Review from Laura D.
New York, NY
(Sigh) it's closed. I spend a week every summer on the Cape, and my birthday happens to fall in this time. My personal tradition was to have dinner that night at Abbicci, as it's my absolute favorite restaurant on Cape Cod. i loved that it was off the beaten path, the cute yellow house with aged wisteria that looked Cape cozy and contemporary at the same time. The renovated decor wasn't that important to me, in fact I liked it better before, but I did love the menu. I could always count on an interesting, delicious meal. And I had the best Riesling there I've ever had. The service was always gracious, and the atmosphere soothing. Now I don't know where I'll go for my new birthday tradition. I will certainly miss this place.
Addendum: A restaurant called Lyric opened up in it's place and is equally as good - if not better. They had a fabulous menu, live piano music, and even accomodated my 1.5 yr old. Same exterior and interior decor as Abbicci. The owner said she didn't change a thing when she bought the place. They still have that annoying valet parking though. -

This place was hard to find. I live on the cape and still what a pain. But ever hopefull for the reward we parked and went inside for brunch.
Who ever said this place is good needs to go back to the retirement home.
Since when is brioche burnt toast cut diagonally. Duck eggs ok. Wolf neck farm beef ---Awful. it was just past gone bad, smelled terrible. Aspargus soup was good. But the gravlax with said "brioche", LAME. Everything was served with asparagus!
That with some pretentious queens waxing nasty in the other corner, i will never go there again. Sssssss.
Decor was nice, music Great, Service gracious.
They must survive on naive summer turistas.

The food and service here was out of this world.
The decor was very cool! It did not feel like I was in a restaurant in the Cape.
I ordered the Cod fritters for an appetizer and for dinner I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca & that was fabulous!!
The only thing that sucked was trying to find the place! It is kinda hidden in the back roads of Yarmouth port -

My only dining experience here was as a guest for a private function but it was absolutely amazing!!! I would give Abbicci's even more stars if I could! The place is beautifully furnished, the waitstaff were unbeatable, and the food was out of this world. We had rounds of tapas that were some of the best I've ever had. Very creative combinations (speck wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese, duck meatballs with apricots, & panko-crusted asparagus wrapped in proscuitto). The salad and entree (spinach tagliatelle) were absolutely marvelous as well. To top it off, there was valet service. I couldn't have been more pleased. Not only would I recommend it to anyone dining in the area, but it is also a great place for private parties! They just recently finished a second floor dining area for private parties which is quite charming.

Yes Yes, I agree, this is the best. I have been going there for years before the renovation, and though I miss the cozy feel of the old place, the renovated space is tres cool. Do not hesitate, you will have a very special meal, again and again and again. Great for special occasions too. You will not be let down,.

went once over a year ago for their early bird pri-fix special and maybe be they have changed but was not impressed at all. and i just can't handle the whole valet thing. why do they have this on the cape? i dont care how small the parking lot is, its still really annoying.

Sorry this place did not survive the times but a strange menu, hard to find location and high prices, well kinda saw it coming.

My friends and I got lost on our way to another restaurant in the area and decided to just go to this one which we saw on the way. BEST decision ever! The waiter was really great and gave us many good suggestions. We basically ordered a bunch of tapas. I was worried about not finding enough vegetarian options, but there were a few options ALL of which were amazing. I had the saffron risotto croquettes (little fried balls of it) with a lil goat cheese in the middle...amazing! The best dish, however, was a plate of phyllo dough pastries stuffed with ricotta, caramelized onions and pine nuts. it was so divine everyone at my table wanted more. The sangria was very sweet (maybe a little too sweet for my tastes). For dessert, we tried the coconut lime rice pudding and the mocha tiramisu. The tiramisu wasn't light enough, but the coconut lime rice pudding was amazing...very refreshing and flavorful.
This is definitely a diamond in the ruff when surrounded by typical New England seafood joints. One of the best meals of my vacation out there.
