Oleg has fixed four computers for my family. All perfectly and for much less than expected. Great work, good service!
I am not a newbie, but was very impressed with the thoroughness of the knowledge and the ease of explanation
Good people deserve our business! These are the good people!
Unfortunately some of the work has failed soon after. Not necessarily Oleg's fault, but life has no guarantees, but some sympathy would have helped, instead of a shrug of the shoulders., therefore I've dropped him one star. -

STAY AWAY
I took in my computer because it was freezing and I had an inkling it was the hard drive so Oleg tells me it's the motherboard and that I should just get a new computer. I go in to pick up the computer and he tells me it was a software problem instead and charged me $75 to get rid of "errors on the hard drive." After hearing that I would have to get a new computer, hey I was happy to only have to spend this much. Take it home and it's freezing still, so I take it in and he says now it's a hardware problem. So I buy a new hard drive have him clone the old one and put it in an incasing all for another $85. So I have now spent $220 and he didn't refund me for "fixing" the old hard drive because according to him "it was pretty messed up." So I'm glad to just have my computer back......but wait there's more, it's still freezing. I took it back and they tell me it's probably a program that I'm using. So they charge me $160 not to mention the $80 dollar hard drive I had to buy and now that it's still freezing they tell me it's a program I'm using!!!!!!! I implore you to find someone else, anyone else to fix your computer.
*LONG AND SHORT OF IT* I had to take the computer in three times, spent $220 dollars, and they didn't fix a thing. -

I find that many of the storefront computer service places are run by youngish nerds who find it mirthful that an old geezer Luddite like me cannot deal with modern technology. That attitude tends to turn me off, and that attitude you will not find at ABC Computers.
The owners/operators of this mom and pop business are a married couple in their early 50s from Moscow. They both are graduates of the USSRs best and most prestigious engineering university. They have been working with the most advanced computers since before most of the nerds were born. This is a quality operation; no one "wings it" here.
Oleg and Natalia share watching the store while the other does home or business calls. This is a full service operation. And if you have a kaput laptop and are in a hurry, they will fix it in front of your eyes while you want and watch in wonder. That was my problem.
The bill. I walked out paying on third of the price quoted to me by a nearby nerd. Not only is this a quality operation, it is a deal.
One can say with feeling that Russia's loss is very much San Pedro's gain. -

Oleg set up a new modem and did a good job.
He then took my PC back to the shop to upgrade the memory & browser and said he would also do a virus scan. I asked if I needed that since I have the ISP provided security suite, he said yes, (what do I know?) When I picked up my computer I found why I "needed it", he charged me $100.00. When I asked why so much he said the software alone (which he had installed & I never asked for) had cost him $50.00. I later researched it and found that the software is available as a free download. When I later questioned him about this he said to bring the computer back and he would take the software off and put the viruses back, he's a real charmer. He also cleared out my recycle bin, where I had files that I did not want erased. He never did the browser update. It's the kind of business I want to support, I even had a 10% discount I could have used but did not, but sorry I have to say NEVER AGAIN again for me!
