If this place were somewhere else where there wasn't a lot of different choices for Mexican food it would be good, but really the food is just okay. it's not spectacular. Though I am biased because my family makes some really great Mexican food so I "know better". Anyways, the staff is VERY friendly and has the greatest sense of customer service.

Oh yeah, there's this thing called "Margarita Mondays"... need I say more?

    Good Happy Hour.
I came here for an event and the cantina was poppin. But the bartender was slow and they didn't have enough staff to meet all the demand. They had a DJ though which was cool for a restaurant. There's a small dancefloor and a bunch of us were dancing around.

My husband and I found ourselves alone on Easter Sunday. My family being either on vacation or living in Florida, and his family scattered to all corners of the wind, we were wondering what to do. I came up with the brilliant idea to stuff ourselves and get drunk.

What better way to make that happen than with the $17 champagne brunch at Acapulco? I am still drunk as I am writing this. The food was mostly ok, with bits of awesome thrown in. The dudes at the omelette station were insanely talented. Multitasking like I have never seen. I would have tipped them, but there was no tip jar at their table.

The champagne was, well, free. Not amazing, but not crap either. It did the trick, especially with a little orange juice tossed in to make it a mimosa.

Our server was a sweetheart, and kept our champagne full the entire time. We tipped him very well, especially since the poor guy would probably have much rather spent his Easter with his family.

Oh I'll be back. I'd spend $17 on unlimited booze any day. The food was just a perk!

Years ago, I used to meet a friend here for Happy Hour. I remember the happy hour deals being pretty decent, but their drinks were not very strong.  Chips are too thin to be really authentic style, but they are better than the typical store bought corn chip trying to pretend to be a tortilla chip and they are warm.

This was not really my choice this time as I don't really like chain restaurants, but I was meeting relatives and didn't have a choice. I figured I would play it safe by getting soup and salad combo cuz you can't really screw that up.  And I was right, the tortilla soup was good. Lots of veggies.  And Caesar salad with cilantro pepita dressing was good also. My mom said her rice was too bland.  My aunt said her enchilada and taco was "okay."

My big annoyance was their nutritional chart that they have at their table. Oooh, Cool! Lets check this out.  I'm gonna get something low fat! Well, the calorie count is there, but for those that prefer counting fat grams, you are out of luck. It only lists SATURATED fat for each entree. And I am sure a lot of people don't even realize that and think that is actually the total fat grams. Misleading.  Intentionally, misleading, I am sure.

The salsa club starts in the evening. Had to fight through all the cha cha chicks and latin music as we left.

I went there during Happy Hour and to be honest it was pretty good. The only food that I dislike was the extreme Nachos, they tasted kind of raw and it felt like they were overcooked. The place is a little small and like one of the other people that commented on Acapulco, it does get a litle noise after the Happy Hour ends!

Besides that, everything else was OK! The drinks were very intriguing, beer prices were reasonable, but it might a little pricey for the normal Joe Smoe!! I liked the bonesless wings and the buffalo are pretty good to. There is good entertainment and a good DJ jamming on some hits at times...

It's an OK place, no the best but for a quick fun night out...not a bad place at all!!

The WORSE customer service I have ever received!  I use to enjoy their happy hour, but after the poor excuse of a manager, Nelson and rude hostess, Gabriela, I won't ever return to that location.  Probably will never go to another Acapulco again.  Very disappointing!

My boyfriend and I come here almost every Friday night to grab drinks and watch the sports game that may be on that night.  We ALWAYS sit at the bar and receive EXCELLENT service from the bartender named Russ.   His customer service, stiff drinks and fast service is why we keep coming back.  We usually only order appetizer's and they are always good and fast to be delivered. But once again, if you decide to eat here, ask for Russ because i bet you will be a regular customer just like us! :)

We've been here on random Friday nights when we had that $2.99 coupon! (LOL!!!)

The service has always been pretty good and the food is pretty consistent- we usually get a combo of some sort and fajitas, and everything's always been ok... typical mexican food-chain fare...

It just gets really, really LOUD!!! They have always seated us just opposite of the bar, and they play the music at full-volume... to make matters worse, every time you get a waitress going to and from the kitchen to the bar, that door swings open and you get loud bursts of blaring music!!!

I have 3 kids and loud noise usually doesn't bother me, but I don't like to hear the low sustained booming of banda music while I'm trying to have a nice meal... We've sat in that same section a handful of times and each time we ask to move, but are told that no other tables are availible in the main dining room (Though there are always people and empty tables there)!

    Great food!

I love everything I've tried here so far--the tequila cooked flaming hot shrimp, the wet burritos, & my friend loves the margaritas here.

Plus on Friday night the music is playing at the bar & I feel like I was invited to where the party is at, or what I imagine that's what the party feels like

Anyway, great Mexican cooked chicken, streak, shrimp, rice, etc. :)

    Acapulco's

Sunday brunch at Acapulco's is the best! The food is fresh with everything you could wish for, they have both menudo and possole. I have the menudo every time I go and I must say it is very good menudo, I rate their menudo a 9 on a scale of 1-10 with fresh corn tortillas to accompany the menudo and the usual condiments.

Chile colorado, potatoes, rice, refried beans, beans de jolla, enchiladas and it is all very delicious! Oddly one of my favorites is the fresh waffles made here with whipped cream and warm butter and syrup!

    I give Acapulco's Sunday Brunch 4-stars.

Damn you Acapulco for having such a sweet ass Happy Hour but such bad service, you seriously broke my heart. Came here last night for a bday gathering we had a huge crowd and everyone complained about the service and getting orders mixed up.

Happy hour is from 4 to 7, $3.95 for house margaritas, $3 well drinks, half off appetizers, and they also have some free food, such fluatas and beans. The regular price for well drinks is $4.25 and $4.75 for a large Bud Light, so still not bad prices.
The drinks were of course pretty watered down. The food came kind of cold, and it took about 30 minutes to get. Our table was not brought any plates, napkins silver ware, love, chips, salsa, or water. I just think the poor waitress was handling too many tables and people and did a horrible job. Seriously she straight ignored me a few times, brought me over the wrong drink once, and she forgot to place our order for calamari.

If you do decide to come here for HH try the calamari, 3.35 HH price, Macho-Tizer Appetizer. $5.99 HH price, comes with shrimp nachos, fried bananas and pork, 4 buffalo strips, and 4 taquitos.

This place is large, but not enough tables, people were desperate for them. They do have a dance floor, a DJ, and a failed attempt at karaoke.

To top it off I went outside for some air and the douche bouncers at the bar, they set up around 730ish, I got there at 5 said they didn't see me leave the so they needed to see my ID, I showed it to them and they didn't believe it was me so I has to show them another ID. After they decided I was old enough to be at a bar, they tried to say I had to pay $6, which I of course said I'm not paying anything, I just walked for some air, and they made the first smart decision in their lives and stopped hassling me and let me in.

This is a review for eating here during the day. Apparently, there's a club part at night? I can't imagine that being...

Anyways! My friend and I came here because we had that coupon for "Buy one entree and 2 drinks and get the second entree for $3.99," which is a good deal. Plus, they have Margarita Mondays. $2.75 for a margarita? Let's do this:

We were seated and given the customary chips and salsa. Salsa was weak but the chips were good. Right amount of salt and thin (I like them like that :D) Our server was attentive and helpful. After 10 minutes of inner turmoil (and searching for my drivers license, which I found. SCORE!) I settled on getting the carnitas plate and one mango margarita.

My friend get veggie tacos with chile relleno which came with a side of rice and beans. She seemed pleased with hers. As for mine...

Welllllll... the carnitas were a good texture, moist and easy to chew but the flavor was missing. It had kind of a greasy quality to it. The rice and beans were alright, and the chipotle hot sauce the plate came with was nice and smokey. So, I'd probably order something else the next time I come here.

When I pay for mixed drinks, you bet I'm gonna review them. Remember the margaritas? ...I almost didn't.
They were really mild, in terms of alcohol content. It was mostly mango juice. Which is fine. But I can spend less than a dollar and get a can of Kern's Mango without the false hopes of a buzz with my meal.

I'd come back, with a coupon.

We come to town each year for the RV Expo at Pomona and always enjoy having dinner here. The service was very good and friendly. We ordered table-side guacamole. One of the avocados was rock hard and the waiter, instead of getting a new one, left huge pieces in the guacamole.
The chips and salsa were good. The cheese enchilada, carnitas, rice, beans and corn tortillas were all good.

Came here with my two cousins yesterday for brunch and was sorely disappointed.  Long wait and crappy food.  The only thing redeeming about this $15.95 per person brunch is the free flowing champagne and even that was slow going yesterday. The company was good too! We even ran into our Moms!

I enjoy Acapulco. The only thing I don't like is the seating. They have random tables strewn about and I always feel like we are seated as if we are on dislplay. We always have to ask to move tables. It is very uncomfortable, but the food and drinks are GOOD!

Meh exactly.  Meh for the food.  The service was amazing.  The waiter was nice and friendly and kept checking on us and refilling our water.  The food however, eh, my stomach hurt after.  The taquitos tasted funny, weird mixture with the beef.  I don't much care for the Acapulco chain, but they do have some good deals and coupons.  I had a buy one get one entreé for $2.99.  My fiancé likes the fried ice cream here, but after eating a ton of food, it's hard to order dessert.

This place is pretty decent for friday night happy hour.  They play old school, drinks are cheap and the chips are plentiful.  The crowd is a bit older, just like the music, but if you bring your girl its alright, just dont come looking for one or you will be disappointed.  Oh yeah, and stick to happy hour menu or you will be disappointed again.
