For those of you reading this review solely for the cafe: Uh, get the tacos al pastor and horchata. Get the Mexican Style tacos or suffer my wrath. Skip the desserts, there's a stellar panaderia next door for that.

The rest of you: Yeah, the hot food's good, really good. But, um, guys, check out the market part! There's all kinds of stuff you can't get at Publix, like real tortillas and beans that taste like abuela's but come out of a can. (I know, really confusing. Hint: not Goya.)  They have a meat market with knowledgeable, friendly butchers. And, oh yeah, the produce is awesome. Guanabana is impossible to find here (though y'all grow it here) so it made my day to pick up a few. Just don't tell everyone how cheap all this good food is....ohhh, crap. It's normal prices by Washington State standards, but that's a bargain by Florida standards.

Are the tacos better than the average Bradenvegas taco truck? Still working on that question. Suggestions welcomed if there are better trucks, the ones I've found have been kinda eh.

This is excellent food and at a great price and I won't try to steal away any of Coty's brilliant review. All I will add is that I love tacos al pastor and the Acapulco served it up as well as any I've ever eaten. The only tacos that could be better than the ones I last had there are the next ones I will have there.

This is a large Mexican grocery store that has a café in the back that makes some of the best tacos I have ever had.  I did not know what real tacos tasted like until I moved to Bradenton and ate here and at the many taco trucks in the area.  If you don't dare to go to the trucks for tacos, then this is the air conditioned hotspot for you.
There are only four tables, so it is best to get takeout.
The café has a long row of steel troughs of climate controlled food behind glass for you to press you nose against.  First there is a cold food counter that has many salad and ceviche items to choose from with seasonal fruits and seafood.  The hot items are things like fried whole fish, potato balls filled with seasoned ground meat, shredded pork, beef in chili sauce, etc.  They also have buttered rice and beans.  On the other side of the register is a cold counter with desserts such as flan, leche cake, and rice pudding.  All of their flour and corn tortillas are fresh and made in house, sold by the pound.  You can watch them make them and cook them on a conveyor belt behind the juice counter.  They also sell their amazing guacamole and red chili sauce. Another heated counter with slabs of 3-foot-long chicharones (fried pork skin), large slabs of dry rubbed beef ribs, and  whole rotisserie chickens (falling apart they are so tender).  And, last but not least their fresh juice counter with four (seasonal) amazing juices to choose from($1.50 for a large), such as watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, tamarind, strawberry and horchata.
Horchata is sweet rice milk spiced with cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg over ice.  It is great to drink with spicy foods.  They sell a whole rotisserie chicken, with a quart of chili sauce, and a pound of tortillas for $5.99 (enough for a family of four).
Last but not least their tacos!  All tacos come with a side of lime and red chili sauce.  There is a list of about ten different meats to choose from, such as sliced beef, stewed beef in chili sauce, shredded pork, chopped pork, chicken, fried pork skin, and tongue.  There are two styles of tacos that you can order Tacos Mexicanos ($1.50 each), your choice of meat on a corn tortilla with minced onion, cilantro, and a side of lime.  The other is the American Style ($2.00 each) loaded up with a bunch of aside from your choice of meat like lettuce, slice avocado, sour cream, and crumbed cheese on a flour tortilla.  I prefer the Mexican style tacos, since that is the most authentic and you can taste the meat with the herbs and onion together.  Their Chicken Tacos Mexicanos are actually quite healthy and are on my diet (4 points each). Top it off with a squeeze of lime and some hot chili sauce, fresh watermelon juice ($1.50), and a tub of guacamole ($3.99).

OK YES... this is the real deal. Best Authentic Mexican food! Don't be intimidated to walk in you will not be sorry. The other reviews are spot on. GO TO ACAPULCO!!! Yummy. I will be going back for sure, but I think I ate too much. Also, next door is a Mexican bakery don't forget to stop in there too.

Over the last couple weeks I have had the chance to make visits to pretty much all of the Mexican food spots in Bradenton, as found here on Yelp, as I have been finding the need to satisfy my Taco craving I have been having to deal with over the last few weeks. I am originally from California, and as far as I am concerned, the best Mexican food comes from there. That being said though I have been very satisfied with the food I have eaten. Acapulco Tropical I would rave about because of the portion size that you get, I got just the plain Tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro and onion, 2 chicken and 2 steak (my usual order anywhere I go) and the plate was HUGE! The tacos were very full. The only thing I found disappointing was the onions, usually from my experience the onions tend to be grilled or at least soft, these were very big chunks and raw, wasnt a big fan of that, but for sure a big fan of the portion size.

The cafeteria is located in the back right of the supermarket. The food here is amazing, the portions are very large, and the prices are cheap. They have a wide assortment of various meats, sold by the platter or by pound. The pork carnitas here is unbelievable. So tender and seeping with flavor. Their to-order menu also includes typical Mexican fare such as tacos, burritos, sopas, tortas, etc. They also have desserts such as rice pudding, and various aguas including a delicious horchata.
