From the outside this place looks a little shabby, may have not gone in if it weren't for the recommendation from a friend. Inside we were greeted immediately shown to our table. The service was very friendly, attending to our table at appropriate times. Homemade salsa and warm chips when you sit down. Yum!
There were 3 types of Nachos on the menu-- we went with the Supreme Nachos with Chicken. (See Photo) Some of the best nachos I've ever had!!! Real cheddar cheese, lettuce tomatoes onions, refried beans, guac, sour cream and homemade salsa. You have the option of beef or pork. The chicken was pulled and seasoned to absolute perfection!!!! Tender, moist and the right level of heat. We asked for some jalapenos on the side (no charge.)
The Nachos were very filling and ended up being enough for the two of us for lunch. We did however, decide to indulge in the fried ice cream. My leading man had never had it-- and was blown away. Ice cream was super fresh and not overly sweet. lightly breaded with flavors of cinnamon and drizzled in caramel sauce. served in a pastry bowl and garnished with whipped cream. Delish!!!
If I find myself in the area-- would definitely return! Ideal for a pit stop on the way down the cape this summer. Would highly recommend-- don't let the building fool you-- this is some of the best Mexican ever!!! YUM! -

I have to be honest here, easily the worst "Mexican" resturaunt I have ever been to.
For staters the service was poor. We were seated right away in the mostly empty restaurant (this was on a Thursday night in early August, in the Cape; so seeing anyplace this empty is rare). But even after being seated we waited a fairly long time before we finally saw our waitress. She introduced herself before saying she'll be right back with some chips.
She dropped them off and took our drink order. The first thing I noticed was how bad the chips were. Not only did they taste like they came straight from a bag, it tasted like a bag that had been open for a few months. The salsa had the consistency of water.
Speaking of water mine arrived with something floating in it.
The food was just as bad as every thing else. Both our dishes looked like dog food and they were cold.
I know that there aren't a lot of options for "Mexican" food in the area but that's no excuse for coming here. -

Was here for Cinco De Mayo while vising Connecticut and it was awesome!!! it was pretty busy but we were seated pretty quickly, chips/salsa almost immediately upon being seated...food was great and wonderful atmosphere.

The Sangria pitcher was good... it went down easy. we each ordered different meals and all agreed that they were acceptable for American Mexican food. I personally liked the chile relleños and the whole black beans. The place was large and moved people quickly, but didn't rush us while as the table. The Cinco do Mayo celebrations were a little subdued, but we still enjoyed the meal.

Average Mexican food. Very pricey. I expected more. Hamburger in the burrito combo.
Didn't go with the Margarita's because of the price. The good is the Authentic waiters. -

I wasn't a big fan with my steak chimmi, but everyone I was with loved it.

The other reviews are right on. This may well be the best Mexican restaurant on the Cape. There ARE others, I assume. A bit of a reprieve from the excellent seafood that abounds elsewhere.
Excellent complimentary chips & salsa to start with. We had the Combo Tijuana with a taco and the Tostada Salad with shredded beef. Everything was just right.

ACAPULCO'S IS TOP NOTCH!
I went here numerous times while I was on the Cape, and this is hands down the best mexican food that I have had in my life!
The service is quick, friendly, and reliable- but not overpowering. The portions are huge, so the price of some of their plates makes it worth it. I have gotten the chicken/shrimp fajitas and they were full of flavor. Also, I tried the Oceano burrito, and all of the seafood in it was fresh, as expected for the Cape!
They make their Margarita's nice and strong, just how I like them. They come in many different flavor's and you will NOT be disappointed. The FREE chips and salsa is also amazing...The chips come out nice and warm, and the salsa has a great kick to it!
I always look forward to coming here when I'm up there. If you visit the Cape or live up here this place will not disappoint! YUM! -

We went here based on the high reviews, and Mexican food sounded like the perfect way to wrap up a day at the beach.
The restaurant itself was warm and inviting.
We both ordered chicken dishes and I got the fajitas. The food was authentic and good although I could have used some more spice. I would not say that it's the best Mexican food I've ever had, being from Arizona, but for the price I was very satisfied with my meal.
My only complaint was that the chips could have been warmer. -

So I've read the reviews for the other Acapulco's locations in Mass (Quincy, Sudbury, Beverly, etc.) and they are all pretty bad. I have to say, though, having lived in places OTHER than New England where decent Mexican food with actual spices exists, this is as good as you're going to find anywhere in southeast Mass, or anywhere in New England, as far as I can tell.
Great cerveza selection, I hear they have good margaritas, huge portions, and it's really just delicious, especially after a day at the beach or a day spent raking leaves.
I will say that they have off days. Some days it's spectacular, and other days it's so-so. That said, it's still one of my favorite places to eat on the Cape, and if you happen to go on an off day, try it again. -

Very good margaritas, not too sweet or sour.... and ice cold beers. We had nachos and another appetizers both were great. The bartenders and waitstaff were very attentive, we were asked at least five times if everything was good.. I would absolutely go back. Give it a try.

While on a recent vacation in Cape Cod, we desperately needed a break from fried clams and cole slaw. There really aren't many Mexican options, but I'd done some Internet searches and Acapulco's came up as an option.
We were very impressed with the food. The prices are what you expect at a place like this, and the service and surroundings were fine. The only thing that was at all an annoyance was the fire alarm that the kitchen somehow set off. It was quite loud for about 2-3 minutes until they figured out how to shut it off... but I have to assume that is not a daily occurance!
Very authentic food. I'd go back for sure. While I definitely wouldn't anything that fell on the floor, don't believe the other reviews you'll find where the author bashes the place for being dirty. It's definitely not a dirty place from what I observed.
