Abilities United provides a lifetime of services to thousands of individuals with disabilities and their families in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Our services include Children's Development (Early Intervention, Milestones Preschool, Therapy Clinic), Family Support (After School Socialization, Computer Education, Respite), Adult Services (Day Activities, Community Connections, Independent Living Skills, Employment Services) and Aquatic Services (Wright Swim School, Rehabilitation, Recreation and Fitness).
History
Established in 1963
Incorporated in 1963 as a nonprofit organization by 12 families whose children had intellectual disabilities. It has grown to serve over 4,000 individuals and is an award winning organization, including having received the Palo Alto Tall Tree award in 2009 for outstanding nonprofit.
