My mom and I have been shopping here for years.
They always have a good selection of wine and liquors. I can always find something new to try. If I can't find it anywhere else in JC, I can usually find it here. If they don't have it, the staff can usually tell me when they will or offer to see if they can get it from their suppliers.
They have become my go to wine/liquor store when I go back to JC to visit family. -

Ok, Jeff City, here's the deal. You're kind of a sad little city. It's hard to find good groceries. It's hard to find bars with good drinks (TG's...*EPIC GAG*). If you visit a bigger city and you think, "Man, I wish we had more options like this in J-MO." Well, here ya go, Jeff City. Abiy's International.
AIW&L has just about everything your heart would desire. Not only will they supply you with a decent wine, or a good bottle of liquor, they will tantalize you with international & domestic beers you've yet to try or hear about. They also have a bonafide selection of reserve beers at a pretty decent price.
And the extra bonus? If you're extra lucky? The lead singer of Incubus will ring up your booze and chat you up with the greatest of ease. Ok, I'm *kind of* joking about that part, but the guy shows a striking resemblance and is always super nice and knowledgeable. I always leave with a big ass bag of beer in my hand and a smile on my face. Win!
J-MO, this is the kind of store you want to thrive in your city. It brings some flavors from the outside world into your Bud Light lovin' city. Heart!Listed in: Jefferson City (If You Have…

I enjoy this store. It's a nice thing to have a vast variety of booze in Jefferson City. Before moving to LA, I decided the best thing I could bring with me was a bar. Now wait... okay. Let me explain: I knew I would be working with drinkers. I knew I was a drinker. I knew my roommate was a drinker. Plus, I decided not to go out and drink while living in JC for the few months before heading out.
I enjoy making drinks, I enjoy meeting people and I enjoy getting people drunk. Win, win, win. I started with the wal-mart basics: crown, jack, jim. But then I wanted to be different. Have something people don't see. I can here one lazy afternoon and was so glad that I did.
They have an incredible selection (it shows in the price) of liqueurs and wines. It was fun for me to walk around the store seeing what bottle I deserved for not drinking all week. What wasn't fun was moving it all. -

Been to a lot of liquor stores with really brilliant selections and I can't with good faith say that this store is on par with any of those -- but, that being said, when I lived in Jeff City, this was the only shining star in a sea of darkness.
As far as I know, this is your best bet in J-town; probably better than going to a bar as well, there aren't many good ones... -

Abiy's has a great selection of beer, wine, and liquor.
Not the cheapest place, but certainly the best place to get your adult beverage in Jefferson City.
