I would give them 3.5 stars purely on dim sum.

Their perks was that there were more dim sum being pushed around for more options. We were able to get our food quicker. They ran out of "Tofu fa" fast unfortunately. So sometimes it's best to get it the second time the lady asks you.

The beef steamed noodles were cold, but at least they had "Shiu Mai" for us this time.

We arrived here at 11:30 so there wasn't any waiting time but as soon as 12 hits, there was a sign up sheet.

this place wen dooooooown! It's been years since the last time I dined at this place. We use to come here almost every sun, but stopped after they raised the prices. From today I've noticed the remodel and the food was different.
    century egg porridge: too thick
chive dumpling: it's green now instead of white. Not much taste
sweet rice in steamed lotus leaf: not too bad
    shu mai: average
cow insides: daikon not fully cooked
pig feet simmered in red vinegar: salty
    $48 total for 4 people.

our waiter was quite rude too. If you want good dim dum try new hwong kok (near q cup) or the dim sum place next to pho kim long.

We had a luncheon today with co-workers.  Since the number of co-workers kept growing, I suggested that we go to ABC Seafood for dim sum since I know they can accommodate large groups fairly easily.

I have not been to ABC Seafood in while... It seems that they have updated their interior which is better than what it was before.

They also provide you with a menu to check off items and how many that you want.  I like the picture dim sum menu provided which helps those who are not familiar with dim sum to show what the items looks like.

Came here for a special event. Our number was called, our hostess walked us in but she didn'tknow where our table was, the busboy was still trying to clear the table, we had to stand while he setup our table. Saw him drop the chopsticks and wanted to put it back on the table, saw him drop the tea cups. We had to flag down the manager for new chopsticks and tea  or even a menu. I don't care how good the food is. If they are this careless about hygiene when patrons are standing by watching... Imagine what happens behind the scenes.

I have dined in here for both lunch and dinner for.... too many times; I can't believe that I have never posted a reviewed for this restaurant.

Most of the time I come here for their dim sum,  It's pretty popular in the South Bay Area. I liked their Minced Beef Congee served with the little donuts, Xiao Long Bao, and Shrimp Dumplings.  The wait isn't bad at noon time on the weekdays but recommend going early on the weekends.

I have also dined here for dinner a few times, all dishes were perfectly cooked with lots of flavors; price wise... pretty reasonable.

I would definitely come back here for more,

I came here for my friend's son's red egg and ginger party last Saturday. I've always seen this from the 880 freeway and this was my first time going there. It was fairly busy so expect a long line if you want to come here.

We were told to go into the middle of the room where the party was being held. They basically blocked the area off so there's no separate area for a big party. The food wasn't there when we got there a little after 11am. This was buffet style. The food was alright. I usually love shrimp with walnuts but for some reason, the shrimp tasted different. I think they just just put a glob of mayonnaise and that was it. The rest of the food that my friend ordered was fine. The plates were small so you can't put a lot of food so my friend and I had to get two plates.

One thing about this restaurant, the service there was very fast. Once you are done with your plate, they take it away right away. When the party was winding down, they cleared out the table to get it ready for the customers waiting outside. They were very efficient but didn't talk too much.

My friend has been here for dim sum before and said that it was good. Maybe one of these days, my husband and I should come back and try their dim sum. Though I don't know if we want to wait in that long line.

What happened? I used to love ABC. I used to dine here every other weekend once upon a time. The food here is so bad now. The dim sum dishes I ordered today tasted pretty gross. My shiu mai had a piece of crab shell that I bit into, shiu mai doesnt even have crab in it... The rice noodles with XO sauce had a small piece of old tasting salmon in it that I had to spit out, that dish definitely does not have salmon in it...

Also, they kind of changed their ordering style. The now give you a piece of paper to check mark what dishes you want. I thought this was better until they made it confusing by still having ladies walk around with the carts. No one came to take our order and we waited a really long time. Same carts kept coming around which was annoying since we already told them no.

Dim sum just doesn't feel like dim sum without those hot steamy carts! =( But another way of looking at it - the food is fresh when it comes out.  No carts during the weekdays, you order off a menu and they bring it out.  Services was fast.

-Beef Tripe with Ginger and Green Onion-Okay taste, not too much flavor compare to the ones made with black beans.
-Custard Bun with Egg Yolk Paste-YUM!!!  Be really CAREFUL when you bite into the bun as the custard ooozzzz out.
-Shrimp and yellow leeks rice roll - Good, like the extra vegetables on the side.
-Shrimp dumplings - Good, skin is soft and tons of fillings inside.
    -Chicken Feet - Good
-Deep Fried Taro Dumpling - YUM!  Deep fried and taro.. what's not to like.  A little mix of curry inside.

Parking can be a pain, so come early~

I understand this is dim sum, but it just took us forever to get any food today. It was difficult to waive people down to order food and get some napkins. The service was slow. When would ask for things and we were just uncertain if our request would be fulfilled.

Food is okay. I've had better dim sum but I've also had worse. My company was really good which helped out tremendously. I will go back but not when I'm super hungry or short on time.

They were however quick to bill us and pick up the check. That's one thing they got down without a problem!

This place is pricey..they don't have that many choices..but parents and i used to come here a lot. I heard they change management left and right and the food got disgusting..sad..but during all the times i've been here, it was pretty good..the only thing that sucks is that they don't always have a lot of variety..

i remember coming here and ordering like 3-4 items and the total came out to almost 30-40 dollars..really? wow..

i also came here for other occasions like bdays..nothing special..just dim sum..

The food was good. My favorite dish was the fried jalepeno fish. Sweet & crunchy. Also love this vegetable dish, I'm not sure what veggie it was but it was pretty simple and cooked with garlic. I took a star off because we ordered chow mein and it took FOREVER to come out. We were almost done with our dinner and it STILL WASN'T THERE. So we cancelled it. But i definitely loved the dessert.

I am from LA, I have high expectations for dim sum.  I came, I ate, and I was not happy.

We ordered the usual dim sum dishes.  Here's what was off about it.
Har gow: The skin was super thick and more chewy than usual
Siu Mai: The meat was fatty.
Chicken feet: It is suppose to be sauce, not paste.
Chicken Sticky Rice: The chicken or whatever mystery meat you claimed it to be was again fatty.

I think the really sad thing was those 4 dishes mentioned about are like the basics of any good dim sum.  They didn't even have Pu'er and Chrysanthemum tea.

Save yourself the trouble and go to Mayflower.  BUT I have heard good things about their dinner.

Been here a few times for the dim sum, mostly with coworkers for lunch. One good thing about this place is that you don't have to wait for an hour to get in like Koi Palace. Also if you happen to have the Prime passport, you get 20% off the menu.

Here comes the review for food.

The seafood porrige is solid. The rice is perfectly cooked to sticky infused with fresh seafood taste.

The rest of the normal dim sum dishes like shrimp dumplings, chang fen, shiu mai are ok at best. One common problem in all the dumpling dishes is their flour. It's kinda soggy and thick, and just doesn't have the thin and stretchy texture you would expect from a decent dim sum place.

There's obviously something wrong with the system at this restaurant. The two times I came here for dim sum (Sunday 11 am), we had to sit and wait for approximately 30 minutes before a cart of dim sum comes out.  I saw dim sum ladies serving dim sum to some tables by tray.  I started scratching my head, is there a piece of paper where we mark the dim sum we want? So, I asked the waiter and he said no, the dim sums will come out soon. And of course when they're out, it's like hunting for food.  I literally had to stop a cart and ask them what they have in their cart.  And it's not like they're short staffed. You're open for business at 10 am, don't tell me you start making dim sum at 10 am.

If it weren't for the chicken feet, I would of given this place a 2 star. Yes, the chicken feet is that tasty. YUM!

Dim Sum lunch ends at 3:30 so try to come early. I eat the basic items like chicken feet, shu mai, shrimp dumplings, shrimp balls, and a few I can't name because I normally just point to what I want or say yes haha.

Super inexpensive and I never have any complaints about this place.

I attended a wedding banquet here a few months ago.  Here's what I remember:

    Cocktail hour:
Skewered chicken, shrimp balls and dumplings.

    Dinner:
    Peking Duck with buns
    Abalone
    Baby octopus
Sea bass - My favorite, it was buttery deliciousness.
    Lobster
    Shark fin style soup
    Fried rice

The platters just kept coming.  It was a great evening spent celebrating with friends. Congratulations!

I went with my best friend to eat dim sum here.  We got there around 2:30, almost to closing and ordered 7 plates.  It took awhile for the food to come out, but it was understandable since we were a little late.  I think the dim sum here is very oily, especially the shrimp balls compared to other dim sum places.  the only plate that i was satisfied was the flour cake.  It was very crispy and that's how i like it.

I tried chicken feet for the first time, and I didn't like it. I don't think it's the place though, but compared to other dim sum places, their chicken feet here is bigger so if you guys are into chicken feet, that's something you'd might want to get.

I was not satisfied with the customer service. I understand that they were closing soon, but I don't think they should have started vacuuming in the middle of people's late lunch. I thought that was rude and I didn't even want to finish my food.

Came here right when they opened on Sunday and was obviously empty. After we got seated a lot more people started to come. Gets crowded, so come no later then 11.

We came here for dim sum obviously, and it was pretty good. Shrimp dumpling (4 in each order) pretty big too. Loved the shrimp rice roll (my favorite!) and my family loved the chicken feet here. 3 must get when coming here.

Parking lot is kindof small but there's a lot in the back plus you can park on the streets.

Prices for the dim sum are reasonable.

Service well eh. You have to be loud when asking for something. Meaning its kindof hard getting their attention. Don't come expecting the best service.

Came here on a Sunday with my boyfriend and his parents for dim sum. We were expecting a wait, but my boyfriend and I managed to get a table pretty quickly. It was relatively busy (came around noonish) but this was a huge place with tons of tables.

This place has pretty good dim sum. There's good variety and the food is done relatively well. They are surprisingly expensive for a Chinese place though. We had har gow, shu mai, lo mai gai, chicken feet, crispy noodles, BBQ pork buns, steamed pork ribs and some other plates that I don't remember.

The food is good. Well done, cooked well, steamed stuff wasn't over done, one of the first places that I can eat chicken feet (some places do it TERRIBLY). The noodles were all done perfectly. Super tasty; the crispy noodles were done with the right texture and not overly saucy. The lo mai gai was the right mix of ingredients; the other fried noodles were also a great mix of seafood and veggies.

The drawback is that this place is the stuff other than the dim sum takes a while to get to the table. My boyfriend's mom was a little peeved that we pretty much finished our meal and the noodles hadn't come out yet.

It is definitely a huge place which seems great for parties and I can see why people have weddings here (my boyfriend's cousin is having her wedding here too). Would be interesting to see how they do a banquet. Still, this place is expensive, and I've definitely been to better dim sum places for the price. The food is good though, so you can't really go wrong!

my first reaction when I left this restaurant was that I regret going in.

It is not my first time dining here. However, it has been a while since the las visit. My friend insist to try again so we went.

We got there around 12:30pm on Sunday and we got a table for 2 immediately. That should be the first sign that we should have left.

    Here's the list:
    1) Beef meat ball - still pinkish and does not have meat texture....mostly contain some other ingredients.
    2) Daikon cake - cold, the piece like a 1"x3"x3" floor tile. Again, mostly contain more flour than daikon
    3) Melted egg yolk bun - outside skin was tough, I had to peel it before I can eat the bun. After a while, the outside skin became hard and I hit my friend with it.
    4) chicken feet - it was OK
    5) couple other dishes with schrimp and I couldn't eat them

Service was OK except one guy really sucked. He looked away when I signaled for more tea. Very limited food.

That's it for me to give them business.

We came here for a Company Dinner once on a weeknight, so no one was there. It was literally empty, other than one other table with a family eating, and a table where the restaurant chefs were eating.

It's a pretty huge venue, on the top floor with lots of space. I guess I can see why people have wedding dinners here. The waiters/waitresses were nice. They even gave us free desserts at the end! Three types too! Wooot!

The food was pretty good standard Chinese food. We ordered so many dishes...I honestly don't remember: two types of lobsters, pecking duck, sweet and sour soup, tofu dish, cold appetizer dish (with seaweed, cold meat, jellyfish...), ...basically LOTS of food! A lot of them were pretty good!

I've also wanted to come here during brunch time over the weekends, but it gets so packed. The last time a few friends wanted to grab dimsum here, the wait was over 40 mins, so we decided to find another place to eat. I think it'd be good to come back and try their dimsum!

This place was hard to find.  It seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. However, it was located in a small block, or strip mall.  It is located on the 2nd floor in the center. Inside is nice and fancy. I was here on April 29th, 2012 for a wedding reception as part of the decoration crew and bridal party. The set up was impressive. The staff, however, were somewhat domineering when it came to where to set up the wedding cake. They insisted it should be on the stage and there was a small, almost argument, like they didn't want to listen, however, there was also a live band that was going to need ALL of that space.  Besides, it should be the wedding party's (Bride & Groom's) decision as of where the cake should belong. Decorating the ceiling was not as easy as we thought it was. But we improvised and everything worked out fine. Just wish the room wasn't so oddly shaped, but you gotta work with what you got.  The food was good, especially if you like seafood. Gave it 4 stars because it looks nice, and is large enough for a large group like ours.

I have never had DimSum until my friend took me here. I wouldn't know the average price to eat DimSum but I thought this place was fair. I just kept grabbing food because they just kept bringing me food until I was full. Their Seaweed and Jellyfish and their Shrimp Balls were amazing! and the sauces that came with it too! I went during lunch and it got pretty busy after 11:30. The place looks really nice and I would definitely come back here again. Only been here for dimsum. Food here is okay, sometimes it's lukewarm... Not my favorite and a little pricey for Milpitas. I wouldn't come here compared to the many options around here.

Seems like a good place for a banquet (but Dynasty is way nicer). Pretty spacious and they have retractable doors so you can alter based on the size of your party.

I came here for a wedding reception and it was OKAY.
The food was OK, we had 5 girls and 5 boys sitting at our table, and lets just say the food disappear. It wasn't because it was delicious, but the portion size is a little small compare to other Asian wedding receptions I been to.
The restaurant was nice, and it seems like they took care of the restaurant pretty well. We were seated near the windows, so we had the view of the whole place. Also my friends reserve the bar area for open bar, so that was pretty cool the restaurant allow that. However, parking lot was a little small, so good thing we came early, but we still had to park all the way in the back.
The dance floor at the restaurant is a little small for all the events taking place, so it just looked like a crowd of people on the dance floor the whole time. So it didn't look organize at all, even though it could have been.

I had my wedding banquet here and the food here was THE BEST wedding banquet food ever! Frankie took care of us and made sure everything was perfect. We set-up for the party the night before and he actually stayed with us till well after closing. I also love how the interior of this restaurant is modern looking and not so tacky like other Chinese restaurants.

I will be having all of my family parties here from now on.

    FOOD:
The Sea Bass is a MUST for the banquet. Shark Fin soup was amazing!! Also the  Chow Mein Noodles with mushrooms was the best I ever had. Their fried rice is studded with scallops, shrimps and asparagus...sooooo freaking good. I wish I can eat their wedding banquet food again! The lobster was cooked perfectly and cut into bite size pieces...If you are considering planning a special event here. DO IT! I am so glad I did my party here. I would throw a party here every month if I could LOL...

Everything was perfect and the food was out FAST. We love this restuarant and dont know why it only has 3 stars!! Maybe dim sum is 3 stars but Banquet food here is 5 stars.

I've had a long history with this restaurant. Used to work at the foster city location as a hostess (ancient history) and was acquainted with the Lin family who owns it, the three sisters, the wife, the original owner (who died) and the his sister. I can tell you stories. That being said, I know the restaurant discriminates against different customers. They treat their frequent visited customers much better than the average person just walk into the door, not sure if that's a common practice in all Chinese restaurants.

I haven't been to ABC for years. Recently I came here with some friends for Dim Sum and was sorely disappointed. The food quality wasn't what it was when I worked here and there was a wait. The dim sum people were kind of rough also when throwing down the food, which I know the management hated. no free tea, I supposed I could toss out some names and get us the free tea, but I didn't feel like it.

Last weekend, I came here for dinner. I only agreed, because my in laws said they know the manager well. Remember I said they discriminate customers? Their favorite customers are Cantonese people who go there a lot, which my in laws fit the exact profile. My in laws also had a party for my niece's birth here, so they've thrown down some good money at this place. As soon as we sat down, the manager spotted us (check) and came over to take the order (of course). I wanted to order the frog and the manager recommended against it (check, yes, if they know you, they'll tell you what's not good). Service was good and food was tasty (check and check). The live fish we got was jumping up and down in the bowl when it was shown to us before cooking. We even got a big selection of dessert afterward, all on the house. My husband and I both got mango pudding and my in laws got some other stuff (I don't understand Cantonese). Although the mango pudding wasn't very good, a bit powdery.

One thing to note is that we found a piece of steel wool in the food, but my in laws didn't want to mention it to the manager. I'm sure the restaurant would have taken the order off of the bill; I don't know what's the held back. Afraid they'll spit in your food the next time?

Things really haven't changed a lot since my days as a hostess at ABC. The dinner experience definitely makes me want to come back, but then my husband and I fit the profile of people tends to be cheated. I don't speak Cantonese and my husband is ABC who can't speak Chinese. so yeah, maybe come with the parents.

    MEH... not bad... not great...

I came here with two other people on a Sunday for dim sum, and surprisingly, we were seated very quickly.

We ordered a bunch of the typical dim sum dishes, and I wasn't very impressed. Everything was either just ok or worse, so even with a 20% discount, I'd say this place was a little overpriced.

One thing that stuck out to me was that we had specifically ordered preserved duck egg and pork porridge, but that's definitely not what came out. We somehow seemed to have gotten fish porridge instead, so we flagged down the worker who took our order and she quickly and kindly fixed the mistake. I was really disappointed with the porridge because the egg was ridiculously hard and the pork was terribly dry.

Overall, this place isn't what I expected it to be. At least I got my chrysanthemum tea though... Can't really mess that up.

Came here for dim sum and it was a disappointment because I really like their dinner menu. Their siu mai was dry and everything else just didn't have flavor. Guess better luck with other dim sum places.

This is not a bad place after all.  Spacious and good for large groups. The dimsum and the crab noodles was good but the delicious part of it wall was the chicken feet.. Yeah chicken feet and beef intestine too. :)
For the off beat days when I feel like eating escargots I think chicken feet can at ABC will do the trick

came here for some dim sum with some co-workers pretty good i'd say. I just hate when my had gow's come out mushy it worries me when i think the seafood is not fresh. It needs to have some bite to it and not melt in my mouth. The white casing should be slightly chewy and not thick. That's all i ask for? I hate having to drive to SF to get my dim sum fix sigh!

Food was fresh as can be. Really enjoyed this place, perhaps I was just hungry because I just got off the flight from San Diego, but either way, the food and service were perfect.

The dum sum was very fresh, as if it were cooked per order.  The duck was perfect, crispy skin on the outside, and succulent inside.

I would definitely go back without hesitation.

Came for dim sum and ordered the Century egg and pork congee, chicken feet, shu-mai, sweet tofu pudding.  All of it was pretty tasty.  The decor is also very nice and modern for a Chinese restaurant.  Tables near the window get great views of the nearby rolling hills.

I have been here twice since I came to Norcal. I think the dim sums are just okay -taste. But really I like the seaweed salad, and I like the sweet BBQ buns. For people who eat dim sum frequently would probably give a so-so rating, however, I think they are good to me already. I don't usually eat dim sum so I don't really know what's good and what's bad. But I think the service is quicker than other dim sum places that I ever been.

The reason for fast service is that because you can just mark what you want to order on a paper that has list of dim sum dishes available. Waiters and waitress there are nice. But I would say you probably want to bring someone who knows how to speak Cantonese or Chinese there with you since they always ask you if you want something in chinese which kind of scare non-chinese-speaking people away somehow.

My boss is a vegetarian, and I found that some dim sum dishes that seem vegetarian( by the names) contain meats, and I think my boss will probably not go there next time since first he does not speak chinese and second he is probably don't know how to ask if the dishes contain meats since most of the waiter and waitress don't speak English very well.
