrow wax- $70. -

I had my very first Facial there by Amy over the weekend and she was wonderful. She totally understood how worried I was that I would turn red or breakout because I have had friends go to wrong salon and this has happened to them. She talked me through everything , even the products she was using on me. She also did a WONDERFUL job on my brow wax!! I cant wait till next month to go back and get another facial! It was so relaxing and my face felt amazing after!
I only give them 4 stars because its very hard to reach them to make an appointment. I had to call 3 or 4 times before I ever spoke with someone to make my appointment. -

Just moved to Denver and found Accent Beauty off of yelp- in short: best waxing experience of my life! I am prone to irritated skin after waxing, and this was the first time I didnt get any kind of bumps :) The products they use are great for sensitive skin and the technicians seem knowledgeable on everything which is always reassuring.
Nora is absolutely amazing and makes you feel so comfortable. I havent tried other people but I hear they are just as great. The place is cozy and in a nice location and you cant beat these prices! Book your appointment online- simple and east!
You wont regret your experience... -

I went here for a facial and eye brow wax and it was fantastic! Nora is warm, friendly, and incredibly talented. She has a great touch, and offered great advice, custom to my skin care. I was so sad at the end when we were finished. It was relaxing, enjoyable, and rejuvenating.

Just like everyone else has said, Nora is amazing! She makes you feel comfortable, has great conversation skills AND of course is phenomenal at what she does. Best facial ever (although only facial ever, the bar is set high) and she uses hard wax which is nice for the ultra-sensitive people or those who just don't like having their skin ripped off. There's a reason why everyone has rated them so well, this is a place who cares about their customers and loves their jobs!

Oh. My. Goodness. That was amazing!
I just had my first facial yesterday, from Nora at Accent Beauty. Being new to this, I was a little nervous as I walked in. Nora introduced herself and set me right at ease. She's intelligent, she's experienced and she has lovely skin. All things that make me feel better when going to a skin care expert. Plus, she's just a doll; so friendly! She consulted me about my skin type and what I was hoping to accomplish with the facial.
I went into the treatment room and was left to get ready and lay on the very comfortable treatment table, covered with plush blankets. Everything is decorated in a cute, Spring green. Very comforting and very clean.
Nora came in and began my treatment. First she cleansed my skin with a lemon scented cleanser. She's so gentle! Next was a papaya mask. That was left on for awhile as steam gently blew over my face. Nora removed the mask and gave me a massage on my face, neck and shoulders. Then came a cooling ginsing mask, which felt wonderful! While that was working, she massaged my arms and hands. Then she cleared off the ginsing mask and applied moisturizer that contained a blend of vitamins (A,C,D,E and K, I think). The entire treatment was one blissful hour. I can't wait to go back again.
I would recommend Accent Beauty and Nora to everyone! Wow! It's great to be in the hands of an expert! -

If you have skin or eyebrows you should get to know Nora.
I took advantage of the Accent Groupon that was offered a while back, thanks to work and the holidays, I did not have a chance to use it until yesterday.
Friday I decided to book an appointment, thinking I would not be able to get in for a week or so, to my delight there was a late saturday afternoon appointment available, so I snapped it up. I booked for a facial and brow shaping and set to waiting eagerly,
Saturday I wandered over to Accent and was greeted very warmly by the girl at the counter as well as a friendly hello called out from the back. Nora was finishing up with her appointment (I was early) and I got to see how wonderfully she interacted with her customers. When she finished up with them she and I talked about my skin issues (dry air, clogged pores) and then we got to work.
I made myself comfortable on the table in the back room and Nora let me sniff some masks so I could choose the one I liked (Pumpkin, mmm mm mm!). Then we began what may have been the most relaxing hour or so of my life, I was slathered and wrapped and steamed and massaged, somewhere in there was a painless brow waxing, I seriously barely even noticed it, she is THAT good!
I had come in with some puffy redness from one of my products, I had just thought it was normal for me until Nora pointed out that it was gone by the end of my facial. She sent me home with some samples of the Sanitas products she used so that I can pinpoint which of my existing products is causing it.
So this is a lot of words to tell you that you should go and visit Nora to have your face, feet or body hair pampered and made beautiful. Seriously, just go. -

Friendly, knowledgeable, approachable staff, fantastic facial--with face, shoulder, and arm/hand massages thrown in! Great products, but they don't push them on you. And all in a lovely, low-key space. I just read the other reviews, so I should add that I had Jennifer--it is she to whom I'm referring here. She was wonderful! She also gave me TONS of samples so I can figure out which products work for me before buying.

It seems that the 5 stars are for Nora because my experience was the exact opposite of everyone's listed here. Jennifer was TERRIBLE! I had a Groupon for $65 and signed up for the 60 minute Facial Extraordinaire. From the time I walked in the door, I felt unwelcomed. That aside, I didn't feel the atmosphere was conducive to relaxation or perhaps I expected more from a spa experience.
Jennifer was rushed, unprofessional, and rough. Not what I expect from a relaxing facial. The music either kept skipping or she fast forwarded through certain songs. The kicker was that I "paid" for 60 minutes and felt like I was kicked out at 45. I was shocked when she said it was complete, and when I looked at my watch, I was right, it was finished early.
My coworker who also purchased the Groupon signed up for future services because Nora was great. I should have listened to her and just waited for Nora to be available....although speaking of, the schedule here is very limited. I will never return to this establishment, not even at a discount! -

I think the instant I walked into her shop, I fell in love with Norah. Her family is also extremely charming and wonderful to be around.
It's a bit pricey, but two reasons why that doesn't really matter in the long-run:
1. I love supporting small businesses and
2. The products are of the highest quality (I know because I was here for the make-up party and used this stuff).
I figure, why blow $5 on 8 low-quality foundations if you can get one that lasts you a year and makes you look great?
I think I'm going to shift all my purdy lil' needs this way from now on!
Totally encourage everyone to check out their end-of-the-month make-up parties (Alex is amazingly talented and extremely helpful)...they have wine and snacks on top of the cheerful ambiance! -

NORA IS AMAZING!
Went for my second Brazilian wax today after not seeing Nora for a little over a year. I remembered my first wax going great and she didn't disappoint! Brazilians are never painless, but it wasn't bad at all. Plus, she never misses any hairs! Go see Nora, you won't be disappointed! -

Do you have a face? Then you should try a facial from Accent Beauty!
I was a facial newbie until last fall when I had my first one done here during Hawt on Yelp week. My impressions: I'm not sure if every place does this, but you get a nice neck and shoulder rub, and an arm rub down and little hand massage. This is way more relaxing than I thought it would be. Nora is certified in skin care, and not only does she love what she does (you can tell), she's extremely good at it. First timers will fill out paperwork so she can get an idea of your skin type and skin care regimen. At each step, she lets you know just what she's doing and how the product will feel on your face. I really like that she shares information about skin care and products, but in a way that you don't feel obligated to purchase. Plus, Nora is just friendly, energetic, and fun to be around. After my first visit, she recommended that I come back as the seasons change - to sort of give your face a booster, and get it back on track. I can tell you - right now I feel glowy and radiant. That's priceless, ya'll.
A few tips:
- If you're a contact lens wearer, take those puppies out
- I'd recommend making sure you don't have to be somewhere immediately after your facial, since you walk out sans makeup with your hair in disarray. Plus, you'll be relaxed and want to take it easy!

Nora is great! She is so friendly and knowledgeable. I went to her during the half off beauty services week through Yelp and I was not disappointed!! I had a chemical peel and she explicitly warned me time and again about the peeling that would follow, I thought "oh ok I never peel that bad".... Boy was I wrong! I kept hearing her say you will think something is wrong and you will doubt it but just wait and it will get better. Boy did it! My skin looks amazing and my pores look wonderful, completely worth it and I am going back again!!! Thanks Nora!

I just went for a facial here for the first time and loved it. Nora was extremely nice, easy to talk to and informative. I am used to coming out of a facial with really red (sometimes even bruised) skin from extractions due to my sensitive skin - I didn't have any problems this time, infact my skin looked glowing and healthy afterwards. I am very glad that I discovered Accent Beauty because I will definitely become a regular here. Absolutely loved it - highly recommended.

Nora runs a terrific business with reasonable prices and where you always feel pampered. Highly recommend. She has taken a really gentle and knowledgable approach to my unhappy rosacea skin but also gave my 70 year old mother a terrific facial that was targetted towards her particular skin care needs. If you want to give someone a gift for a little pampering at a salon, you can be assured that they will have a good experience with Nora. Her assistant is good as well but I would go out of my way to make the appointment with Nora herself because of her knowledge and soothing manner.
