quality fresh and frozen seafood.
SUSHI grade on many items
since i do a little catering, whether it is an intimate dinner for 8 or a party for 100 people, i always pick up my fish, scallops, shrimp, and other ocean delicacies from ABS!
i once sampled a live prawn here simply by taking off the head and popping it in my mouth like candy.
and oh how sweet it was!
don't worry i had permission from one of the owners, but i may get some hate mail now from PETA since i shared this story.
and no it's a different PETA the People Eating Tasty Animals... -

If I had known what I was going to get, I would not had purchased it. I seen it as a pretty good deal on Groupon. After delaying and buying my oysters, the each dozen oyster came out to be the size of a bag of M&M. My 3 dozen oyster came out smaller than a McDonald's bag.

They sell my beloved seaweed salad...in BULK!
It comes frozen in a big (holds 4.4lb) plastic container. Takes about a day to defrost in the fridge. -

Order through http://www.ilovebluese... and pick up your order the next day at the ABS Seafood warehouse (Illinois St. next to The Ramp).
Seafood is fresh, fresh, fresh. Prices are reasonable and staff is amazing.
I placed an order and was about to go to pick it up the next day when the phone rang. It was Jessica from I Love Blue Sea. Oops, so sorry there's been a mix up and we don't have the crab you ordered. I hope that doesn't mess your plans up too much. We'll be happy to cancel the order or substitute with something else . . .
I was a little disappointed, but ok with just figuring out something else for dinner when Jessica called back to say she phoned another supplier and will have my order in 15 minutes!
Jessica gets 6 stars for initiative, customer service and her smile!
