How can I put this? Let me put this in an open letter format.
Dear ABC Pizza,
You were there for me when it was late night, and you had pizza, that delivered out to Watertown. You were on Foodler and you also were going to give me foodler bucks as a rebate. The guy that delivered it was a nice friendly fellow. The 2 liter bottle of coke I ordered was still cold
Those are the reason you are getting 1 star.
I ordered a pizza. Lately I've been on a kick of Pepperoni, Jalapenos, and Ricotta Cheese. Sadly, Gerry's Italian Kitchen doesn't put Jalapenos on there pizza so I haven't ordered from them in awhile. Also Boston House of Pizza was closed, so I did not have them as an option, so I tried you. I wanted you to come out and impress me with your simplistic ABC like Pizza.
First, the pizza. When you have the option of hot peppers, one thinks for pizza, sliced hot peppers, not pepper relish. I like me some pepper relish, but not on pizza. The Ricotta was spread so thin on the pizza and IN THE SAUCE that it caused the mozzarella to not stick properly to the crust. I like greasy pizza, but I also like greasy pizza with flavor.
Second, I have only purposely inhaled the smell of pita bread once, and that was "Oooo...fresh pita bread, oh it smells awesome.", this wasn't the case, but I'm going to get to that
I ordered an Antipasto salad. The Ranch dressing tasted like straight up mayonnaise. The last time I liked regular mayo on my salads I was about 8. That was a couple of decades ago. Thankfully I only dipped things in the ranch and didn't spread it on my salad. The tomatos tasted mealy, the cucumbers were limp, and the lettuce was, eh, lettuce. I got to teh pita bread where it looked like a corner of it was BITTEN OFF.
I was skeptical, so I looked at it closely and I sniffed, and my years of making sandwiches, and some of the other markings on the pita bread when I opened it up... you might have ripped off a piece that may have had MOLD ON IT.
So, in the end, I can't fault the guy that delivered it. He seemed like a pleasant fellow. I can't fault the Coca-cola company because there bottles now have polar bears on them, and I like polar bears even though they'd eat me if I was ever near one. I can't fault foodler, as I got a great amount of foodler points and foodler bucks for trying you out.
I can fault my need for pizza at 10:30 pm, and from that I will learn not to order from ABC again.

Loved the pizza- they deliver late and come with a hot fresh buttery crusted Greek pizza in hand. A+ in my book!

ABC is right next door to one of my favorite places- the Cantab! I love the steak bomb and the french fries are awesome. Pizza is a little meh, but not awful.
The service is friendly and the place isn't disgusting. Trust me, I have been there a lot and have never experienced someone rude or a rat. -

This place is kind of a dive, and at late nights the customers there are kinda shady. But I like this place a lot. The prices are good, service is friendly, and the food is fresh and decent. I love the $7 cheese burger fries and drink combo -- it's very well done. I would rate this place higher than Four Burgers next door.

Yeah the place is dirty and weird and small.
Cheese Pizza = $1/slice, $8 for large.
It tastes pretty good too, and they have that spicy Chinese red chili sauce to put on it which I think is novel.
I don't recommend the sandwiches because they are dilapidated, and sad.
The guy (owner?) is ALWAYS in there watching whatever on TV is currently the absolute weirdest, but fuzzy and on a tiny set perched on top of the Coke cooler.
You're better off turning around and checking out the other customers who come in to chat with him and make requests like "I'll have a meatball sub, light sauce, and a whole sausage."
He doesn't bat an eye.
Overall the service is very fast, and he is extremely friendly if you're nice to him.
Not a date joint, unless you've got a real twisted sense of humor. -

I used to stop in here pretty regularly, but only when I had a craving for a mediocre sandwich. They do those pretty well here. In particular, the roast beef sub isn't half bad, but the steak and cheese sub can range anywhere from passable to nearly-inedible due to the fact that their meat is sometimes extraordinarily gristly.
The pizza here is nothing to write home about, although I'll admit that I'm biased since I hate Greek-style pizza.
The guys who work here are actually really nice and will go out of their way to help if there's something wrong with your order (within reason), and they just give the place a nice vibe. And maybe that's why these little sandwich/pizza places are sometimes the ultimate comfort restaurant for me: I just love the friendly/gruff vibe. Maybe it comes from years of eating street food in Philadelphia. -

This is after-bar food the way it ought to be! Dirt cheap and basic in your face! The crust is flavorless, but crunchy, and it's damn cheap!
I ordered a pizza for delivery and it came as fast as the 15 minute delivery time I was quoted. I'd order again, because you know what? It was $11.75 for a large with three toppings. By the way, I think ABC stands for the number of toppings they have available (as in, ABC 1-2-3). In other words, *I got a pizza with virtually every topping they have for $11.75.*
I'd order here again. Not when I want gourmet pie, but when I just want some truckin' pizza. -

I'm not sure why this place is getting such an average rating, the pizza is really good.
Just stopped in today since I had a craving for pizza at lunch. My coworker recommended the joint based on an eggplant parm sub she had here a few weeks ago that was delicious.
I got three slices of pizza for just over 3 dollars? Ridiculous. I think the crust is pretty close to my ideal pizza crust, crispy on the outside, but still nice and doughy tasting inside. Good sauce, good cheese, nice and hot...I have nothing to complain about.
Except for the fact that I just found this place now, and I'll probably gain 10 pounds if I start going here on a regular basis. Definitely a good place to satisfy your pizza-tooth and your wallet at the same time. -

What would you expect from a place named "ABC Pizza" huh?
Your average hole-in-the-wall pizza place that serves the usual greasy pizza and related fare. A place to go when you are wasted and can't tell the taste of the pizza from the cardboard.
p.s. maybe not the place for the very hygiene oriented and fastidious -

Dingy, dusty, usually Coke on the floor and crumbs on the oily tables, but I almost always stop here for a $1.50 slice of cheese before taking in a show at the Middle East or TT's. There's the same kinda sad but friendly guy behind the counter every time I go, and you never know what will be on the tiny TV on top of the drinks fridge. Last time it was wrestling. If what's on the TV isn't to your liking, though, you can always watch the drunk's heated debates on the benches outside. I love Central Square.
As for the pizza, I like it cause the crust is crunchy. Beware the pepperoni, though. While they pile pieces on, it's really oily and has a kind of sweet flavor that turns me off. Never had, and probably never will have, a sub here. It's the kind of place you get in and get out, lest the depressing atmosphere overtake you. -

I had heard that this place was "surprisingly good" for the shabby exterior. I have always been of the opinion that it's what's inside that counts, so I decided to check it out.
The prices have gone up because my slice was more than $1. It was still cheap-ish and very quick. The pizza was a little small, but fine; good sauce-to-cheese ratio. However, I was pretty disgusted by the fact that the woman behind the counter used the same unwashed, ungloved hands to pick up my pizza slice (from a platter resting on top of the oven) as she did to handle my money. Thanks to her, my germ-paranoia was ignited and my decent slice of Italian-style pizza just looked like a festering bacteria pit.
Yes, I'm being paranoid, and I ate my slice with minimal grumbling, but don't we have health codes for this? -

With an amazing name like ABC Pizza - its not exactly like you expect hand tossed pies and freshly chopped ingredients. However, tt tastes like the pizza might be frozen - seriously. Granted, I had started having beers about 10 hours earlier in the afternoon, so perhaps my culinary expertise was not at its peak, but I'm just sayin!
Well, I can't be too judgy - they were open, they served me food, it wasn't too expensive. I can't imagine actually eating here if it wasnt 1:30 in the morning.
I am sad they took down that poster for I Love You Man that was in their window for like a year even well after the movie was out of theatres. It always made me laugh when I walked by, even if I had no plans to actually eat there. -
Review from Julie A.
If you go to ABC Pizza, you will get a flat, round piece of cooked dough with red sauce and cheese, sometimes other stuff if that's what you want. Oh, and a lot of grease. Grab some extra napkins.
ABC is not fancy, but it gets the job done.
Until Central Square gets a new pizza place (Il Panino, I never thought I'd say this, but I miss you!), it'll do. -

The old saying is that sex is like pizza- even when it's bad, it's still good. ABC pizza may well have put me off sex for good.
The dirty, sticky floors and tables give you a good indication of what you're in for. The pizza itself is almost inedible. Overcooked, thick, crunchy crust, flavorless sauce, and gooey, sub par cheese.
Look, when the word "pizza" appears in the name of the establishment, it's really important that the pizza is good. And they blew it. -

I finally decided to actually go in again and try the pizza one day for lunch. The place didn't smell like Christina Aguilera on her dirrrrty tour like it did the first time I went in so that was a plus. Unfortunately the two slices of cheese pizza I got were just flavorless and overcooked. I love pizza so I was more disappointed now than when I found out Santa wasn't real.

Waltham, MA
Don't judge a book by its cover. Granted, ABC will never appear in ELLE Decor, and the last major renovation probably occurred before I was born, but the food is still decent enough for a quick lunch on the go. Decent subs, friendly staff and cheap pizza is what you get when you walk in the doors. The salad with chicken breast and feta is always a safe choice, as is the chicken cutlet.

So the ready-made pizzas are not excellent, but they do the job. What I really really love is the ones you can custom order. I once ordered a large garlic-chicken pizza, and it was unbelievably off the chain. Was surprised. I'm a fan!

Review from Tom M.
Dorchester, MA
Gourmet? No. Great atmosphere? No. Well dressed young waitstaff? No. Really good, cheap, fast pizza? Yes. Not sure what all these folks dropping the negative reviews are looking for, but odds are they're not things you'll find in any small, storefront, pizza joint. If those are the things you're looking for, go a bit north on Mass Ave and pay double for less.
