when it rains it pours. woke up this morning to a furnace that would not turn on, right after we discovered that we had some sort of water line leak, AND a leaking garbage disposal.
i called about 4 different companies, and 2 said they couldn't come out until next week. the other i had scheduled for this afternoon, but when Jose at Absolute said he could be here by 11am, i said OK!
He arrived early and got right to work checking out all my different issues, fixing the heater immediately, and offering helpful advice about how to fix water leaks (faulty sprinkler related), etc.
He fixed my garbage disposal, and when he heard some weird noises as the sink drained, he immediately offered to snake it. Normally that's $97, but said they had a special beginning next week for $73, so he gave me that deal. Pretty nice.
On top of that, he didn't charge anything for the repair on the furnace. he was here for about 1.5 hours, and fixed it all for $165.
This is huge because I was looking to skip work just to be present for repairs and am now able to go about my day without stressing about repairs and cost.
He didn't try to up sell and seemed like a pretty straight shooter.

We are very disappointed of our first services by Absolute Plumbing. Before our appointment, I emailed Jose the photos of the existing faceplate and faucet, he confirmed that is Moen model and he has them as their truck stock parts. However when Jose came for the job, he stated that he does not carry the faceplate as it is an expensive part, thus he cannot replace the broken faceplate for us. As a result, we paid for full service call but receiving only partial services in 10 minutes. Jose should have told us prior to his visit that we could purchase a faceplate beforehand. Now the broken faceplate is still there and this is a very unprofessional way to deal with clients.

Something stuck in our toilet. We called and made an appointment. The appointment time was 8 to 9. The estimate given was 125$.
The guy never showed up until 9:30. Finally he showed and gave the estimate as 165$. When I asked for 10% discount, he did not accept at first but finally agreed. He was finally able to take the object out of toilet but he would never allow me to see what he was doing. I wanted to learn it so that I could save the money next time by doing it myself. Anyways, the problem is, all the stains he left in the toilet bowl with the plumbing snake. The toilet looks horrible now. I wish he did a clean job or at least cleaned the toilet bowl after work. I wouldn't recommend this place. -

After the complete ineptitude of another plumbing company (check my last review) I found Absolute with high ratings and lots of them. They said they would be able to come within the hour but about 15 minutes later called and said they would have to come a little later but would definitely come. The man (Sean) called when he was on his way and was here a short time later.
We showed him the problem and told him the story of the idiots who made the situation worse. Within 20 minutes he cleared the drain and did what the other company couldn't figure out between two guys. Sean was very nice and respectful and the great Yelp deal they had saved us money. I would definitely go to these guys again and highly recommend them. -

I called for an urgent leak location service requested by the underwriters on a home we're buying. Jose was able to squeeze us in first thing the morning after I called. We were scheduled for 1 hour. He quoted a flat rate that was fair. Not cheap, but fair. Jose was 1 hour late due to a previous job running over, but he called to let me know.
My house presented some unexpected problems. First, my house is above average in size: 5700 SF, 2 storeys, 7 bathrooms, and difficult access to the yard. It took almost 30 minutes just to check all the fixtures and valves inside and out to make sure they were shut off prior to turning the water on. When he turned the water on, there was an irrigation pipe leak that had to be located and plugged before the house could be tested, and he had to call 2 other trucks to get the equipment he needed to do that plug up a 1" PVC pipe. Luckily, once that was done, the house turned out to be fine, without leaks.
But over 2 hours of work later, he came back with an invoice for the original price he quoted minus the 10% Yelp discount. I told him that wasn't right, and I gave him a little extra for the inconvenience and for putting 3 trucks off schedule for the day. Will definitely be using them again! Thanks, Jose! -

I wouldnt suggest these to anyone, here is why.
Going by the reviews here, 4 months ago, I called these guys to fix a leaking shower faucet. The guy showed up and suggested the whole fixture needs to be replaced (break the wall and fix it) and it would cost $400. I rent this condo from my landlady. So, I had asked him if he could fix it without breaking the wall. He fixed it OR claimed to have fixed it and charged my landlady $140. 2 months later the faucet started leaking again. I am not sure if he replaced the part at all.
Today my landlady got it fixed using another plumber and it does feel different and seems like the part has been replaced for real. There is no leak.
The 10% yelp 'discount' is a joke. When you call them, they will say it will cost you blah blah 'including the discount', without telling you first how much it actually costs and how much the discount is.
I am not sure why these guys have good rating here. Stay away. -

Experienced a backed up sewer main line that flooded my home office and entry way plus it was raining outside...no bueno! I spoke with Jose who sent out Raul, and even though it was raining, he managed to make it out to my home quickly. He was a very courtesy, honest and comforting person who knew his job very well. I appreciate everything he did with fixing the problem to educating me about plumbing to listening to my woes...what a great and genuine person.
Thank you Raul and Absolute Plumbing.

Who hasn't hired a plumber and fretted 'I BET he's gonna rip me off...SOMEHOW'....
Well, I have to say, Jose is a pretty honest, decent guy! We have a few rental properties and called him based on yelp reviews. The dude's awesome. A tenant was freaking out about a plumbing issue and Jose went over there the next day (he didn't charge me for evaluation and estimate!!) and 1) calmed her down, 2) talked to ME about the issue and not the tenant, 3) fixed the issue a week later and 4) the invoice was super reasonable.
He works w/ property managers so I think this company might just be my new go-to Plumbing company (and trust me, I've used ALOT of plumbers over the years).
Plan on hiring Jose to fix a broken shower issue at my own residence (that a handyman botched) sometime soon -
Thank you Jose for helping us (and for the 10% first time discount!).... -

Really, delighted with "Absolute." Jose just helped us with an emergency hot water heater replacement, and found us a $450 solution -- rather than the $1,100 solution proposed by the other plumbers in the area.
Jose was very honest, thorough, and efficient -- exactly what we were looking for.
Thank you, Jose! You have indeed earned all your wonderful ratings on Yelp. -

I'm about to write a raving review for a plumber I've never even met! I called with a plumbing leak in Escondido because of all the great reviews I've seen on Absolute Plumbing. Well they don't service Escondido!!!
Anyway, the guy who answered my call was kind enough to talk me through how to fix the leak myself. He told me I would need a Moen Puller, and even gave me the address of a plumbing supply place I could get it. He then gave me patient directions on how to use it to stop the leak myself.
There was absolutely nothing in it for them...except the positive karma received from being kind to another human being. A positive review is the least I can give these guys for all the help they gave me!! -

Didn't even have them come out because they said it was going to be 97$ to snake a drain!! Ridiculous! The plumbers we used before never charge more than 50.

I needed to have a kitchen faucet replaced and didn't want to deal with the hassle of removing the old rusty one. I called a week ahead of time to make a late afternoon appt. The person on the phone was quite nice and made the appt for 4:00 pm.
After the week past, I got a call at 10:00 am from the plumber. He wanted to come immediately. I explained that no one would be home until 3:30 or 4:00, which is why we made the appt. He said okay, he'll arrive between 3:00 and 3:30. I reiterated that no one would be home until 3:30 or 4:00. Right away, I knew the guy had someplace else he wanted to be.
When he arrived, my wife greeted him. He looked at the old faucet and told her that she didn't need to replace it - she could get a replacement head at Home Depot. She called to tell me this and I said, "I want the new one put in". He gave her some more grief about not needing to replace the faucet, and she called me again. At this point, were out $80 for the service call and the guy doesn't want to do the job. At my insistence, he does the job, occasionally leaving the house to answer phone calls.
When he's done, he writes a big note on the receipt to say that "they do not warranty parts purchased at Home Depot." He proceeds to tell my wife that they never know what condition the Home Depot parts are in. I don't disagree with the sentiment, but I wondered the motivation. I happen to know that this faucet was brand new, because I returned a previous open product and we checked the new one in the store.
Here's the kicker. A week later, I discover that a plastic sleeve in the handle is broken. Gee, I wonder who broke it? -

Great service. Already had a problem with a backed up kitchen sink; woke up this morning to a toilet with a bad ball cock. I'd already tried fixing the sink myself (chemicals, snaking).
I left a message at 7:30am and was called back promptly. Got an afternoon appointment scheduled with a 1-hour time window. Raul showed up within the window and fixed both problems. He was friendly, courteous, and efficient. He didn't make a mess, and gave me some maintenance tips (i.e., pointing out rusting bolts, etc). $150 for parts and labor seemed pretty reasonable to me for getting everything fixed. I'd definitely use Absolute again or recommend them to a friend. -

So courteous, and effective. Jose made time for our emergency (a main water supply pipe leak hidden in the wall) and even called in advance to say he was on the way.
The repair looks great, it's totally solid - a new copper fitting over the pipe, applied with a special tool, no soldering. Also, Jose was really helpful in advising us about getting the ruined vanity and sheet rock out ASAP to allow the area to properly dry before it's repaired. (Otherwise, not thinking about the risk of mold, we would have left the demo to the handyman to deal with when repairing the walls.)
Jose also referred us to mold specialists who can dry inside walls/floors/foundations and they came right away. (I think the name of the company is Quick Dry - they came for a free inspection and called the next day to check on us as well.) Great "team" to know about if you have major plumbing issues! -

This is my first time reviewing on Yelp. And quite frankly, I have a lot of other stuff to do. So, to take the time to sign up for Yelp and then write this, I must have received freaking amazing service. And that is indeed the fact.
After the beloved SD Water Department broke a water pipe coupling to horribly install their "new and improved water meter" at my house, they refused to fess up and fix it. For some totally strange coincidental reason, my water bill happened to suddenly increase to $500 immediately after they "fixed" my meter. Not their fault...uh, yeah right. I discovered that they caused a huge water leak. After waiting two days (without water) for them to finally even visit my house (though I was the first call in line), they finally came out and of course refused to fix it. Huh. Rad. Way to go City of San Diego Water Department. Not only did I have to deal with the fact that my water bills were now unjustly $500, I now also had to fix the leak they caused and pay for it! Ridiculous.
I called all the top places like Bill Howe and Anderson Plumbing. They all were unable to service me quickly (it was a Saturday on top of that, I mean, who on Earth works on Saturdays, riiiight?!) and if they were even able to, they were going to charge me a total of about $500 to $600, which of course included various nondescript "fees." Huh. Shady. They were nothing but circling sharks trying to exploit a situation.
Here enters Jose and Absolute Plumbing. I called Jose at Absolute Plumbing after finding his business mentioned on Yelp. He told me that he could be at my house within an hour. I waited about that long. I then called to find out when he'd be at my house. He answered and said that he was already outside working on it!! When I went outside, not only was he outside my house, he was already almost done!!
We chatted for a bit while he worked. He was super friendly. He got the job done well and quickly...fixing the shoddy work that the SD Water Department did previously. After he got finished, I expected to get bent over and receive a bill in the 400-600 range, like I was quoted before by the other vultures in his industry. Instead, I not only got charged about 1/5 of the other businesses, he also gave me a discount on top of that for finding him on Yelp. Wow. To say I was pleased and shocked in the positive way is an understatement.
In short, based on my experience...JOSE IS A NICE, HARDWORKING AND HONEST GUY WHO IS RUNNING AN HONEST BUSINESS. He is not an exploitative shark with situational pricing. He charges fairly and is MUCH cheaper than the other businesses out there. People like this are worth supporting. Please give this guy your business!! I highly recommend him. -

Most days I am convinced that strong work ethics and customer service are a thing of the past here in the U.S., then I meet a guy like Jose. Jose and his crew are the best at what they do. Quick service, reasonable pricing and they will answer all your concerns with expert knowledge. No need to call around anymore for a reputable plumber; just call Absolute and you will not be disappointed.

I signed up for yelp just to give this post. last week my renter gave me the happy news that his bathroom sink no longer worked. I am a single mom and money is beyond tight, so as you can imagine, I was dreading the expense of a plumber. I knew I was the perfect pigeon. I don't know shite about plumbing. Because of the reviews on yelp, I decided to try "Absolute" and I'm glad I did! Ten minutes on the phone with Jose and he had graciously explained how I could easily fix the problem myself. Another company who had heard the same description of the problem had said, "Well.., it could be a number of things...we'll have to take a look." (and probably a big bite out of my wallet).
Thanks Jose! You are my go to plumber from now on. -

Wham....Bam...thank you mam (or should I say sir?) ...fastest $180 I have spent in 10 minutes!
I needed a plumber last week to fix my shower handle. Darn thing didn't want to turn all the way towards the hot water, therefore I had to suffer through a cold shower! I don' t do well with cold showers so I called several different plumbers to try to come & fix it. I decided on Absolute based on how knowledgeable they sounded on the phone, reviews here on Yelp & the ease of making an appointment with them. They advised me beforehand that the water may need to be turned off & the job may take up to an hour. Luckily, they replaced my shower handle cartridge without any problem & I was able to get to dinner earlier than expected, YAY!
I really have no complaints about them! The following is why you should call Absolute next time you have plumbing problems...
*Hours 6am- 6pm...very convenient since I didn't need to take time off of work. Other places wanted to charge me "overtime"...yeah right!
*Knowledgable staff...I explained the problem over the phone & they knew what the likely problem was & what needed to be done. I called other places & they told me they needed to make an appointment to come look at my shower handle then they could make another appointment to fix it...that's ridiculous!
*Reasonable & reliable quotes...I paid exactly what I was quoted on the phone for parts & labor...no surprise charges!
*Timely: Plumber arrived right on time...I hate waiting!
*Friendly service
*Professional attire...no butt crack here!
*They love Yelp! They encouraged me to write a review! He did let me know that they were a small business. He gave me several note pads with their business name & logo which say "Loved by Yelpers" on them.
I would definitely call them again, but hopefully not too soon! -

After some bummer service with Bill Howe plumbing, I had to call Absolute and have them come and clean up the mess left by the previously mentioned plumbers. The rates were similiar ($92/hr) but the service and professionalism of Absolute Plumbing were waaaaay better!
Raul did a great job under my kitchen sink. He had good communication and skills, and he kept the whole job down to a reasonable price, complete with the ten percent discount they give to Yelpers. So far so good with all the work. I think you should give these guys a try! -

I know there are a handful of negative reviews for Absolute Plumbing but all I can say is that I am 100% satisfied with the service, professionalism and expert advice. We just bought a house that had roots growing into and clogging the main line. We have a home warranty company that we called but the plumber they sent out told us it wasn't covered by the warranty and that he'd have to charge us $2600 to tear up the drive way to access the roots. This fee didn't even cover repaving the driveway! We decided to wait but when Saturday arrived and we couldn't use the bathroom, I searched Yelp for a plumber that could come out on the weekend and found Absolute Plumbing. I explained the situation to Jose who thought it sounded like the line needed to be hydro-jetted and said he'd be there within the next hour for a flat rate (which was MUCH less than what the first plumber quoted). When Jose arrived 20 minutes later, he scoped the main line and found that it didn't even go down the driveway but ran diagonally through our side yard. If we had chosen the first plumber, we would have torn up the driveway for nothing at a cost of 7 times what Absolute Plumbing charged!!!! Jose also explained that the current equipment and technology doesn't require any plumber to tear up driveways, streets, etc. anymore. Jose had the main line cleared within 30 minutes and was such a nice guy - I just couldn't be more pleased with the service we received.

Update:
So these guys came out, they were very fast and friendly, caulked my bathtub faucet, ran a line to the ice maker, and were able to diagnose a drain problem and spent time trying to snake it to no avail (broken pipe).
However for the work to run a gas line into my laundry room, they bidded me 4x higher than another plumber who I had come out. The quote to fix the broken pipe was about $500 more than another plumber as well.
Their cost may be standard, but I can't afford them. So, I'm going to another plumber. I must say they were really nice and super fast, so I gave them 3 stars, because they were indeed A-OK.
--------------------------------------------------
I just got my internet up and running, so I checked Yelp for a plumbing/heating company. And, here was Absolute Plumbing with a Yelp discount! I have both a plumbing issue, and I need a gas line run into the laundry room. I have an appointment tomorrow...and I will report back then! -

I had tile guys replacing the tile in my bathrooms today, and while they were removing the toilets a leak started behind the shutoff valve. After frantically calling people to figure out how to shut off the water to my condo, I called Absolute Plumbing to come fix the shutoff valve.
They came in an hour and fixed the shutoff valve quickly and at a reasonable price, without any overtime fees because it's a Saturday. And he's coming back on Monday to fix the other list of problems I gave him. I definitely would recommend to other people. :) -

Jose was like an angel from plumbing heaven! I thought that a drain line was leaking and needed an expensive repair. Jose checked it out and said it wasn't leaking at all. He identified the real leak in about 5 minutes and told me that I could fix it myself with a $2 tube of caulk.
Aside from that money-saving honesty that I love so much, Jose arrived on time, was friendly and explained plumbing issues to me, and the price was fair. (And I have to say that I do appreciate a plumber that's easy on the eyes, like Jose!)
And if all of this didn't convince you that you should hire Absolute Plumbing, you should hire them because they have a clever logo. -

My experience started off a little rocky with the first phone call. Whoever I talked to seemed like he wanted to get off the phone as soon as possible. He didn't ask any questions about what I needed, just said they'd "try to be there between 11 and 12." When no one came or called by 11:30, I called the main number to check on my service. The person I talked to was really helpful and had Sean, the plumber assigned to my job, call me right away. He was nice on the phone and let me know exactly when he'd be there. He was apologetic about being a few minutes behind. He was really great when he came, very efficient and friendly. He even gave me a $10 discount for finding them on Yelp! Absolute Plumbing is affordable and Sean made sure the job was well-done.

Simply amazing plumbing service..
I've been traumatized by Roto Rooter, Rescue Rooter, and other similar plumbing companies who charge an arm and a leg for mediocre service with no care for keeping your house clean. It's been tough to find a plumber with the knowledge, skills, and equally matched dedication to speak highly of.. but look no further.. call Absolute Plumbing & you will not be disappointed. They will be my plumbing company from here on out, as long as I reside in the San Diego area.
They are professional, clean, great at their job, and they will go to great lengths to accommodate their customers. They communicate very well and their prices are great. If you go with Absolute Plumbing, not only will you get quality service, you get it at a great price. -

Had a really strange problem with the hot water--an older model tankless water heater, working fine. Turn the faucet all the way hot, and the water would stay hot forever. Try to run a shower or the sink warm/normal temperature range, and got only a few minutes of warm water.
This issue stumped my father in law, handymen, and another plumber. We were told it was a sediment problem or that we needed to repipe the house or get a new water heater.
Got Jose from Absolute Plumbing out to the house, and he had it figured out in about two seconds. It was a flow problem. A flow problem? He explained it patiently to me, then to my partner over the phone, and then he offered fast and sensible solutions--all for a very, very reasonable price. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Oh, and when he first got my call, he gave me an arrival time, called when he was on his way, and showed up on time. Absolute Plumbing is like a revelation. I highly recommend them. -

We had a shower that was backing up into our tub after a couple of minutes. Before calling Absolute Plumbing to snake my drain, I first tried Liquid-Plumr Gel and waited the 15 minutes it said on the bottle before flushing it with hot water. Unfortunately it started to back up into the tub after a couple of minutes of running water. After sopping up with towels the water that had backed up, I called Absolute Plumbing yesterday.
When Raul came out today, before attempting to snake it, he first tested the drain by running water through it for 5-10 minutes. Miraculously, nothing backed up....apparently, the gel had a much greater delayed reaction than the 15 minutes it had said on the bottle, and the clog cleared overnight.
I asked Raul what I owed him for his time. Raul, who is super friendly, said he wouldn't charge me a dime. I can't remember the last time someone made a house call and didn't charge anything. Given how friendly he was, that he didn't charge me, and how reasonable their YELP pricing of $60 was going to be to begin with I wanted to give a five star shout out to them. -

We thought we might have a slab leak in a home we had just purchased and were very concerned about finding someone who was both knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Because Absolute Plumbing was so highly rated on yelp, we gave them a shot and they didn't disappoint. Jose came out and determined there was no leak (despite another plumbing company who said they found moisture using a detector). Jose explained why there was no chance we had a leak and wouldn't allow me to pay him, even though he spent 45 minutes with us answering our various questions about when to repipe copper plumbing, etc. I feel so relieved to have found a great, honest plumber for the future.

These guys kick ass! I Yelped "El Cajon plumber" and these guys had rave reviews. I called around 920 Sunday evening, Jose showed up well within the hour I was promised, he did his magic snake dance and assured me it was just old pipes. They were the Absolute epitome of efficiency and customer service!

After finding them via Yelp, I called to have my kitchen sink fixed. He explained that I needed access to my lower units in my building, which I don't have. The phone person was patient with me as I was in a panic as my sink was flooding. He advised to call my building manger. Oddly enough, because of tenant restrictions I was forced to use another company. But when I called back to cancel my appointment, The guy from Absolute gave me additional tips and helped me choose a company to use that I was required to choose. This may be a strange review, but the type of service I received considering they didn't make a dime from me was outstanding! I was sad that I couldn't use them after all. I hope some else reads this and they can schedule another job because of my review. My karma is paid...
