The smoothies are truly addictive! The flavors are fresh and unusual, and really healthy too. It's truly the guilt-free sweet and it's not a bad price either, only $5 for a smoothie and tip. $6 if you want a bowl, which I highly recommend. Since all the smoothies are just fruit and water, the "safe" flavors like strawberry are unimpressive, so go for the weirder ones.

First off, I have to say:  I love all things Brazilian (bossa nova, Rio, Portugese, muqueca, Brazilian bikinis, etc.)  ;)

Yeah, so when my bro spotted this place, my antennas went up and I zeroed in.

The shop is in an odd place---feels like your on the top floor of a parking garage.  The shop is small and cool-looking inside.  The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and explained what makes a Brazilian smoothie different from other smoothies.  Basically the Acai berry is freakin' magical!!

We tried (3) different types.  Honestly, it was hard for me to tell the difference between them.  They all tasted fairly similar and they also looked the same (dark grayish purple).  THEY WERE TASTY THOUGH!

There is a hand printed sign in the window that says that a study found Acai to kill some large percentage of cancer cells in a petri dish.

This place was started by 2 couples, one of whom is actually Brazillian.

In Brazille Acai is apparently consumed like coffee is here, but they tend to get it in the bowls (which I think are worth more for your money, as they have more fruit and less water).

The taste is so fresh and exotic, and it makes me feel so fabulous, that I seek it out for it's healing qualities. If I am feeling unwell I believe that Acai Vida will magically cure me. I don't know if it's true, but my coworker who is recovering from a serious illness has her husband buy her the discount 10 packs for her freezer(her doctor recommended she drink it).
My daughter goes to Seattle Central, and spends her money on coffee and cigarettes. As I fret about her health, I bought her a prepaid card, thus she can get something nourishing and tasty when she's broke.

I love sour, so I always get Samba, but they have a great selection, and an educational sheet that explains all of the fruits they have available.

I love Brazilian juices, so when I moved to Seattle I was happy to find this place.  That was last summer.  I stopped going there last autumn because they had run out of most of their fruits (including my favorite, caju).  I will say that the staff was very friendly and willing to attempt my requests, including selling me two bowls of caju when they were nearly out.

I stopped by last week and heard that they are under new management, so hopefully they won't have the supply problems anymore (at least that is what they said).  Instead of a list of mixes they now encourage you pick what you want and also give you a choice of sweetener, so I can have a plain caju or maybe graviola sweetened with guarana.  I'd like to give them a higher rating, but unfortunately they do two things wrong in my book: they do not have cajá ('Spondias mombin'), which is even better than caju; and they serve smoothies instead of juices.  I guess I'm a bit spoiled by Samba Kitchen (in Amsterdam), where I typically down 5+ juices in a night and barely have room for dinner.  This is my favorite drink shop in Seattle.

My favorite smoothie shop by far! Stopped in on a simmering day in July during an outdoor music festival. The shop was small and the bowls were a bit pricey, but completely worth it. Don't try the safe flavors, try the odd fruits, caju fruit was delicious and tangy. I am definitely a health nut, and everything here was supremely good for you.

Healthy, unusual and tasty smoothies made with frozen fruit, water and a natural caffeine extracted from a berry. No yogurt, ice cream or other useless calories in these smoothies! No searching for the healthiest option, they are all healthy!

My only concern was the addition of the caffeine, which adds a sweet balance to often tart fruits. I'm very sensitive to caffeine. This didn't give you the crash and burn caffeine high similar to coffee, it was more of a natural high which then fades away gently. Good for late nights!

The unusual Brazilian fruits (most of which I would have trouble spelling or pronouncing) create unique flavor sensations which have you coming back for more. I tried a fruit that is a member of the coconut family that had a taste similar to lime chocolate. Yummy! So far I've tried the jungle fever and tropical overload combos - both tart, sweet, unusual and delicious.

The staff are friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and work quickly. The ambiance is friendly and comfortable. They even have free wifi!

Go check these guys out the next time you want a real smoothie and not some milkshake disguised as a health drink.

If you're going to spend $4 on a smoothie, this is the place to do it.  I dropped in for my first taste and was blown away by the exotic/newness of the flavors.  I had Acai and some Brazilian cocoa-like fruit.  It was slightly sweet, and tart, and exotic.  I don't really know how else to describe it.

I was hoping to find some fruits I recognized from spending time in Ecuador, but no such luck.  That's ok though as I'm enjoying trying out the  fruits I've never even heard of before.

The ambience is nice here too - if you want a place to chill out on the funky couch and listen to some music while you slurp your smoothie.
