The Abbey is the best live music venue in Durango for sure!!! It just recently got a little makeover with a nice new bar on the dance floor, theres also a bar in the lobby as well as upstairs, so waiting for a drink at a show isnt too bad. Great sound, awesome balcony spots and nice leather couches to chill on too! it is small and intimidate which is really nice when big acts come because you feel like you are at private show. Bartenders are always very friendly and always gettin down too!!!!
my favorite place in Durango to see a show no doubt. Love the ABBEY!!!
P.s.- the bathrooms that the Abbey and Cuckoos share together are VERY clean ladies!!! -

We saw Joe Ely here, I've worked as a sound engineer and I have to say the sound was excellent, the place is small but not too, it made for a great concert. The snack bar is average and the place is a bit run down but it has that local appeal.

Since being revamped a few years ago, the Abbey is finally getting the attention it deserves. Watch an Indie flick with a beer and snacks or get your groove on at one of the many shows put on here. Either way, you rock, Abbey!
