Abitino's opened in 2011 and is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Their pizza is excellent, good chicken roll, good chicken parm hero and the salads and pasta bar are a great value. On the salad and pasta bar they offer many more free additional toppings then most place, the staff is always friendly and the lines move quickly. Solid pizza in the Columbus Circle area!!

I am definitely a pizza snob -- I have had some of the very best of it in New York and, then again, I've also had some of the very worst of it too. When I saw the reviews of the lousy pizza here, I was kind of hesitant to stick my head in there, but alas, I did. Judging by the reviews I've chosen (for the time being), to stay away from the pizza.
You walk in here and it does smell wonderful and makes you want to walk in to discover the source of the wonderful smells. It appears that their strategy of putting the pasta station up front is a good choice for them, whereas the pizza station is situated in the back of the establishment. The sauces and condiments for the pasta smelled wonderful so I've given those a shot and was pleased. I have also had the customized salads which were fresh and tasty.
They have nice and affordable combinations including a drink and your entree / salad and I am happy to have an affordable place to come to for a simple lunchtime meal.
For now, I will come back for everything BUT the pizza just to play it safe. -

I'm not a New York local but I've been here plenty of times to know what a great slice of pizza tastes like. This place doesn't have that great tasting pizza that one comes to NY to eat.
The cheese was weird tasting and their prices are way too expensive. -

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. There are no words to describe just how bad the pizza and heros are here. The pizza cheese tasted like refrigerator, the meatballs in my meatball sub tasted like they were a week old, were hard as rocks and tasted like stale breadcrumbs and rancid meat. I could go on, but why waste my time.. PLEASE don't be fooled by the pleasant interior of this place.. there are several other pizza places in the area that are terrific.. GO ELSEWHERE!
P.S. If it were up to me I would give it 0 stars.. unfortunately 1 star is the default. -

This place opened recently so I decided to give it a go. I went for the Abitino on a rosemary roll - prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted peppers & balsamic vinegar. I wanted to love it but sadly, I did not. It was edible but not worth the $8 I paid for it. Boo.

I've ordered from Abintino's quite a few times as the pizza isn't terrible and I can make A LOT of meals out of one pie. I also found myself in possession of quiet a few coupons (including one for 50% the first time you order through their website). The food quality was always consistent - not stellar, but not terrible.
The last time I ordered delivery from them, however, was such a horrible experience I will never order from them again. I ordered directly from their website (I usually use seamlessweb) so I could cash in my 50% off coupon since I was having people over for beer and a movie. An hour and a half later, only the pizza arrived - not the appetizers, not the snacks, and not the desserts. The delivery guy swore he had no knowledge of their being more to my order, despite having just handed me a receipt that stated otherwise. When I showed him the receipt, he just shrugged and maintained he didn't know about the rest of the order and I should just call the company myself because he wasn't going to. (It's been my experience in the past that when a delivery guy screws up, he's apologetic and immediately calls the restaurant to sort things out.) I called Abitino's and they told me the delivery guy had left and the rest of the food had never been made as a result, but they'd do it now and would throw in an extra dessert if I wanted. Fine. The final straw, however, was when the delivery guy came back and demanded more money. I tipped 20%, by the way - on the total after tax was added no less. He told me the extra money was for his friend who would be delivering the rest of my order. WTF? I was already planning on giving the second guy a couple of bucks because he had to fix his buddy's mistake and he got to my place with hot food in 20 minutes, but the arrogance of demanding more money just infuriated me. The food doesn't suck but it is in no way shape or form good enough to put up with that level of unprofessionalism. -

It is pretty safe to say I would not go to this place had i not received a coupon for a free pasta/personal pizza in that blue envelope that come in the mail. I am a total pizza snob, but have to say the meat lovers pizza was pretty good. In fact I am going to have the second half for lunch. The crust was crispy and good the sauce blah, but whatever the price was right. Actually, I think $9 is too much for what you get. The guys were all also really nice.
I will say that I do not eat toppings on good pizza b/c it takes away from the ability to judge the quality. I think I was right to order the meat lovers...
Will I go back? Yes with the two additional free dinner coupons I was able to round up. -
