Dr. Chen has been my Dentist for several years now and he is by far my favorite. His staff is caring and very welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Chen and have referred him my friends and family.

Dr. Chen & his staff are just absolutely SUPERB! They go above and beyond the "standards" of excellent customer service!
I normally hate going to the dentist (I had a horrible experience in the past that had left me kinda traumatized) so I was a little nervous when I first was seen, because I literally hadnt been to a dentist in forever.
Alma, Omar, as well as other the other staff members made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. They really put my nerves at ease by letting me know that they wouldnt do anything until I was ready because they wanted me to have a good experience. I really appreciated that - it felt like they geniunly cared. They were also great to my daughter, who is 2, by talking to her and giving her stickers! Very nice of them, definitely a plus to me.
Dr. Chen was amazing. He explained everything he was going to do (even though I was only there for a cleaning) and then started the cleaning. A few teeth in, he stopped to make sure that I was okay and comfortable, which again - I really appreciated. He was friendly & very easy to talk to, not awkward at all. My last dentist was very awkward so I was relieved that Dr. Chen was a people person! :D
My daughter was also seen a different time for a check up and they were great with her. Very gentle - they never once forced anything on her. Instead, they very encouraging and positive the whole time! My daughter wasnt even afraid because she remembered them from the times she came with me & my mom to our appointments. Again, at the end of her visit they gave her stickers & a little easter toy, which totally made her day. You know what that means! Happy baby = happy mommy! :)
Over all I'm very happy to call Aborn Family Dental my new dental office and have/will continue to refer people to them because they're just wonderful! -

I actually use to work here in 2004. I had to LEAVE because I was in Medical school and I had to do my internship.
Dr. Chen, Alma (the front office), and Eve and the rest of the staff.
Are so great.
I've been in the dental feild for about 10 years and I've worked with so many doctors in different area's of the bay and this office is all about patient comfort, with great work ethics.
I work now and I hate to say this, but, the Dentist i work for is all about
money and ready to suck the life out of your Insurance at any cost, He is always raising is fees and always uses the cheapist materials possible.
Dr. Chen has done a couple crowns for me and made sure that I was happy and that the xrays showed a good fit, any other doctor would have seated the crown without even asking or double checking the xrays before seating the crown with permente cement.
My Husband is a patient and HATES the dentist, he had a really bad experience in the past and by the time he seen Dr. Chen he was in bad shape, He was treated so great he has forgotten the past and I can now actually get him to go now.
My 10 year old daughter goes also.
also my 75 year old grandparents.
I would say to anyone looking for General Dentist LOOK NO FURTHER.
Call them today and make an appointment and know you will be treated with kindness, respect and comfort ALWAYS. -

Dr. Chen and his staff are the best family dental care I've ever had. I've been to other dentists before and they don't compare with Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen has the most delicate hands such that your teeth do not hurt during a cleaning. I also like him because he reminds you to floss but is not pushy about it. Most dentists these days only care about making a profit, but Dr. Chen genuinely cares about the health of your teeth. He will suggest for a teeth deep cleaning when you need it, not when it's time on a set schedule.
The office itself is clean and comfortable. The waiting area was remodeled about a year ago so it has a modern look with a HDTV mounted on the wall for customers to enjoy.
I had moved away from south San Jose 3 years ago, but I still keep coming back to Aborn Family Dental because of their friendliness and excellent work. I hope to come back for a long time! -

This is a fantastic dental place! Dr.Chen is knowledgeable and such a friendly person. Like past reviews of him have stated, he genuinely cares about the patient and not the money. He always check if everything is going okay and if I am comfortable while he's working on my teeth. I've never felt rushed or had any bad experiences since he's been my dentist. The whole staff at the office is super friendly as well. Alma at the front desk is great! She is very much a sweet woman. I've always felt welcomed and comfortable whenever I come in for a visit. I'll have to say that I kinda look forward to going to the dentist now that I have Dr.Chen and his staff working in my mouth.

The reviews are 100% true! Aborn Family Dental is one superb dentistry. Dr. Chen and his staff are super friendly and they really do know how to put your mind at ease. This statement is coming from someone who needs a lot of work done. If you haven't been to the dentist in awhile and are worried about being judged or lectured at for not taking better care of your teeth, I highly recommend making your first appointment here. You won't regret it. And yes, I am looking forward to my next visit.

My family recently moved to CA and chose Aborn Family Dental from our insurance company's website. So, it was basically a shot in the dark. Well, let me tell you just how greatful we are to have found Dr. Chen and his staff! The office doesn't have any frills but is clean and nice. Alma, the receptionist, is awesome! She knows all the patients immediately, is extremely professional and polite! She is a great asset to the practice. All of the staff is great with children. My 3 and 4 year-old boys felt comfortable immediately and enjoyed their check-ups. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a Dentist in the area (even if not close to your home).
