I loved it here. I ordered the wrong tacos so the waiter gave me what I wanted on the house. Great service and food. I had the flauntas and two beef tacos thinking they were carne asada tacos. She came and gave me the carne asada tacos to try.

This is absolutely one of my two favorite Mexican Restaurants. Yes it is a "hole in the wall", however, they just expanded and it is a bigger "hole in the wall" that doesn't have as long of a wait.

    The hot salsa is amazing.

Besides having the typical enchiladas and tamales I have had the Carne Guisada Plate, Ramos Plate and Palo Alto Plate and they were all great original mexican dishes. My GF is big on ceviche, which they don't have, but they do have a dish called Tostadas De Camaron (shrimp tostadas) which is a good substitute.

This is the best Mexican food you can find in Oklahoma City.  Abel is normaly at one of the restaraunts and his extremely kind and nice.  You can find him by looking for the guy with the awesome moustache.

You must try the Tacos Cavillo.  You can get the normal tex mex and mexican dishes, but the tacos cavillo are out of this world.

late night this place closes the normal menu and becomes a taqueria with a huge wall for a menu.  Some of the best late night food to get your grub on at.

This is what "hole int he wall" "amazing find"  "I can't believe that place is so awesome"  was created for.  If you haven't been there.  Go.

This place is pretty good. The highlight for me was the green chile salsa  with the roasted peppers that comes with the chips. The red salsa was kinda runny, like watery. The chips themselves were average.
My dinner was good, I wouldn't call it the best of anything, but it was authentic enough and the service was good.
The decor was no frills. Don't go expecting much in the way of atmosphere, its family night out for the Tex-Mex feed. Pick your poison partner.

Went there today, after a recommendation from a friend about their menudo! He was right, great menudo! This menudo has great flavor a little spicy, and best of all it doesn't have the stinky "menudo smell." All the staff is really friendly! This is my newest place of choice, keep up the good work Abel's!!

In Oklahoma City, there are usually two restaurants that are voted "Best Mexican": Ted's Escondido (because some people love to stand in line for half and hour) and Chelino's (because some people need their iced tea in a cup bigger than their uncle's face). Here is the truth: Abel's Mexican Restaurant lives up to my personal standard (the tackier the decor, the better the food) and has THE best tacos al pastor in the city. They recently expanded so the place is still packed but there is almost never a wait. Service is excellente. Queso is face-dive worthy. You can get your horchata in a huge cup or have a Negra with salt and lime. Fresh mango with chile and lime for dessert and then hit up the Goodwill Thrift Store across the street when you are done. Also, if you see a chubby, furry man who asks you if you loved it and then says "If you didn't, it was this girls fault!" chuckles loudly and squeezes the shoulder of a fifteen year old hostess, then you just met Abel. Definitely worth driving to Warr Acres.

Awesome Awesome Awesome!  This place has tripled in size since the family moved here from California a few years ago and set up shop in little ole Warr Acres America.  The special sauce is a must have and the Tacos Cavillo are fantastic!  Puts Big Truck Tacos to shame.  The special menu after 9:00 pm (lasts until at least midnight) is just a variety of tacos which I can't pronounce but are quite authentic deliciousness!
