I was very impressed with Acacia Salon. I have struggled to stick with one hairdresser for some time now. So I decided to give Acacia Salon a try. My appointment was booked with Marika and I was very satisfied! My experience with her was great! I was so pleased with the service and I left with a great haircut! I just wish the salon was a little clearer.

I was about to leave for vacation and I like many others, wait until the very last minute to make hair appointments. I was desperate! I called around to a couple different salons and wasn't able to get in. My husband suggested I called Acacia and I am so glad I did! They were able to meet my appointment needs no problem.
I met with Elyssa for a cut, color, and hair feather. She is super, super sweet and did a great job! I am a (graying) brunette and told her I am not a fan of red tones. She gave me a lovely dark brown with golden undertones - no red at all. The cut was nice. Basically a trim but unlike others who have cut my curly hair, it was even and showcased the curl.
I will for sure to back to Elyssa next time I need a cut and color. -

My dear boyfriend got tired of hearing me complain about my flat iron woes and my damaged hair, so he got me a gift certificate to Acacia Salon for a Brazilian Blowout.
My appointment was with Marika and she was wonderful; the whole thing took just under 2 hours. I absolutely love how great my hair feels and how little time it takes to do now.
Thank you, to Acacia (Marika) for doing it right! And, thank you, to my man for being thoughtful!Comment from Rene H. of Acacia Salon 4/19/2011

Acacia salon is absolutely the best. I have been looking for a new salon for the last 3 years after my old stylist moved. I booked an appointment with Megan and I could not be happier with the results! She listened to what I wanted and also added some professional input. My hair has never looked better and I can definitely say I have found my new salon!

RE: hair care.
You asked me to come try something other than the horrid eyebrow waxing. So I did: I went for a flat, straight trim off the bottom. I did my best to go with an open mind, as if this was the first time I'd walked in.
The stylist had weakly forced smiles, but my hair was indeed 2" shorter by the end. It was not a bad trim. A few times I tried to get a better look, to see if she was actually being as bitingly sarcastic as she sounded. But let's say that you don't trust my interpretation, it was still a damn pricey trim. I wanted to leave with wet hair, but she was crazy pushy that it /had/ to be dried.
The best I can say is that I presumably had the benefit of better maintained scissors. And if that's all I can say?
I will maintain my original opinion.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I love the whole experience of visiting Acacia. Everyone is so friendly and I never feel rushed. The whole process of getting my haircut is relaxing because the stylists take their time to get your input throughout the cut, not just at the beginning. It's convenient from where I live and I've never had issues getting appointments. I think I've found my salon...finally!

I recently went here after a bad foil at another salon. They booked me with Elyssa and she was awesome! My hair looks great and I felt totally comfortable with her. The salon is nice and I even had a cup of chocolate doughnut flavored coffee while I waited. I did have a bad experience with returning a product (the woman at the front desk was rude), but I complained to the manager and she was great about it. They have really good hours - they are open until 8pm on some days and open on Sundays as well. I would recommend this salon.

Most unprofessional salon I have encoutered. It is like a cackling bitchy coffe morning all the time in there. I sat and watched as this really loud woman (I think she worked there) came bounding in to chat with the other people who whorked there, everyone in the entire salon can hear their moronic conversatoin, I felt sorry for the client sitting there, hope her hearing wasn't damaged.
For some reason the people that work there think that everyone wants to hear their stupid conversations.. awful place, not recommended.Comment from Rene H. of Acacia Salon 8/29/2009

I've been going here for about a year now and I'm so glad I found them. They're open until 9:00 on weekdays which is a huge plus for me since I can get my hair done after work instead of trying to make time on the weekend.
I've only had one scheduling minor mishap that actually worked out better for me in the end so no complaints there.Comment from Rene H. of Acacia Salon 4/19/2011

I have had two Brazilian Blowout treatments here... Both have been great. I have a stylist for cut and color, but this salon has been really great for my specialized treatments. Great service, easy scheduling, great prices!!!

I had a *great* experience with Meghan --she did an updo and makeup for my wedding, and she totally nailed it (on the first try, phew! -- I was too lazy/busy to do a trial run). Every time I commented on how I wanted it to look, she practically finished my sentence like she was somehow reading my mind -- and it was perfect! She called it a "romantic" style which was exactly right; it looked delicate and I was worried it would fall out in an hour, but it totally stayed in place for over 10 hours -- even through some hard-core dancing! It still looked awesome after midnight. I had so many compliments on my lovely hair, which for me is unheard of! She was even able to put a large flower in my hair that I had brought.
The only reason I can't give five stars is I had a frustrating experience with payment -- I was expecting the very reasonable price that was stated on the website, but they tried to charge me more. To her credit, the owner of the salon refunded the difference when I requested, which was much appreciated, but they really should charge the advertised price from the start.
Summary: go to Meghan for your wedding up-do -- she's fantastic! (Thanks, Meghan!!) But be sure you check the price when you make the apppointment. -

Acacia Salon is FANTASTIC! I have 3 main things to say if you don't fel like reading the book I wrote below:
1. LOVE Acacia Salon. It's beautiful and the staff is really accommodating, friendly, and professional. They do a GREAT job!
Both times I've been in it's been pretty busy with pleasant conversation going back and forth between customers and staff. - I felt like everyone was really warm and welcoming.
2. I LOVE my Brazialian Blowout! Not only was it 1/2 the cost of what my friends paid ($175 - friends paid $300) but the staff were great about tailoring the treatment so that I got the best results for my hair texture. **HUGE PLUS!**
3. EVERYONE that stresses over their puffy/curly/kinky/damaged hair should get this treatment done! The results are LITERALLY life changing if you have spent the majority of your existence wishing your hair was easier to deal with.
- I live in Seattle but found them while I was googeling "Brazilian Blowout" - It was 3am and I needed an appointment later that morning in order to get my blowout before a last minute trip to Hawaii. The google ad lead me to their website where I was able to make an appointment online. The next morning they called to confirm and later that afternoon I got my blowout!
First of all, the blowout was only $175 (everyone I know paid between $250-$400, if they could even FIND someone in Seattle to do it) Second of all, I have mixed race/ thick, kinky, curly hair, so I was really hesitant to get my blowout from a salon in Snoqualmie, where I figured they rarely worked on clients with my hair texture. They were REALLY accommodating and when I asked, they even let me go over my hair with the flat iron myself so that I could get as close to my roots as possible (They were great but I'm obsessive about my roots...) That REALLY impressed me and I will be forever loyal because of it!
All in all, I LOVE my blowout! I'm now addicted and want another one ASAP! The Brazilian Blowout is the single best thing to happen to my hair since the flat iron. seriously. (I have and loved the Japanese straightening years ago and this is 1000x better!) My Curly/kinky hair is now soft and smooth (like "Caucasian" hair) and when I wash it, it's easy, manageable and takes less than 1/2 the time to style!
It MADE my Hawaii trip. I lived in Hawaii for years and have NEVER been able to enjoy it like I did this time around! The simple luxury of being able to swim and hang out without needing to THINK about my hair was priceless! I was in the ocean and chlorine pools several times a day for over a week straight and I've been back for 2 weeks now and my hair is STILL soft and wonderful!
THANK YOU ACACIA!!
