Went here Thursday night for my niece's 17th birthday.  Twas lovely and our waiter was perfect.

My glass of Sangria was nice and strong.  I ordered the Chicken Fajitas which came with tasty Spanish Rice, and sides of guacamole, sour cream, chunks of shredded cheddar, shredded lettuce, and chunks of tomatoes.  The sliced, grilled chicken came sizzling on a mass of roasted onions and green peppers.  Total YUM!  Love those flour tortillas you wrap all that good stuff in too!

My mother ordered something with spicy grilled jumbo Shrimp on top of the Spanish rice, lettuce, and tomatoes.  This came with side of sour cream that had scallions mixed in too.  Nice touch.  She loved it and LOVED those leftovers.  Acapulcos is extremely generous and it would be tough to go home without left overs.

My sister let the waiter know it was my niece's bday and we sang "Happy Birthday" to her in Spanish and English while she wore a HUGE blue sombrero with gold embroidery on the top and rim of the hat.  They gave her real Strawberry Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce which she said was delicious.

We all had a wonderful time.

One final note, I've been to the Acapulcos in Milford and found their floor setting for tables and booths very cramped.  This made the areas seem crowded and you could overhear peoples' conversations.  This one in Sudbury has a far more relaxed and welcoming feeling.  The tables and booths are spread out.  Also, I saw four vegetarian meals on the menu.  I will be back and I will bring my vegetarian friends!

Acapulco's is a fun Mexican go-to and worth the drive for anyone who lives in the greater Boston area!! I have been there countless times with just one or two other as well as in large groups. Absolutely great good, drinks, and atmosphere. Really enjoyed everything I've ever ordered and the people there are great. I like the decor quite a bit plus they have just about every type of margarita, sangria, burrito, churro, enchilada, quesidilla, chile rellenno......well, ever. You name it they got it.

Took off one star because the seem to vary from location to location. The Framingham restaurant is not so nice. I guess that scarred the Sudbury locale for me too!

This is one of our go to places to eat. I love the service and attentiveness of all the staff. The owner came by to ask if we needed anything.

My choice for the evening was the fajitas for two with chicken and steak. It was cooked well and served hot.

I was able to bring some home for my husband to enjoy for his lunch the next day. Many of their meals are substantial and can be shared.

I often choose different meals to get a better sense of the different flavors and combinations of food.

There were three birthdays celebrated there during our visit and the wait staff arrived to sing to the lucky birthday attendee.

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE tex-mex and Acapulcos never lets me down. They have great service, consistently delicious food, a great drink menu and ample parking.
I have never had a bad experience here and their Cadillac Margharita is a force to be reckoned with.
Definitely a place to go with groups, for a casual date or even just drinks.

I have been going to the Sudbury Acapulcos location for about 5 years. I have never had a disappointing meal - although I have tried a few things that were not in my norm and did not care for them but others liked them. I have tried the Framingham location a couple times but was not nearly as impressed as the Sudbury location.

This is the perfect place for a casual date night. This is my boyfriend and my favorite place to go out. He always gets coronas and I have a Margarita and we can relax and just talk. His favorite was the steak and shrimp combo that comes with rice and beans. My boyfriend is from Brazil so you know he is picky when it comes to rice and beans but he loves them from there. I usually get either the enchiladas jalisco or chile colorado. Both are always awesome and the meat is always so tender!

The service is always perfect. As soon as you sit down someone is always there to take your drink order and immediately after chips and salsa (the salsa is a bit spicy - I usually mix the spicy one with some of the non spicy one which they will bring out if you request it) come out. I do not suggest getting an appetizer and a meal unless you are splitting the appetizer with a big group. The appetizers are huge -especially the nachos - which are not really good as leftovers. You can barely make it through your appetizer before your food is coming out.

We usually do not have room for dessert and have lots of food to take home for a cheap bill around $40-45 (which is not bad for a beer or 2, margarita and 2 meals!) I did try the flan once which was everything you expect flan to be!

Yet another first date disaster. The dude showed up with greasy hair and a certain je ne sais quois that wafted over from his side of the table.....

Driving up, I just knew that the evening wasn't going to end well. Acapulcos was painted a tacky shade of turquoise and definitely could have used a fresh coat of paint. I wasn't going to let that stop me. I continued to be optimistic re: both the guy and venue. We were seated promptly.

At the table, the chips were cold. I didn't like the salsa-it's served in a carafe that is reminiscent of a Pace Picante bottle. In fact, the salsa also reminded me of something out of a bottle. In an empty restaurant, I felt pushed to order before I was ready. I was too busy having an awkward conversation with a guy I wanted to run from.

THANK GOD FOR MARGARITAS!  I'll have mine on the rocks with salt. "What's that Mr. Disaster Date? You don't drink? Awesome!"

I did enjoy my chicken mole enchiladas. I just wished that there was more mole sauce on in. The flavor was pretty good. More uncomfortable conversation. For a place that was in such a hurry to take my order, they sure were lagging around when it came to bring the check.

Won't be seeing the guy or returning to this place any time soon.

Acapulcos's is a popular choice for Mexican food in the Sudbury area. They have a nice selection of typical Mexican style dishes and make a pretty tasty margarita.

The food is good here, it's not great but it is all around solid. The service is usually pretty good and everything for the most part is affordable.

I usually go with the enchilada dishes when I eat here. They offer a nice selection of burritos, tacos and fajitas as well. There usually is a pretty nice selection of specials as well.

For the most part I like Acapulco's, I just don't love it.

So, I will say this:  the service was impeccable and attentive.  I'd give the service five stars---one of these two stars is for the service....I may be biased having grown up on ultra-authentic Mexican food, but this place had it all wrong.

I came here craving carne asada.  I wanted carne asada tacos.  I got carne asada enchiladas.  First, the carne asada was not at all seasoned, it was leathery and charred.  The mole was completely flavorless and boring.  And no cheese in an enchilada?  Really!?  I will say the refried beans were pretty delicious and they DID have orange soda-which was nice.

Other than that, I won't be going back.

My fiance and I decided last week out of the blue that we really wanted Mexican food, so we looked on line for Mexican restaurant near where I lived and I found Acapulcos in Sudbury. I have driven by the restaurant many times on my way home from work, but had never actually tried the place out. So we decided to go and it was the best restaurant dining decision I have ever made.

It is a quaint restaurant and beautifully decorated, it made you feel like you were in the Southwest and Mexico. They gave us chips and fresh homemade salsa and then I ordered a margarita, because margaritas and Mexican food are always a fantastic mix. I ordered the blue moonlight margarita and I took my first sip and wow! The drink was delicious and really had a good kick to it, the best margarita I had had in awhile.

We then decided we were going to order an appetizer before our meals so we got nachos and then we ordered our meals. My fiance got the
Chile con Colorado and I got the Fajitas Tacos. The appetizer came and it was huge, it was a meal unto itself, at that point we kind of regretted getting the app along with our dinner. The nachos were delicious, plenty of toppings and we only got halfway through before we had to have to boxed up to take home with us.

Before we knew it our meals arrived and to our amazement our entrees were huge as well, they definitely do not skip out on the portions here! My fajitas tacos were amazing, along with the side dishes that came with it Spanish rice and re-fried beans (homemade, not from a can) My fiance had the Chile con Colorado, which was also amazing the red sauce that was on the meat was sweet and had a little kick to it, but it was so good. We ended up taking home portions of our meals too, but it was so well worth it and boy were we stuffed!

Strong recommendation: If you are getting a meal and an appetizer I recommend only the meals, because there portions are so large. We spent about $47.00 for our meal, but for all we got the price was worth it. There drinks are very well priced all margaritas on the menu are under $10.00! The service was fantastic, our waiter was very polite, and the cool part was he spoke in both English and Spanish and I was able to use some of my Spanish that I learned in colleges to communicate with him. Overall this was a fantastic dining experience and I highly recommended this restaurant and I now have a favorite Mexican restaurant

FYI...it is real Mexican but a lot of the choices are a bit more "American/ Mexican" due to the location.  Nothing will ever compare to Tex Mex IN TEXAS or Mexican food in MEXICO.  If you think about it...most of that has to do with the ingredients and the prep.  This is one of the better in the are tho.

My favorite dish is the Camarones y Arroz.  Huge and packed with flavor.  I usually ask for no shredded cheese and cojita cheese on the side (They have cojita for the burritos and I find it tastes way better than just shredded cheddar)  The nachos are the best you are going to get in the area.  They have even been so kind as to let us bring our own farm tomatoes to cut up on our dish.

Drinks are great, especially the house made Sangria which I am still trying to beg the Manager and bar staff for the secret ingredients!  Good selection of Mexican beers.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant a couple of months ago for a casual meal and were not disappointed.  The ambiance is friendly, but the lighting a bit too dim and the physical appearance of our surroundings made me question the cleanliness of the place.  There was a wait for the dining room so we opted for a table in the bar section.  It was loud, but not overbearing like some restaurants.  We were able to hear each other in our little corner.

The concern I felt over my first impressions was dispelled once we started eating.  The drinks were excellent and our food was tasty.  I had the fish tacos and really enjoyed them.  Service was prompt and friendly.  I think we will go back.

I love Acapulco's.  Another reviewer prefers Sierra's, but everytime we go there, the rice is so old and overcooked it resembles bb's, the service is mediocre, and the chips are stale.

If you go to Acapulco's, you get greeted warmly, served warm, fresh tortilla chips and homemade salsa, and they have a great selection of different types of Mexican Cuisine.  The Pollo Con Crema is excellent, as is the Tacos Al Pastor.

They have an extensive list of Mexican Beer (try the Negro Modelo), and a full service bar.  I like the fact that the Mexican Food is more like the food I ate in Mexico, and less Americanized.  That's of course, if you look beyond the burritos, and standard fare.

There's lots of families there; and the ambiance, though not fancy, is warm and friendly.  The staff is terrific!  You'll get your chips and salsa in a heartbeat, your drinks ordered, and your meal ordered and delivered quickly.  The waiters are friendly, attentive, and polite.

We always have a good meal, and a great time when we eat there.

Acapulco's is my favorite choice for Mexican food in the burbs.  If you like margaritas, try the "Ultimate" with Patron tequila - fantastic!  I love tortilla soup and finally tried theirs during my latest visit.  It's a nice variation - grilled chicken and avocado chunks make theirs stand apart from the rest.  You can sit in the restaurant or there are some tables in the bar area as well where they have a couple of TVs.

Between the free chips and salsa and the fairly large portions, you certainly will never leave hungry!

Yes, this is Americanized Mexican, but that doesn't mean it isn't good!

This restaurant has a great selection of Mexicanized foods, and even has a nicely discounted lunch menu. The portions are huge, and the service has always been great. Even with take-out  you still receive the chips and salsa that they give you when you dine in.

My burrito today was a whopping $7 and I seriously think I have enough left for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Yes, it is that big of a burrito, I am not even exaggerating. Yum.

We went here for Father's Day last week. My parents LOVE it.  It's really good tex-mex food... the waiters there are really nice and we got the halibut (sooo good!!!), chicken mole (yummm!!) & I got the flank steak (also yumm!!!) and their soppipillas and flan are AMAZING!!!

Next time I'm gonna try their enchiladas.. I'm a big fan but am always disappointed at the ones I get in the North East (since I grew up in the South West like 20 min away from the Mexican border haha)

    Good salsa!!!

This is one of the best Mexican places in the Boston area. If you're looking for good mexican and tex-mex food, this is the place. You start with fresh, warm tortilla chips and salsa while you look over the menu. There are a few non-mexican choices for people who don't want to eat mexican. Their dishes are tastefully done and are americanized, but still retain some authentic flavour.

I love their chicken mole enchiladas and just about everything else on the menu. If you're looking for something spicy, be sure to ask them to turn it up for you as most of the dishes aren't spicy at all.

This Acapulcos is not related to (and is much superior to) the Acapulcos in Watertown. However, it is owned by the same people as those who own Ixtapa Mexican Cantina in Arlington (also a really tasty place).

    Don't do it.

It's family style, barely Mexican food.

Lots of parents bring their kids here because of the big portions but...

    -The refried beans were inedible.

-Little to no lettuce on my Tacos

    -Margaritas expensive and weak.

    Go to Sierra's instead.

    El Mediocrity.
Plentiful, heavy dishes of Americanized Mexican food. Lots of cheese and jalapenos and salsa and sour cream and...recognize the food? Yeah, it's essentially every c-level Mex joint across the planet.
Do I like it? After a couple of (expensive) frozen tequilla drinks, I'd probably eat Taco Bell and smile, but yeah, it's not bad.
It's just that I know they don't eat this in Mexico, or LA, to be honest. We really could use a great authentic MexJoint in this area.

Really great Mexican food. There isn't many Spanish food places in the area, so it's great they are in town. I travel all over New Englad for work, so I eat out a lot and when I am in specific area I like to find a reliable place to eat and I always have a great meal here. I get the carne asada, chicken fajitas or the chimichangas, and they are all great. The portions are huge, and the waiters are friendly.

Pretty decently authentic Mexican food in a Boston suburb.  I'm from Southern California where authentic Mexican is offered on every corner, and Acapulco's is as close to real as I've found so far.

The price points are very good, and it's a great family restaurant that you can go to regularly.  The carne asada is very flavorful & the shredded beef tacos are delish.

My 1st 5 Star review! And well worth it!

The only possible complaints I have with this place is that it's not in a major area, Rt 20 is a busy commute and all, but not downtown Main St. Also the outside could use a fresher paint job, a bit of peeling paint chips.

    That's it

Where to start with the good, well last night I took my Bride to be their for her Birthday dinner. We sat down, she got a Blue Cactus Margarita, and I got a Corona. Chips and home made salsa was served by another waiter while ours got our drink. MY GOD these chips can be a meal all their own.
She knew what she wanted, looked it up online during work, whereas I like to actually look at the menu at the restaurant, so we ordered an appetizer and the waitress said she would put in that order and wait and come back for me to pick out my entree. We got the Baja Chicken Taquitos for an app. They were crispy, and tasty and went well with the Guacamole
We both had chimichanga's, I also had a burrito and enchiladas (my fav) The food was all seasoned delisioully served with rice and refried beans, not nearly as salty as 'authentic' Hispanic food, but in truth I like it that way. Many places actually over salt their food to sell more beer this place didn't it knows their customer's pallet and caters to it.
The portions were huge, well worth the price, and just between you and me maybe a few dollars more.
The wait staff was very attentive, working in tandem, 1 would order the other would bring out the food for her. They made sure we had everything we needed $7.50 margaritas for the size, well worth it. Sadly we did not have room for desert after the meal so I cannot comment, on the fried ice cream, again one of my fav's.
In addition to all this, there was a table with kids near us, and the mood of the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful.

But really I can sum this whole review up to 2 words "Come Here!!!"

I love mexican food and this place hits the spot. I grew up in the western united states where good mexican joints were a dime a dozen.  Here in Mass; however, it is really hard to find a good mexican place.  Acapulcos is exactly what I miss. Their food is cheap (really cheap at lunch) and very filling.

Their homemade salsa is perfect, and it goes wonderfully with the homemade chips.

So... the salsa was GREAT!  The chips were fresh, veggies were good.  VERY NICE staff, very attentive...  It's just....

The sauces were strange.  My chimichanga was okay, I mean, how can you screw up a deep fried shell with chicken and cheese in it?  My husband's enchiladas were not good at all.  He hated the sesame sauce on the chicken one, and it had the texture of chocolate.  He LOVES food and just couldn't take it.  He usually loves those at other places.

The rice tasted weird, no veggies in it at all... I've usually seen peas in rice at Tex-Mex places, but even just the flavor of it seemed off.  Maybe it's just us, because I've seen both positive and negative reviews for this place on here.  Maybe it was an "off" day for them there, but the atmosphere was okay if they would work on their recipes a bit.

And we both felt ILL the rest of the night...  Not a good sign.

WHY IS THERE NOWHERE GOOD TO EAT IN METROWEST BESIDES A FEW PLACES I'M SICK OF?

I've had better Mexican in Kentucky (El Azul's or Casa Fiesta).

The Tex-Mex in San Antonio (Las Palapas) rocked my socks off.  So, it's not that I don't like that type of food... :-(

Average Americanized Mexican food at best.  The building itself is old, beat up, ugly and outdated.  Like 1986.  The service is quick and below average, I think they wanted us out quick, wanting to turn our table in 30 minutes.  The food is okay at best.  I had fajitas, wife had tacos.  Not very impressed, not much flavor.  We won't back.

This place is pretty bad in many ways.  Food is not good, it isn't really Mexican food, and the place isn't clean.  Not recommended.

Acapulcos is pretty tasty.  They have good drinks and good chips and salsa.  It's a pretty typical mexican restaurant.  It's a good place to go get a drink with co-workers after a tough day of work.  Nice atmosphere and nice staff.

Acapulco's is your typical above-average chain in your typical suburban area.  And when I say above-average, I mean better than Qdoba or Moe's.  There are many times when I am totally craving Mexican food and really want a good margarita, some hot tortilla chips, and refried beans, and this is when I head to Acapulco's.  I like their selection of seafood enchiladas and their vegetarian fare.  I think their prices are a little high, but you do get a good amount of food.  Also, the wait is generally pretty short, even when the restaurant is crowded.  So, if you want a tasty helping of Mexican food that isn't necessarily authentic or healthy, Acapulco's is for you.

Start with a truly fantastico El Presidente margarita and anything will taste great, but the food here is genuinely good Tex Mex.  We love the chicken and steak fajitas...tasty meat and delicious grilled vegetables with a full plate of fluffy rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream etc.  One order is more than enough for two people.  The chips are fresh, as is the salsa, and the margaritas are potent and full of fresh lime juice and tequila.  The wait staff is friendly and service is very fast.  We go here quite a lot and recommend it.

You know what?  If you live sort of close, go for it.

I love Acapulcos!  I'm originally from Sudbury and whenever I go home my friends and I always congregate at Acapulcos.  I can't find a salad anywhere that is just like or as good as the tostada salad there.  I even eat the salsa there, and I pretty much hate everything about tomatoes.  They have even gotten me to drink margaritas when I don't like tequila...are you seeing a pattern here :)

Acapulco's is surprisingly good and authentic. I'm from Southern California and the food here is definitely comparable to the fantastic Mexican food found in California. I found the carne asada to be quite tasty and full of flavor, the nachos were very yummy, and the chips and salsa were pretty addicting. The price is great for the quality/quantity and I will be definitely be returning.

This is very good Tex-Mex cuisine at amazingly good prices.  The drinks are good, the food is great.  Love the warm chips and homemade salsa as a starter.  The staff does a nice job.  It can get a little cramped and the bar area is not anyone's idea of big, but if you're looking for good, hearty Tex-Mex fare, you could do a lot worse than Acapulcos.

Another Yelper spoiled by the excellent Mexican food California has to offer, this is probably the best you're going to get here. They make a nice margarita also. Have a (too small IMHO) vegetarian section of the menu which many other Mexican places don't offer.
